Protective influence of vitamin E on the antioxidant defence system in the whole blood and liver of normal and alloxan-induced diabetic rats

The effect of oral administration of vitamin E for twenty-eight consecutive days on blood glucose, reduced glutathione levels, antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase and catalase activities), and levels of malondialdehyde (as an index of free radical-mediated lipid peroxidation) was observed in the whole blood and liver of normal and alloxan-induced diabetic rats. It was found that oral administration of vitamin E significantly (p<0.05) lowered the blood glucose level and increased the body weight of the diabetic rats. The activities of superoxide dismutase and levels of reduced glutathione increased significantly (p<0.05) while the level of lipid peroxidation decreased.     

悬汞电极伏安法测定药物中维生素B_1的含量

在3．0×10-4mol·L－1KCl废液中（pH＝4．0～5．0）。起始电位－0．1V,维生素B1（VB1）在－0．32V（VS·SCE）出现吸附还原峰,通过对该峰的性质及反应机理的研究,确认此峰为吸附还原峰,电极反应为单电子还原。在合适条件下,该还原峰的峰电流与VB1的浓度在4．0×10－6～8．4×10－3mol·L－1范围内成线性关系,检测下限为2．0×10－6mol·L-1。用此法测药物中VB1的含量,结果令人满意。     

Fe3+-KSCN分光光度法测药物中的维生素C

还原型维生素C能使[Fe(SCN)x]^3-x血红色溶液褪色。本研究以此为基础建立了用分光光度法测维生素C的新方法。维生素C的质量浓度在0～403．2mg／L范围内服从比耳定律。本法在HAc—NaAc体系中用于药物中维生素C含量的测定，回收率在92．1％～102．9％之间。     

Evaluation of Serum Vitamin B12 Levels and Its Correlation with Anti-Thyroperoxidase Antibody in Patients with Autoimmune Thyroid Disorders

Vitamin B12 deficiency has been reported in patients with Autoimmune thyroid disorders. However there is limited data on exact prevalence of low B12 and its correlation with anti-thyroperoxidase antibody (anti-TPO) levels in these patients. The aim of our study was to estimate serum vitamin B12 levels in autoimmune thyroid disorders and to correlate B12 levels with anti-TPO. 350 patients were selected by convenient sampling. Vitamin B12 levels and thyroid parameters were estimated using fully automated chemiluminescence method on Access 2. Results of our study shows that using the manufacturer’s cut-off of 145 pg/mL, the prevalence of low serum vitamin B12 was found to be 45.50 %. Higher prevalence (55 %) was seen based on the published cut-off of 200 pg/mL The study however did not demonstrate any significant correlation between vitamin B12 levels and anti-TPO (r = −0.11 and p value of 0.30).

通过对其饲养管理的方法的调查及饲料、饮水等的分析,认为饲料中含磷量过高是引起牛尿道结石发病率高的主要原因;此外,冬春季节饲料中维生素A的缺乏也是造成发病的重要因素。     

几种补充学龄前儿童维生素C的水果的光谱分析

为了补充学龄前儿童维生素C的需要,采用光谱法对几种水果中维生素C的含量进行分析.通过单因素实验和正交实验确定了最佳条件.光谱法的标准曲线为Y=0.019 5X+0.076 8,相关系数r=0.999 5,变异系数为0.12,回收率为99.17%~100.3%.     

Serum Vitamin D Levels in Indian Patients with Multiple Sclerosis

Low serum vitamin D level has an increased association with risk of multiple sclerosis (MS).There has been no published data on the levels of this vitamin in Indian population with MS. Hence we decided to undertake this study to document if there is evidence of vitamin D deficiency in patients with MS in our population. 26 patients with diagnosis of MS by modified Mc Donald’s criteria were enrolled in this study. Serum vitamin D (1,25 hydroxy) levels were measured by electro-chemiluminescence in our biochemistry lab. An age-matched control group of 202 patients who did not have a diagnosis of MS were included. In our study group 76.9 % had vitamin D level less than 20 ng/ml compared to 65.5 % of control group (p value of 0.019). Our study revealed a trend towards low vitamin D values in Indian MS patients.     

Condition of Vitamin A of Players and Its Evaluation

In this study serum axerphthol of 111 samples were measured with HPLC. The values for experimental group and control group (respectively 76. 06± 29. 36μg/dl and 52. 29±24. 26μg/dl; ) showed extremely significant difference.Testing dark adaptation with YA - Ⅱ Dark Adaptor, the values for the two groups were respectively 24. 95±14. 97 and 28. 81±14. 36 seconds. Both indexes reflected that nutrition of Vitamin A of these players was in good condititon.     

碳黑微电极快速测定果蔬中Vc含量

报道了用碳黑微电极快速测定Vc含量的一种新方法。实验结果表明.在pH为4.50的HAc-NaAc缓冲液中,Vc在该电极上的线性范围为6.0×10~(?)～2.0×10~5mol/L:最低检测限(3σ)为2.0×10~5mol/L。用这种电极测定Vc的含量,操作简单、数据准确、结果令人满意。
