在介绍无线网络技术的基础上,提出了高校图书馆无线信息平台构建的可行性,并结合实例阐述了基于802．1X接入认证的无线网络环境建设及安全管理方案。     

Are Students Customers in Finnish Higher Education?

This study examines Finnish higher education students’ perceptions of whether students are customers, based on qualitative interview data. The article contributes to the discussion on students as customers by giving attention to students’ own voices from a country where tuition fees are not generally collected. The data are presented and analysed using a matrix of preference and perception of seeing students as customers. While the data contained student voices insisting that it is not appropriate to talk about customers because money is not involved, different orientations showing either a preference or perception of students as customers were also described. It is concluded that seeing a student as a customer might be a solution to various higher education challenges which are not all related to tuition fees.

采用Mastercam X一体化软件,以可乐瓶底电极模为例,研究了从造型设计、实体建模、编制工艺、虚拟制造、数控加工刀具轨迹仿真、代码生成,并将自动生成的数控程序传输给数控机床的全面解决方案。应用该软件缩短了模具的设计、改型、制造周期,提高了模具加工精度。

2012年8月16日美国教育部发布了“力争上游”学区竞争计划的联邦公告,这标志着美国中小学教育改革战略“力争上游”开始从州层面转向学区层面.这项计划通过创设个性化的学习环境、聚焦教室层面的教和学的改革来提高学生成绩和教育工作者的效率.这项计划的最终目标是促进美国基础教育均衡发展和使美国所有学生都能享受世界一流教育.本文基于计划出台背景的分析,介绍了这项计划的主要内容及为我国带来的启示.     

基于Windows Phone平台的手机校园GIS系统设计方案

从探讨未来智慧校园移动端GIS产品的角度考量,利用云计算技术,以Microsoft Visual Studio 2010为开发平台,采用C#语言为开发语言,以ArcGIS Server 10为GIS服务端,设计开发了Windows Phone手机移动端的手机校园GIS系统。整个系统主要由校园新闻模块、课程安排模块、地图查询模块、我的日记模块、最近天气模块组成,能够起到使用手机小软件方便安排校园生活的目的,研发过程是对智能校园的一次很有意义的探索和尝试。     

Committee standards battles in the era of convergence: Implications for smart systems

By now, there have been many standards battles fought within the same industry or by multiple industries in the market-based standardization. In these battles, incompatible standards compete to win market dominance. While there is some research on standards battles found within a single committee, competitions in the committee-based standardization between standards from different committees or SDOs are underexplored. This paper categorizes the types of standards battles by the mode of standardization and the heterogeneity of actors. A new type referred to as ‘committee standards battles for converging systems’ is introduced and the dynamics of such battles is explored with two cases. The battle between the electric vehicle charging and the smart meter communication standard and the battle between two different vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication standards are analyzed. The failure in achieving compatibility between different committee standards on the same frequency bands results in communication interference that adversely affects the operation of smart systems. Social incompatibilities between actors and alliances from a mix of industries with vested interests towards a particular standard complicate the battling scene. The findings provide implications in terms of heterogeneity, actors, and government role in standards battles.
