We address a capacitated vehicle routing problem (CVRP) in which the demand of a node can be split on several vehicles celled split services by assuming heterogeneous fixed fleet. The objective is to minimize the fleet cost and total distance traveled. The fleet cost is dependent on the number of vehicles used and the total unused capacity. In most practical cases, especially in urban transportation, several vehicles transiting on a demand point occurs. Thus, the split services can aid to minimize the number of used vehicles by maximizing the capacity utilization. This paper presents a mix-integer linear model of a CVRP with split services and heterogeneous fleet. This model is then solved by using a simulated annealing (SA) method. Our analysis suggests that the proposed model enables users to establish routes to serve all given customers using the minimum number of vehicles and maximum capacity. Our proposed method can also find very good solutions in a reasonable amount of time. To illustrate these solutions further, a number of test problems in small and large sizes are solved and computational results are reported in the paper.  相似文献

A case study approach was used to document the literacy experiences of 25 fathers and their children who participated in a family literacy program. It explored the effects of a literacy intervention that was designed to assist fathers of five-year-old children to develop their children’s literacy learning in a family environment. The findings indicated that the fathers promoted their children’s literacy development when they learned literacy strategies and activities in the program. Although all fathers were provided with the same literacy content, they differed in their use of literacy strategies. Themes were identified and described based on the literacy strategies, interactions, materials, and activities that the fathers used.  相似文献

This article examines the changing journalistic norms and roles in terms of mobile and sedentary news work at the end of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The analysis draws on the research into the small everyday tools of bureaucracy and science. The focus is on the quill, the scissors and paste pot, the body of the reporter and the computer. Journalistic neutrality and truth seem at any given time to be defined in line with the practices made possible by the available tools. A change in tools makes new practices possible, meaning that the norms have to be redefined. Journalism was once synonymous with mobile reporters reporting on events they themselves witnessed. Journalism today, however, is often sedentary copy-and-paste work, much resembling the scissors-and-paste journalism of the nineteenth century. Comparison reveals that such transmission of texts and images produced by someone else always runs the risk of reproducing the voices of the elites.  相似文献

This article reports the findings of a comparative study of teaching in Denmark and England. Its broader aim is to help develop an approach for comparing pedagogy. Lesson observations and interviews identified the range of goals towards which teachers in each country worked and the actions these prompted. These were clustered using the lens of Bernstein’s pedagogic discourse to construct teacher roles, which provided a view of pedagogy. Through this approach we have begun to identify variations in pedagogy across two countries. All teachers in this study adopted a variety of roles. Of significance was the ease with which competent English teachers moved between roles. The English teachers observed adopted roles consistent with a wider techno-rationalist discourse. There was a greater subject emphasis by Danish teachers, whose work was set predominantly within a democratic humanist discourse, whilst the English teachers placed a greater emphasis on applied skills.  相似文献
