The perception of transcendent interest: Communication and identification in an emergent community

The interrelationships among five variables were analyzed in an effort to understand the process of community formation in a culturally plural metropolitan environment. The variables—perception of transcendent interest, perception of commonality, cooperative interaction, maintenance adaptation, and growth adaptation—were formulated by explicating and synthesizing the concepts of community, community identification, and coorientation. The perception of transcendent interest, described as the focal point of identification, and the basis of an emerging community, was found to correlate significantly with all the other four variables, but to be best predicted by cooperative interaction and maintenance adaptation. The study offers insight into the processes of acculturation and cultural group formation in a plural system.     

The “Petri” Dish: A Case of Simultaneous Invention in Bacteriology

Richard Julius Petri’s status as inventor of the culture dish that bears his name has been subject to a number of challenges over the years. Both those bacteriologists who claimed self-recognition for the invention, and those to whom it was attributed by their various advocates were all contemporaries of Petri. The evidence assembled here indicates that no single individual—including Petri—ought to be accorded credit for the inception of that shallow, circular, covered culture dish which, it transpires, is a simultaneous invention made by half a dozen bacteriologists active in the mid-1880s and ultimately owes its emergence to the prevailing bacteriological zeitgeist.

二十世纪美国著名诗人罗伯特·弗罗斯特的诗歌看似简单明了,充满田园风光,其实饱蘸孤独。这孤独缘于他生活的动荡年代,缘于他居住的荒芜地区（新英格兰地区）,更缘于他人生的厄运以及他对人生的感悟。隐喻及其它写作技巧的综合运用构成了“暗隐的孤独的快乐”。

On the Wisdoms of Human Life Embodied in Robert Frost’s Poems-A Brief Analysis of Motifs of Robert Frost’s Poems

Robert Frost is one of the famous poets of the 20th century American literature who won the Pulitzer Prize for four times. The reason for his popularity is partially because he employs traditional verse form and iambic pentameter pattern in poem writing, but the most important reason for the reputation of his poems lies in the thematic concern of something universal, such as death and life, love and hate, war and peace, the good and the evil, the wisdom of human life and etc. . A brief analysis will be given in the following text about the wisdoms of human life embodied in Robert Frost’s poems from three aspects: 1. Relaxation and responsibility of man. 2. The decisions in life.     

罗伯特·勃莱在中国的研究现状与展望

罗伯特·勃莱非常热爱中国文化,与中国有着与生俱来的关联,然而中国读者最早认识勃莱始于20世纪80年代。三十年来,对勃莱的研究基本上以诗歌翻译和零星点评为主,随着勃莱声誉渐起,特别是1968年获得美国图书大奖后,中国学者开始了对其诗歌和诗歌理论的研究。笔者通过梳理和总结勃莱在中国的研究现状,提出对未来勃莱研究的几点展望。     

空想社会主义:一种被遗忘的共和主义叙事——基于圣西门、傅立叶和欧文乌托邦思想之考察

虽然说圣西门、傅立叶和欧文阐发的空想社会主义属于乌托邦思想的一个新的理论阶段,但是在叙事话语和逻辑内核方面他们很大程度上承续了柏拉图和莫尔,即乌托邦思想中潜藏着共和主义叙事。不仅如此,空想社会主义作为一种共和主义叙事同样被遗忘于共和主义知识谱系之外。通过对相关文本的分析,我们着重从共和主义的视角对他们的空想社会主义进行了诠释,并希望将他们三个人的名字重新书写到共和主义的政治光谱之上。

文章分别选取哈耶克的自发秩序理论、米尔顿·弗里德曼的政府理论和罗伯特·诺齐克的正义论,从三个维度分析了新自由主义教育哲学的理论基础,并做出评价。

罗伯特·舒曼是德国历史上著名的作曲家和音乐评论家,是19世纪早期浪漫主义音乐艺术的化身。他的音乐美学思想对当时的音乐思潮产生了积极的推动作用。舒曼的音乐美学思想主要表现在强调音乐教育性,重视音乐的情感性因素,强调音乐传统和创新的统一等三个方面。
