‘Going global’: conceptualization of the ‘other’ and interpretation of cross-cultural experience in an all-white,rural learning environment

Based on an ethnographic case study done in an all-white, rural middle school, this article examines the students’ experience with and interpretation of an international education program implemented with a hope of providing more global/international contents to the curriculum. The study shows that these students interpreted other cultures introduced by the program in relation to their own culture and their own identity formation. The process of local ‘othering’ within the student school community was analogous to that of the students’ collective ‘othering’ of unfamiliar non-US cultures. The idea of US-centrism based on US consumer culture became the main standard against which the ‘otherness’ of different cultures were measured. The findings show how prejudice and stereotyping of global others derive from both the everyday process of differentiation in local home cultures and defense of national culture.     

中小企业融资困境的破解途径——基于城市商业银行的视角

中小企业是国民经济的重要组成部分,然而其所占有的金融资源与其为社会所做的贡献极不匹配,融资难依旧得不到解决。本文首先从企业、银行、政府和金融生态环境四个角度阐述了中小企业融资难的原因,其次分析城市商业银行与中小企业的匹配度和现行城市商业银行支持中小企业发展的制约因素。最后,基于城市商业银行的视角提出破解中小企业融资困境的新途径。

萍乡是一个资源枯竭型城市,正处在转型发展阶段,"文化兴市"已经成为萍乡发展战略中的重要组成部分。本文通过对萍乡文化产业发展的优劣势分析,梳理了萍乡文化产业发展的现状,具有较强的实践意义,同时也可以丰富萍乡文化产业的研究理论。     

瑞安市学前儿童体育活动的现状调查

本文以瑞安市学前儿童体育活动的现状为研究对象,运用文献法、调查法、逻辑法等对瑞安市学前儿童体育活动开展现状进行调查。结果显示：瑞安市幼儿体育价值观还是比较全面的,但还没有形成一个统一的认识、明确的体育目标,缺乏统一的活动内容和效果评价标准,幼儿教师培训、学习的机会偏少,缺乏专业的幼儿体育师资人才、体育活动场地不足,器材偏少等问题。针对存在的问题,提出相应的发展对策,旨在为瑞安市学前儿童体育活动提供参考和借鉴。     

感受象征的力量——福州城市发展的非言语修辞行为探析

修辞批评系统分析修辞者的修辞行为是否具有说服力、如何影响受众,从而挖掘修辞者的修辞动机和修辞目的。修辞者的修辞行为可分为言语行为与非言语行为。对于一个城市来说,其修辞行为与发展两者有机结合,不可分割。言语修辞行为、非言语修辞行为的内容、形式、过程等等,都可以极大地影响、决定城市发展的方向、策略、甚至成败。     

大学城图书馆资源共知共建共享研究——以长安大学城为例

随着高等教育规模的扩大，大学城在我国得到了迅速的发展。本文分析了长安大学城图书馆资源共知共建共享的现状、必要性。针对共建共享中存在的问题提出对策。     

The perceived impacts of e-government on U.S. cities: A survey of Florida and Texas City managers

This study examines the perceived impacts of electronic government or e-government adoption on U.S. cities. This research conducted a survey of Texas and Florida city managers in the fall of 2005 to find out their opinions on the impact of e-government on their city government. The results indicated that e-government is having a positive impact on management, stakeholder involvement, needs and collaboration, and procurement in American cities. There are, however, concerns over spam or unsolicited e-mail and the ability of e-government to reduce the level of staffing. The results of this study imply that, according to city managers' perceptions, e-government adoption in American city governments is positively viewed as having an impact on their organizations and communities.     

宁波市城市居民体育消费现状调查研究

运用问卷调查、专家访谈等方法,对宁波市城市居民2001年体育消费情况进行了调查.研究结果表明:宁波市城市居民体育价值观念主要取向于强身健体、休闲娱乐,居民的体育休闲方式内容多样.体育消费结构主要以实物型体育消费为主,参与型体育消费呈现增长的趋势.经济社会条件、消费观念及消费意识等因素是影响宁波市城市居民参与体育消费的主要因素.     

"天水"由来考证

汉武帝元鼎三年 (前 114年 ) ,分陇西郡置天水郡。于“天水”名称的由来 ,历代学者均以郭仲产《秦州记》和郦道元《水经注》的相关解释为依据 ,按各自的理解做了各种各样的解说 ,并将“天水”定位于民国时尚存的天水湖 ;近年来 ,有关“天水”的解释更是新说迭出 ,然仔细分析 ,诸多解释皆不得其实 ,难以成立。其实“天水”之名是由神灵崇拜、术数星相 ,主要是阴阳五行等综合因素衍生的。天水即“天一生水”之谓也     

健身气功在构建上海市多元化社区体育服务体系中的作用

采用文献资料、问卷调查、专家访谈等研究方法,对健身气功如何在社区体育设施、组织、指导、信息等方面发挥服务作用进行了探讨。认为:健身气功在构建多元化社区体育服务体系中起到了积极作用。提出应完善健身气功站点建设,加强组织网络体系构建,并将两者紧密联系发展等建议。
