US news magazine images of black‐Asian American relationships, 1980–1992

During the past 20 years, primarily Latinos and Asians have immigranted to these shores and settled in urban areas. Media sources assert that this influx created particularly problematic relations between blacks and Asian Americans. Using Frame theory and textual analysis, we explored the images newsmagazines produced of this relationship. We found that one frame predominated: the nature of group relations had to do with each group's “essential”; qualities. Within this frame there also appeared four media packages: 1) the nature of the urban space, 2) the role of culture in the quality of relationships, 3) the essential qualities of urban residents and 4) the preeminence of class over race. Analysis of black‐Asian American relationships, while not strictly hegemonic, rarely deviated from accepted critiques. The nature of the coverage constrained understanding to personal shortcomings, while poverty and racial strife were rarely associated with historical and structural factors.     

浅析意识形态对抗战后期中美关系的影响

随着抗日战争胜利曙光的出现，中美两国在血与火中凝成的友谊发生了微妙的变化，其中有意识形态这个曾被忽视的精神领域因素的作用。文章主要通过对美国一贯的意识形态的考察、抗战后期美国意识形态的特点及中国国民党、共产党对此的反应，来试证意识形态对抗战后期中美关系有重大的影响。     

《在路上》中的西部情结

当代美国作家杰克.凯鲁亚克的小说《在路上》被誉为是"垮掉的一代"的宣言书和《圣经》,它是美国文学中诠释西行主题的经典之作。小说以主人公萨尔对东部厌倦———对西部的幻想———西部梦想的幻灭为线索,体现了"垮掉的一代"时代背景下所贯穿于作品当中的西部情结的主题。这一主题的凸显过程也暗含了美国文学中对东部和中西部所持的对立的传统看法,即东部是欧洲堕落的化身,而中西部是原始道德的发源地,这种西部情结背后深藏的是"垮掉的一代"对现实的不满、对社会的抗议和对自由精神的追求。     

现实主义与现实中的中俄关系

“现实主义”外交政策,是促使中俄关系稳步发展的关键要素。中俄战略协作伙伴关系的现实主义基础是双方有着共同的战略利益,即政治上有共识、经济上有互补、安全上有共同需要、外交上有战略一致等四个支柱。但双方的经贸合作进展不如人意,两国间在首脑会议上达成的协议,常常会由于各自政府强调其国家利益而不能实施;俄罗斯国内普遍流行“中国威胁”的宣传和认识;其他国家(如美国、日本)的牵制影响;历史遗留问题上的分歧等因素却制约着中俄关系的发展。

生产力合理布局思想是毛泽东进行工业化道路整体构思的重要内容。它的产生经历了长期的过程，是探索社会主义建设道路中的重大贡献。毛泽东生产力合理布局思想兼顾国防，政治和经济三方面的要求，尽管后来偏离正确方向，但仍不失是实践中的真理，真理中的实践。社会主义建设新时期，开放沿海，创办特区特别最近的西部开发，则是毛泽东生产力合理布局思想的继承和发展。     

Catalyzing Research Competitiveness: The Georgia Research Alliance

Virtually everywhere, there is governmental interest in developing and using science and technology as a tool for economic development and other public purposes. States within the United States look to advance vis-à-vis other states, just as nations seek to rise in competitiveness. What institutional mechanisms work? What research and other strategies are effective? The Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) represents an important model that appears successful. During the 1990s, key business executives, university presidents, and state government forged a research partnership - GRA. A non-profit entity, GRA played a catalytic role in getting state government, industry, and universities in a specific region to work in concert to hire scientific luminaries, attract federal research funds, and translate research into economic development. The dynamics of this catalytic entity are discussed using a life-cycle model of organizational development.     

五代十国时期的谏议制度初探

五代十国时期谏官的设置基本承袭唐制,各政权在戎马倥偬之际,仍能维持着比较完整的谏官建置。在谏官的选任迁转上,重视候选人的品德和从政经历。当时对谏官言事比较优容,并让其管理匦函之事。这都有助于谏官行施职权。谏官的职责主要是对君主进行谏诤,另有许多职外差遣。     

论李贽的八股文观及其实践

李贽在《童心说》中将八股文视为能够寄寓"童心"的"天下之至文",是由他的八股文观所决定的。李贽的这种八股文观,指的主要是可以自由地选择自己感兴趣的题目、无须仰人鼻息、不必谨守程式以至因文害意的"场下之文"。利用这种"代圣贤立言"的"场下之文",或顺题发挥,或屈题从己,二者均可以抒发胸臆、寄寓"童心",而后者在思想史上和阐释学上的意义尤其值得注意。李贽以《说书》中的四十四篇八股文实践了自己的理论主张,寄寓自己的思想和学问。
