Children’s recall and motivation for an environmental education video with supporting pedagogical materials

This study examined recall (Rcl) differences of high, average and low achieving fifth-grade elementary students (72) for an environmental education video with supporting pedagogical materials. In addition, it assessed the motivational level of all students. Recall assessment was carried out one-week and twenty-weeks after intervention. Main findings suggest comparative Rcl results for all achievers and high motivation for the designed video and pedagogical materials. Implications for future research and for an integrative materials’ design approach are presented.     

Relationship Between Teacher Factors and Student Achievement： A Correlational Study of Secondary Schools

Teachers always played a significant role in the intellectual and moral development of students by using various techniques, assessments, and methods to improve student achievement in school＇s subjects. This study therefore focuses on the effect of teacher factors, such as assessment interval, communication language, the distance of residence, and the teacher＇s personal characteristics （gender, age, academic and professional qualification, designation, experience, and in-service training） on the 9th grade students＇ achievement in three subjects （English, Chemistry, and Mathematics at secondary level）. The population of the study is comprised of all ＂public sector＂ secondary schools, male and female teachers, and boy and girl students. A total number of 16 secondary schools （eight for boys and eight for girls）, 114 secondary school teachers （66 males and 48 females）, and 2,404 students （1,400 boys and 1,004 girls） were selected through purposive sampling techniques. Multiple statistical procedures, Spearman and Pearson correlation, mean, and standard deviation were employed to obtain stronger validity to the study. The results of the study identify weak and negative weak relationship between most of the teacher factors and student achievement in three subjects but the relationship between students＇ background and learning achievement in all three subjects were found positively correlated.

非正式学习是大学教师学术创新的重要途径。它能够丰富大学教师的洞察想象能力、提高综合交叉能力、发展知识谱系能力、增强学术自主能力、促进合作分享能力、提升反思批判能力,对大学教师学术创新力的提高意义重大。为了促进大学教师更好地开展非正式学习,实现其学术创新,社会、政府和学校应该从转变学习观念、优化学习环境和提高学习能力三方面共同努力。     

学术期刊编辑的尴尬地位及其缓解

从学术期刊发展的角度看,要求编辑具备非常高的学术水平才能承担其选择学术稿件的重任,但主客观条件的限制使学术期刊的编辑很难满足这种基本要求,这就造成了学术期刊编辑的尴尬地位。从理论和逻辑上讲,学术期刊编辑的尴尬地位不可能彻底消除,但可以采取一定的方式缓解。在现实中,唯名论、提高编辑的学术水平和将编辑的部分职能外包都是缓解编辑尴尬地位的选择,其中提高编辑的学术水平是最有效的方式。     

“克里米亚入俄”的合法性——基于民族自决权的视角

民族自决权同人权一样,已成为国际法中公认的原则,它于第二次世界大战后,在殖民地人民争取民族独立、国家统一的过程中发挥着显著作用。在"克里米亚入俄"事件中克里米亚地方机构在缺乏国际法规定的可以适用民族自决权的条件下,未经主权国乌克兰的同意,举行住民公投,利用民族自决权挑战主权原则,有损害已经实现民族平等权和自决权的国家领土完整和政治统一之嫌。     

高校学术问责制构建中的相关问题探讨

伴随着我国高等教育规模的扩张,高校从事教学科研工作的学术人员数量大增。作为我国科学研究的一支重要生力军,高校学术人员一方面有力推动了我国整体科技发展的水平和质量,另一方面,在学术领域也滋生了学术失范现象。由此,构建高校学术问责制的理论探讨应运而生,但要进入实践领域,应当充分考虑以下三个相关问题：高校学术失范现象大量滋生的归因问题、学术自由欠缺下高校学术问责制实施的风险问题、学术问责中的责任认定问题。     

强化实践教学环节 提高学员技术应用能力

针对目前"合训分流"培养模式的特点,结合部队反馈的学员任职情况,探索合训学员在"学历教育合训"阶段的教学方法。从合训人才培养目标入手,深入分析教学标准,以信息化战争对军事指挥人才能力素质要求为依托,围绕如何提高合训类学员相应技术应用能力展开思考,就加强"学历教育合训"电子、信息和通信专业基础课程的实践教学环节提出了改革意见。     

我国大学教学学术专题研究述评

国内研究者主要从教学学术与教学质量、教师专业发展、教学学术运动、教学学术机制的互动关系,以及不同类型大学教学学术发展现状等五个专题领域,对大学教学学术展开研究,其研究成果对我国大学针对教学发展、教师发展、学生发展的新趋向,开展教学管理实践改革带来了有益启示。
