卡特就任美国总统后,正式提出了人权外交战略。美国人权外交虽然不能排除其理想主义成分,但其主要动机是国家利益方面的现实主义考虑。第三世界国家是美国实施人权外交的重要。卡特政府对第三世界的人权外交有其自己的特点。对卡特政府实施人权外次,历来评说不一。不能否认,卡特政府对第三世界国家的人权政策取得了某些收获。但总体上讲,它并没有达到预期的目的,反而使美国的安全利益受到损害。 相似文献

“第三条道路”是当代美国民主党和英国工党等欧美左翼政党为解决全球化时代所面临的国内外问题而提出的政治理论主张,它主要体现在政府调控与市场机制、经济发展与社会公正、国家利益与国际合作等方面的平衡上。这种社会思潮在当代的兴起,顺应了冷战后资本主义国家社会、政治、经济、文化等新的发展变化的需要,也是对全球经济一体化的反应。中产阶级的扩大为“第三条道路”的兴起奠定了社会基础,为中左翼政党扩大政治影响并上台执政发挥了重要作用。目前,“第三条道路”尚未形成完整严谨的理论体系,还须实践的检验。 相似文献

Universities everywhere are being forced to carefully reconsider their role in society and to evaluate the relationships with
their various constituencies, stakeholders, and communities. In this article, stakeholder analysis is put forward as a tool to assist universities in classifying stakeholders and determining stakeholder salience. Increasingly
universities are expected to assume a third mission and to engage in interactions with industrial and regional partners. While incentive schemes and government programmes try
to encourage universities to reach out more to external communities, some important barriers to such linkages still remain.
To fulfil their obligation towards being a socially accountable institution and to prevent mission overload, universities will have to carefully select their stakeholders and identify the ‘right’ degree of differentiation. For the
university, thinking in terms of partnerships with key stakeholders has important implications for its governance and accountability
arrangements. For the future of the universities we foresee a change towards networked governance and arrangements to ensure accountability along the lines of corporate social responsibility. In order to further explore some of these concepts and to empirically investigate the tendencies suggested here, this article
proposes an ambitious research agenda for tackling the emerging issues of governance, stakeholder management and higher education’s

This article analyzes a hybrid after-school learning activity for children called “New School” (NS). NS is an inter-institutional,
collaborative project based on a partnership between a university and local elementary schools that also involves other social
actors and institutions. Using a framework of third generation activity theory, the article illuminates emerging forms of
learning in this hybrid activity that attempt to transform traditional school learning. NS seeks to create innovative networks
of learning that will expand schooling activity by creating hybrid forms in collaboration with outside communities and organizations.
The analysis of the NS intervention explores to what extent the different partners cross boundaries between their activity
systems and their willingness to make school changes together as collaborative change agents. Preliminary findings indicate
intense contradictions between the involved activity systems. Nevertheless, contradictions also energized collaborative efforts

Third Culture Kids (TCKs), people who spend a significant number of their developmental years in a country other than their parents’ passport (home) country, have many positive attributes. These include the ability to see other points of view, be open to people from different backgrounds, and be adaptable. This phenomenological study, based on interview data, explored how their identity as TCKs helped them succeed in college through an anti-deficit perspective. The population was nine participants (three men, six women) who had all lived outside of the United States of America (their parents’ home country) for at least seven years before the age of 18 and who returned to the United States. for college. The findings indicate a need for updated study on the experiences of Third Culture Kids and how they conceptualize and understand their own identities and its relation to the idea of a third culture. Recommendations are made for TCKs and their families, and institutions of higher education in supporting them. 相似文献

入主白宫前,在国会里长期从事对外事务工作的肯尼迪逐渐形成了较为系统的外交思想。其外交思想的核心是反共和对苏联冷战。然而,与传统冷战斗士不同的是,肯尼迪更加重视美国在经济、技术和文化领域同苏联的竞争,更加关注第三世界国家的发展走向;在对待亚非民族解放运动的问题上,肯尼迪也采取了更为现实和客观的立场。与艾森豪威尔相比,肯尼迪的外交思想更具主动性,更有利于对苏联为首的社会主义阵营的冷战。 相似文献
