北海老街的保护与开发现状及其问题探讨

北海老街保留了一批近代历史建筑,见证了近代北海工商业的发展,是近代北海中西文化交汇的窗口。随着北海成功申请为历史文化名城,北海老街也迎来了新一轮的发展。只有通过提高公众及相关工作人员的文化遗产保护意识、完善保护体系及管理制度、打造特色资源、建立文化日（周）、重视老街非物质文化遗产的保护和传承等,方可应对其发展过程中面临的问题。

海口是近代兴起的城市,开埠通商与移民海外使之与南洋、欧美联系紧密。从军事堡垒向近现代化城市演进中,外来文化与海口本土文化一直处于冲突、调和与交融状态,并最终形成中西兼具特点。骑楼是其最直观载体。它形成于十九世纪中叶,兴盛于二十世纪二三十年代,商住两用,是海口独特的地理景观。从人文地理学视角,探讨海口骑楼的兴起、演进、象征以及在当代的文化价值有十分重要意义。     

Discovering ethnic root behavior patterns: Towards an applied Canadian ethnic studies

This paper reports a method used with six groups of either students or community professionals, since 1977, to experiment with inductive ways of identifying “ethnic root” behavior patterns. Such patterns are hypothesized to develop beyond the immigrant generation as ethno-culturat patterns and are passed on in the context of socialization. An acculturative framework is proposed to denote benchmarks in the cultural accomodation of individuals and families, through several generations. Along with this framework, the evolution of an ethnic behavior pattern is graphically depicted.A method is developed to identify the pattern beyond the level of conscious remembrance; (it is assumed that adult immigrants will remember the patterns from the country of origin). Although the method is interesting as an avenue of investigation in its own right, it was developed primarily as a conceptual tool to assist community professionals to understand ethnic-related material in their daily work. Three uses of the framework are outlined. First, it draws attention, in the counselling situation, to the level of integration into Canadian society that the client displays. Second, by getting in touch with the personal ethnic pattern that they own, the practitioner him/herself begins to understand the nature of ethno-culture, and thereby appreciate the presence of it in others. Third, the method permits the practitioner to identify personal values of an ethno-cultural sort that can interfere with practice.

The effects of written attempts prior to correct visual presentation on spelling acquisition and retention

Students learned difficult spelling words via three different teaching methods. They either saw the correct spelling before attempting it, or could attempt to spell the word once, or several times, prior to viewing the correct spelling. Results showed that attempting to spell and test the words before viewing them facilitated acquisition of the words. The teaching methods did not differentially influence long-term retention. The locus of the effects of some teaching methods, when the words are thoroughly learned, is to be found during initial acquisition rather than evidenced in retention. Asking students to generate and test spellings prior to correct presentation facilitates encoding and acquisition of the correct spelling.     

A social learning explanation for age-related changes in children's conceptual behavior

A social learning explanation for children's conceptual development is proposed. Recent training research on conservation is discussed, and it is concluded that it fails to support three key assumptions underlying Piaget's theory (a) Children are able to learn to conserve without being “in transition,” (b) nonconservation experiences are successful in promoting developmentally immature cognitive functioning, and (c) there is evidence of inconsistencies in children's cognitive functioning across tasks assessing the same cognitive stage. Two aspects of children's conservation responding are explained according to a social learning position: decalages and the shift from perceptual cues to quantitative cues. This explanation involves consideration of cognitive factors such as prior rule learning as well as impinging social experience.     

Guidelines for the protection and treatment of the abused child

The purpose of this paper is to review ten actions that can be taken by multi- disciplinary child protection teams or individuals in this field to assure that the interests of the abused child are consistently addressed.

《一个陌生女人的来信》、《生死劫》、《红颜》三部当代女性电影以全新的女性视角和肆意的“阴性书写”观察社会,观照中国现代女性生存现实,表现出鲜明的女性意识和女性情感。在男权依旧膨胀的现代社会,女性电影的探索历程势必是艰辛、漫长和充满矛盾的。讲究方法策略,正视性别问题,重建个性尊严、自由平等的社会正义,这理应是中国当代女性和女性电影共同的理想彼岸。
