英汉语思维模式差异对其语言结构及功能存在很大影响。中国英语学习者有必要了解英汉语思维模式的差异及其对语言结构的作用和关系，在学习、使用英语的过程中转换思维模式，走出学习误区，提高英语应用水平。

“海上画派”是我国近代绘画史上一个重要流派。“海上画派”在继承传统绘画“扬州八怪”绘画思想的基础上,具有其独特艺术风格和鲜明的时代感。他们的画作既保持了中国画的一些传统特点,又以开放的胸怀融合着西方绘画,这些绘画的特点为后来中国的花鸟画如何包容并消化西方绘画的冲击而寻求的变革而提供了重要的启示。这些启示对于中国现代的水墨花鸟画创作有着非同一般的意义。     

Nonverbal immediacy in the physician/patient relationship

This study examined the relationships between the nonverbal immediacy of physicians and their patients’ satisfaction with them as doctors and overall medical care. Consistent with the results of previous studies in the instructional and organizational communication areas, substantial associations were found in this medical context. Patients who see their physicians as more immediate report more satisfaction with the physician and are generally more satisfied with the medical care they receive. The patients also indicated experiencing less fear of their physician when the physician was more immediate.     

Continuing the tradition… advancing the boundaries

This study investigated the influence that social and emotional support have on attributional confidence in the brother‐brother relationship. Two‐hundred thirteen males reported on the relationship with their brother. Social support dimensions of relational support, interpersonal depth, relational conflict and emotional support were examined as a function of attributional confidence. Results indicated positive relationships between social support dimensions of relational support and interpersonal depth with attributional confidence. Relational conflict was negatively related to attributional confidence. No significant relationship between emotional support and attributional confidence was observed.     

Understanding and Managing Others: The Impact of Social Intelligence upon Social Influence

The present study provided support for the relevance of social intelligence—to social influence. Consistent with but extending past research, recognizing situational influences (i.e., discriminative facility) was associated with effective social interactions. In particular, individuals high in discriminative facility demonstrated greater flexibility when considering influence tactics than individuals low in discriminative facility.
