孔子的"知人观"及其对后世文论的影响

"知人观"是孔子思想中极为重要的一种构成,它是孔子从"为师"和"为学"两个不同立足点出发而形成的一种事关言说和接受的经验之谈,其具化于言说和接受两个层面.孔子的理解虽然不专对文学,但因为孔子思想对中国文化的整体性渗透和影响,加之后世许多理论家有意识的文学化改造,所以他的思考对后世文论思想还是产生了重要的影响.这种影响突出体现于作家--作品品评风尚和知音论两个区域.

认识和对待传统的必要思路

严格区分并清晰界定教育传统和传统教育,是澄清对传统的认识,走出传统问题误区的必须。教育传统是文化,传统教育是学术。传统教育不宜分好坏,教育传统无所谓好坏。不宜分好坏,则须告别“两分法”、“阶级分析法”,代之以“体用法”,即对传统之体从积极意义的角度作分析研究,将其有益功用发挥出来;无所谓好坏,因为教育传统是活生生地存活于当代民族每一成员心中的文化心理,她既影响于现在、也渗透于未来。对教育传统,只有弘扬的问题。

作为中国现代文学的经典,鲁迅作品在中学语文教学中备受推崇,但也面临着许多尴尬和无奈。教师和学生对鲁迅及其作品的距离感是导致这一现象的根源。打通鲁迅与师生之间的隔膜就成为当务之急。“对话”是沟通过去和现在的最佳途径。通过“对话”感悟鲁迅,用经典的魅力滋养我们的心灵。     

“为了理解的教学”模式在化学教学中的应用

美国哈佛大学教育研究生院开发的全球网络培训课程项目的核心是＂为了理解的教学＂模式,本文简单介绍了这一模式的四个基本组成,并将其应用到高中化学教学中,总结了它的应用价值。     

The use of language in understanding subject matter

Empirical results show that frequently the meaning of expressions used by students in expressing their understanding of subject matter does not correspond to the meaning of those expressions in the subject matter theory that the students are expected to learn. There is also often a lack of identity of meaning between the same students’ use of the same expression from one use of the expression to another, in very similar contexts. The context gives a specific meaning to any expression. This variation in context and meaning is very central to the phenomena of teaching and learning. In educational research there is a need to differentiate between specific meanings expressed in conceptualizing subject matter, on the one hand, and concepts and meanings seen as parts of cognitive systems and social languages, on the other. The contextual character of the use of language is crucial to the understanding of teaching and learning and needs to be more carefully considered. The article is a discussion of the problem of varying meanings of language expressions in relation to major traditions of research, focusing on meanings and concepts within the field of learning and teaching.     

论教学语言的评价标准

确立教学语言的评价标准,是建设教学语言科学理论体系的需要,使我们能够以此正确判别教学语言的优劣高下,论定教师驾驭和运用语言的水准,切实、有效指导教学实践活动.教学语言的评价的总体标准毫无疑问是教学目的达成,它可以分解成沟通性标准、理解性标准、艺术性标准.这三条标准是有机的整体,相互联系,逐层提高.     

Student teachers’ conceptions of sustainable development: the starting-points of geographers and scientists

Postgraduate student teachers’ conceptions of sustainable development were elicited using a questionnaire completed by the entire cohort of geography (N = 21) and science (N = 40) students starting the University of Oxford Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) secondary course. Responses were analysed in three ways: (i) development of categories to capture features of sustainable development; (ii) scrutiny of individual responses for the presence or absence of key features (specifically environmental, economic and social factors); and (iii) in contrast to these grounded approaches, examination of the responses in light of a pre-specified framework. Notable findings were: (i) the large numbers recognizing the centrality of environmental (87%), economic (69%) and social (49%) factors—about a third highlighted all three factors (the geographers significantly more so than the scientists), while a further third mentioned two of them; (ii) when compared with the pre-specified framework, the aspects of sustainable development largely missing were to do with preservation of diversity, and with uncertainty and precaution in action; (iii) only one response contained an aesthetic element; and (iv) when comparing education for sustainable development with environmental education, the most frequent view identified the former as broader. The findings are related to contemporary literature in the field and some implications for PGCE learning are considered.

信息作为推动经济发展的一个新动力,近几年来被人们广泛关注,但是对信息的哲学属性的认识往往还停留在意识或认识论的范畴,这对于未来的经济发展不能说不是一种局限。本文从物质、能量和信息的关系出发借助熵的概念,说明信息的物质性,借以说明人类发展的物质资源是无限循环的,我们只要合理利用就可以促进经济的可持续发展。     

Physical Chemistry in Practice: Evaluation of DVD Modules

The Physical Chemistry in Practice (PCIP) DVD contains video programs (modules) and experimental data that present the research of scientists working in applications of physical chemistry. The DVD allows students to learn about cutting edge research in physical chemistry while making connections to the theoretical concepts learned in lecture. PCIP-DVD allows students to build verbal and pictorial models of the experiments, instrumentation, and data that can be integrated with the material covered in lecture. For each of the modules implemented students were tested in a pre/post test fashion over content related objectives. For every module the students demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in their understanding.
