专业化视野中职业院校教师专业素质的问题与对策

教师的专业素质作为教师专业化发展的一个重要方面,应当受到教师自身、学校管理者、教育部门的重视。调查发现:教师专业素质在专业知识、专业技能、专业态度等方面存在问题,应从职前培训、在职教育培训和师德建设来提升职业院校教师专业素质。     

Who Gets Vocal About Hyperlocal

This study examined the characteristics of readers who share hyperlocal news in person, over email, and through social media. A reader survey of 10 hyperlocal news websites that operate in a variety of communities in the United States was conducted (n?=?2289). More readers indicated sharing hyperlocal news in person than through email or social media. Higher neighborhood involvement and higher education tended to characterize readers who shared hyperlocal news via each of the three channels. Education moderated the association between neighborhood involvement and sharing news in person and via social media. These results suggested that highly involved readers with little education used social media more than their highly educated neighbors to share news from hyperlocal websites. The study extends the precepts of channel complementarity theory into the domain of online news sharing.     

Pregnant students in the gross anatomy laboratory: policies and practices at chiropractic colleges

Chiropractic and medical colleges have experienced a significant increase in the number of female applicants in recent years, a percentage of whom are pregnant or become pregnant following admission. It is therefore important to ask the question: How do institutions that educate future health care providers address the issue of pregnancy and the gross anatomy laboratory? A survey instrument was developed and pretested. IRB approval was obtained. The administrators charged with overseeing the policies and practices for the gross anatomy laboratory at each of the 16 chiropractic colleges in the USA were identified and contacted. An email containing a link to the Web based survey was sent to each, using SurveyMonkey. The survey response rate was 100%. A majority of colleges (69%) have a written policy regarding pregnancy and the gross laboratory. Of these, 36% allow pregnant students to take the laboratory if a waiver is signed, 18% do not allow them to take the laboratory, 18% allow them to take it without a waiver, and 27% have other policies. In cases where students do not take the gross laboratory while pregnant, 64% of colleges require them to take the laboratory after completion of their pregnancy, 27% require them to complete an alternative (dry) laboratory, and 9% have other policies. Considerable diversity exists in the way colleges address this issue. It is at present unknown whether pregnant students or their fetuses are at any risk from laboratory chemicals. 优秀初中数学教师教学行为的调查研究——基于学生的视角

以数学教师通常要求学生在课堂上所做的事情共39个项目为调查工具,调查学生眼中优秀数学教师的教学行为。285份问卷数据显示,初中生较为一致地认为优秀数学教师应该会在课堂中适时地给予他们思考以及动手操作的机会。但在其他教学行为项目中,初一学生和初三学生的评价观点有所差异。文章对这些差异进行了说明,并根据调查结果提出相应的教学建议。

文章阐述了学习支持服务体系的基本内涵,对江苏成人高等教育学习支持服务体系的现状进行了实证调查与分析,指出了如下4点不足之处：1．教学计划相对封闭、沟通不够。2．教学管理各自为政、要求不一。3．资源建设重复投入、效益不高。4．学历教育与职业技能培训教育、实用技术教育相互分离、联系不畅。

影视作品在高校中扮演越来越重要的角色,如能为高校思想政治教育工作所运用,定能起到事半功倍的功效。根据对广东部分高校的调查,通过对比分析,对在高校思想政治教育工作中借助影视作品以提高思想政治教育效果提出几点建议。

对甘肃省大学生的英语学习现状进行了调查,调查涉及学习者的学习策略、对教师教学方法的评价和要求,对自身学习及学习策略的评估、以及第二课堂等方面问题。依据调查分析结果提出了十二条教学建议。     

远程教育学习认可度与学习障碍的调查分析

随着人类进入学习型社会,远程教育打破了时间和空间的限制,在世界范围内引发了一场教育变革．文章以对泉州师院远程教育学习中心的厦门大学远程教育学员所进行的问卷调查为例,分析学员对远程教育的认可度和存在的学习障碍,针对远程教学和远程学习过程中所存在的问题提出建议．     

Comparing different measures of affective attributes relating to sustainability

A survey was developed to benchmark the affective sustainability characteristics of an incoming cohort of students in a Polytechnic in New Zealand, with the intention to monitor changes in these attributes as the students experience higher education over subsequent years. The survey contained a number of research instruments as we were interested in exploring how best to record these attributes. This article reports on the comparative efficacy of four of these instruments in describing the affective characteristics of the students. All the instruments depended on respondents’ self‐reporting in the absence of researchers or interviewers. The results do encourage us to have some confidence that students’ sustainability characteristics may be researched using a variety of survey‐based research instruments, and particular confidence in ongoing use of the Revised New Ecological Paradigm (NEP) scale.
