协同理论有两层含义:企业内部资源协同,企业外部资源协同即供应链的协同。以协同理论和信息系统的集成方法为依托,提出制造业企业信息系统集成的框架。框架基于数据挖掘技术和Web Services技术,内部协同框架表现为企业应用集成,外部协同框架表现为协同商务平台。整个框架提高了企业内外部信息传递和沟通的有效性,保证了供应链上各个环节信息的有效收集和传递,实现了企业价值增值。图2。参考文献7。     

Can constrained relevance feedback and display strategies help users retrieve items on mobile devices?

Searching online information resources using mobile devices is affected by small screens which can display only a fraction of ranked search results. In this paper we investigate whether the search effort can be reduced by means of a simple user feedback: for a screenful of search results the user is encouraged to indicate a single most relevant document. In our approach we exploit the fact that, for small display sizes and limited user actions, we can construct a user decision tree representing all possible outcomes of the user interaction with the system. Examining the trees we can compute an upper limit on relevance feedback performance. In this study we consider three standard feedback algorithms: Rocchio, Robertson/Sparck-Jones (RSJ) and a Bayesian algorithm. We evaluate them in conjunction with two strategies for presenting search results: a document ranking that attempts to maximize information gain from the user’s choices and the top-D ranked documents. Experimental results indicate that for RSJ feedback which involves an explicit feature selection policy, the greedy top-D display is more appropriate. For the other two algorithms, the exploratory display that maximizes information gain produces better results. We conducted a user study to compare the performance of the relevance feedback methods with real users and compare the results with the findings from the tree analysis. This comparison between the simulations and real user behaviour indicates that the Bayesian algorithm, coupled with the sampled display, is the most effective. 文章以出版人张元济的图书馆事业为中心,通过对张元济参与图书馆事业的历程以及其图书馆理念与实践的考察,窥探民国出版界与图书馆界的互动及影响,最后指出,两个看似"跨界"的界别同属特殊的"文化事业"行业,需要紧密合作才能实现共赢,而至今缺乏的就是缺少张元济式的人,一个真正以"文化精神"办"文化事业"的知识分子群体。     

If we built it,would they come? Creating instruction videos with promotion in mind

This article reports on a video project done in an academic library where faculty were included in the production and marketing of the library instruction videos. The videos allowed the librarian to provide a shorter presentation and spend most of her time working individually with each student. The results showed that 97% of the students watched the videos and were able to benefit from the content. The implementation of the videos was a success due to the collaboration of the professors teaching the three courses and the buy-in of the course coordinator; both factors were essential in the success of the video project.

Between business and morality: cultural politics in independent bookshops in China

ABSTRACT

This article investigates how cultural businesses may facilitate contentious political activity in authoritarian contexts. Existing research in Western liberal democracies has shown the widespread political activism of actors in the cultural and creative industries. Whether such activism exists in authoritarian society, how it may differ in character and form, and what implications this will have for our understanding of relations between business, politics, and culture in authoritarian countries remain to be addressed. Drawing on data collected from 55 ‘independent bookshops’ in China, I illustrate how these organisations perform ‘cultural politics,’ a type of political participation in which actors employ mainly symbolic means to express social and political concerns. The organisations’ economic relations and conditions facilitate their efforts to create spaces in which contentious questions can be raised, sensitive topics explored, and alternative ideas expressed, despite the Chinese state’s political regulation of the cultural sphere. The finding of the economic embeddedness of cultural politics sheds new light on our understanding of the political economy of cultural businesses in contemporary China.

论商号与商标权利冲突的法律对策

商号与商标的权利冲突现象在实践中大量存在,既有经济利益驱动的内在原因,又有立法不完善的外在原因。为解决这一问题,应改变现有的分别立法的作法,将商号权的保护纳入到商标法的保护范畴之中,同时完善现有的商号登记程序,增加联合检索和公示异议程序,在立法中明确对侵权商号和商标的处理方式。     

Empire Redefined: Part 1

During the 17th and 18th centuries, the Dutch East India Company exerted monopolistic control over spices and coffee, with huge financial returns for those who invested in the company. Also during this time, a combination of business factors emerged to allow the early distribution of published works to gain hold and become a viable commercial enterprise. The early years of Dutch publishing are not well known but when examined they parallel the historical context in which geopolitical empires were the norm. The story of the start of a modern day publishing house is examined through the dual histories of two Dutch business ventures that thrived and failed during a turbulent time of colonial exploitation.
