针对作者来稿中对参考文献著录规则执行不力的现状,认为在广泛宣传著录规则之外还应充分利用作者修改稿件的机会,引导他们重视参考文献的著录。

The Sacred Circle: A process pedagogy of healing

This paper proposes a process pedagogy based on an aboriginal approach to healing. It is founded on the Sacred Circle teachings of Canadian Plains Indians and on the educational practices undertaken at a school for aboriginal youth, the Joe Duquette High School in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Healing, is viewed here as transition toward meaning, wholeness, connectedness, and balance (Katz & St. Denis, 1991, p. 24). As aboriginal pedagogy, this approach to the practice and theory of teaching is selfconsciously founded on process symbolized in the Sacred Circle. It is presented here as part of a critical theory of education committed to human emancipation that recognizes that the appropriation of an aboriginal world view as a foundation for teaching is undertaken within the context of modern political and cultural systems and institutions that have excluded, denied, or rejected aboriginal world views. The Sacred Circle is a traditional symbolic circle that incorporates the spiritual beliefs of many Indian tribes of North America, including Dakota Nations, Blackfoot Confederacy, Cree, Saulteaux, and Assiniboine nations in Canada. It symbolizes harmony and the belief that life occurs within a series of circular movements that govern their relationship with the environment. Although the Sacred Circle has symbolized aboriginal world views for thousands of years, some schools are beginning only now to use it as a self-conscious foundation for education as healing.The paper begins with Whitehead's criticism of Western metaphysics and his notion of reality as process. These ideas and some of his views about education and teaching provide an introduction to and framework for developing the notion of healing as a process pedagogy based upon the Sacred Circle concept. The Sacred Circle is examined as the expression of an aboriginal metaphysics in which reality is conceptualized as process, the movement of life through wholeness, connectedness, and balance. Healing and teaching are viewed as the transition to meaning in that movement. Finally, process pedagogy as healing is interpreted as having the three phases of belonging, understanding, and critical reflection through an examination of practices at the Joe Duquette High School.     

Mining aboriginal labour: examining capital reconversion strategies occurring on the risk management field

This article examines a vocational education and training partnership occurring in the Canadian oil sands mining industry. The case study involves a corporate-sponsored pre-apprenticeship training programme designed to procure aboriginal labour in the province of Alberta. Interviews with members of key partner groups and stakeholders occurred during and after programme completion. Drawing from Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of the social field, capital reconversion strategies of partner groups are examined and critically evaluated in relation to the concept of ‘reputational risk management’ which I argue constitutes the underlying motive of the mine sponsor to procure racialised labour in order to maintain unfettered exploitation of resources whilst appeasing aboriginal resentment over land dispossession. Differential asset structures which partners bring to the partnership produce tensions that impact well-being and meaningful participation at the community level in the areas of education, training and employment.     

语料库驱动的英汉语篇人称系统研究

采用语料驱动的研究方法,对自建的英汉博物馆馆长致辞语料库的人称代词,特别是第二人称和第一人称复数的使用进行跨文化对比研究,旨在探讨由人称代词体现的不同文化的语篇中作者与读者互动关系的差异。研究结果显示,不论是指称作者还是指称读者,中文语料中人称代词的使用频率均明显低于英文语料。中文语篇倾向使用参与性低的非第二人称泛指指称读者,突出了信息的权威性和客观性,但缺乏与潜在观众的互动交流。基于研究结果本文提出改进中文博物馆馆长致辞语篇互动效果的建议。     

Fish and Oceanographers,Scholars and Librarians: Researching Nineteenth-Century Russian Women Writers

This article discusses librarianship and literary scholarship as operating under separate paradigms, or ways of looking at the world, and considers the relationship between them. Each of these paradigms, it is suggested, generates distinctive research tools that combined can expand our ability to help Slavic and other Humanities literary researchers.

Exponential stability analysis for a class of neutral singular Markovian jump systems with time-varying delays

This paper deals with the exponential stability problem for a class of neutral singular systems with Markovian jump parameters. The considered systems involve time-varying delays not only in their state but also in their derivatives of state. By using the Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional method, some sufficient conditions are derived, which ensure that the considered systems are regular, impulse-free and exponentially stable. Finally, some numerical examples are employed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained approaches.     

Discrete-time adaptive fuzzy speed regulation control for induction motors with input saturation via command filtering

A discrete-time adaptive fuzzy control method is introduced to achieve the speed regulation for induction motors (IMs) with input saturation via command filtering in this paper. First, the continuous model of IMs drive system is transformed into discrete-time form by using Euler formula. Then, the fuzzy logic systems are used to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions in the discrete-time drive system. In addition, the command filtering control method is introduced to overcome the “explosion of complexity” problem in the design process of traditional backstepping method. It is verified that all the closed-loop signals are bounded and the outputs can track the given reference signals well. Finally, simulation results illustrate the validity of the discrete-time control method.     

Fuzzy sliding mode control design of Markovian jump systems with time-varying delay

This paper studies the robust stochastic stabilization problem for a class of fuzzy Markovian jump systems with time-varying delay and external disturbances via sliding mode control scheme. Based on the equivalent-input-disturbance (EID) approach, an online disturbance estimator is implemented to reject the unknown disturbance effect on the considered system. Specifically, to obtain exact EID estimation Luenberger fuzzy state observer and a low-pass filter incorporated to the closed-loop system. Moreover, novel fuzzy EID-based sliding mode control law is constructed to ensure the stability of the closed-loop system with satisfactory disturbance rejection performance. By employing Lyapunov stability theory and some integral inequalities, a new set of delay-dependent robust stability conditions is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The resulting LMI is used to find the gains of the state-feedback controller and the state observer a for the resulting closed-loop system. At last, numerical simulations based on the single-link arm robot model are provided to illustrate the proposed design technique.
