中小学男女生品德得分差异的实证研究

调查发现,中小学男女学生的品德得分存在着显差异,而且从相对意义上来看,小学4-6年级和初中1-2年级女生的品德发展水平高于男生,男生在品德内容的大多数项目上的表现不如女生。但这并不是说男生的品德的绝对水平低下、品德问题很多,更不是否认男生品德发展的潜力,出现上述情况,即有生理心理等原因,又有社会化的原因。

Identification of drug-resistantMycobacterium tuberculosis by single strand conformation polymorphism and cleavase fragment length polymorphism

Twenty isolates ofMycobacterium tuberculosis resistant to rifampicin(RIF), isoniazid(INH) and streptomycin(STR) were analysed by Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) amplification of rpoB, katG and rrs genes to evaluate comparative diagnostic significance of genetic assays. Mutations were identified by single strand conformation polymorphism (SSCP) and cleavase fragment length polymorphism (CFLP) and were confirmed by DNA sequencing. SSCP of 4 RIF resistant and 14 INH resistant isolates showed an extra peak at the level of 75-bp and 85-bp respectively, while 2 STR resistant isolates showed 2 peaks with 9 bases difference. CFLP showed a different pattern among RIF, INH and STR sensitive and resistant isolates Thus SSCP and CFLP can be used as alternative diagnostic methods for identification of mutations in RIF, INH and STR resistant strains of M.tuberculosis.     

20世纪90年代河北省人口出生性别比真实水平的统计推断

普查资料显示,我国各省、市、自治区之间的人口出生性别比存在很大的差异性。通过对河北省"四普"和"五普"中同批人的统计资料分析表明,低年龄人口的漏报、瞒报现象是造成河北省出生性别比统计偏高的主要因素,但20世纪90年代出生人口性别比的真实水平仍然明显高于国际公认的正常水平。     

The Smarter Sex: A Critical Review of Sex Differences in Intelligence

Although there are no sex differences in general intelligence, reliable differences are found on some tests of cognitive abilities. Many of the tasks that assess the ability to manipulate visual images in working memory show an advantage for males, whereas many of the tasks that require retrieval from long-term memory and the acquisition and use of verbal information show a female advantage. Large effects favoring males are also found on advanced tests of mathematical achievement, especially with highly select samples. Males are also overrepresented in some types of mental retardation. Effects sizes are variable and often large. These differences are generally found cross-culturally and across the life span. The nature–nurture dichotomy is rejected as an interpretive framework. In light of recent findings that environmental variables alter the biological underpinnings of intelligence and individuals actively participate in creating their environments, we prefer a psychobiosocial model for understanding sex differences in intelligence.     

Mediating effect of aerobic fitness on the association between physical activity and academic achievement among adolescents: A cross-sectional study in Okinawa,Japan

The purpose of this study was to examine the potential role of aerobic fitness (AF) as a mediator of the association between physical activity (PA) and academic achievement (AA) among Japanese junior high school students. A cross-sectional data was collected from 608 7th grade students enrolled at five public junior high schools in two suburban municipalities in Okinawa, Japan. Self-reported PA was assessed using the Patient-Centred Assessment and Counselling for Exercise plus Nutrition questionnaire. The 20-meter shuttle run test was performed to determine AF. AA was evaluated using the overall grade point average. Family structure, parental education level, and achievement motives were the self-reported covariates. The results of the bootstrapped mediation analysis indicated that PA had a direct effect on AF, which in turn influenced the AA among boys. After adjusting for AF, the association between PA and AA disappeared while the association of AF with AA still remained. However, neither PA nor AF was associated with the AA of girls. Therefore, the hypothesis that AF might mediate the relationship between PA and AA was supported for boys. Promoting AF, as a result of engaging to PA could positively influence AA particularly in boys.     

What a queer space is HPE,or is it yet? Queer theory,sexualities and pedagogy

Physical education, or HPE, is arguably a very queer space not only in the daily practices between students and teachers in schools but also in the broader field. This paper explores theoretical interactions with the HPE field in terms of the development and employment of queer theory, and links between associated sexualities and pedagogy research in HPE. I begin by (not) defining queer theory, its emergence and development. In short, I argue that the absence of queerness in HPE is very queer indeed! I address some of the significant fields of (non)influence dominating or marginalized in HPE research before identifying potential shifts to imagine what a queer pedagogy of movement or physical culture might look like in HPE as a point for further debate.     

基于微博用户的情绪变化分析

通过网络大数据的方法宏观地分析微博用户在不同季节和时间的情绪变化.以195万微博活跃用户为样本,在每个季节下载一周的微博活跃用户数据,利用“中文心理分析系统”计算每个季节积极情绪和消极情绪词的词频.结果显示：1）人们的综合情绪的2个高峰分别在中午和晚8点;2）虽然人们在周末的积极情绪与工作日无异,但消极情绪在周末明显低于工作日;3）人们在夏季的积极情绪和消极情绪最高,在秋季的积极情绪和消极情绪最低;4）两种性别的情绪走势一致,但女性较男性有更多情绪表达、更情绪化,更易感.     

Sterilizing society: social order and policing sex work in Taiwan

This article utilizes Michel Foucault's view of state racism to analyze the criminalization of sex workers in Taiwan. To explore the political significance underlying the term “sex work” for anti-prostitution activists, we must historically situate their discourses and their impact on legal control in the late 1980s women's movements. Their efforts to reform society followed from their commitment to child protection and from their long-standing goal of eliminating women's sexuality through motherhood. An uphill battle, marshaled chiefly by the amendment of the Youth Welfare Act in 1988 and the legislation of CYSTPA in 1995, it became more furious in its assault on sex workers. By 2009, whereas those anti-prostitution activists had promoted anti-human trafficking provisions to protect victims under the age of 18, such provisions had in reality become mechanisms for arresting anyone related with the sex industry. This means that what was put forward as a principle for the integration of society and its visible order was based on sexual inequality. Contrasting the strategies and rhetoric of regulating sex workers in Taiwan, what is really necessary is to bring the cultural dynamics behind policies into a sharper view of state racism.
