发挥青年编辑优势 提高高校学报审稿效率

由于高校学报来稿研究领域广泛、涵盖学科众多、稿源范围综合等特点,所需审稿专家范围广且重复度较低,“审稿难”问题日益凸显。作为高校学报骨干力量的青年编辑,通常需要专业基础扎实、思维活跃、应变能力强。本文结合自身工作,从青年编辑特点和优势出发,有针对性地提出了一些措施,从熟悉专业、抓住机会、修炼自身等几个方面,阐述如何发挥青年编辑优秀,提高高校学报审稿效率。     

Overhyped Fad or Missed Opportunity? A History of Academic Libraries and the Social Web

The emergence of social media has radically transformed the way we create and consume information. These changes have in turn given rise to new models of librarianship centered on principles of participation, interaction, and collaboration. Over the last decade, academic libraries have eagerly adopted social media as a means of enhancing services and connecting with a new generation of users. But how exactly has this technology changed libraries? In what ways has the social web transformed library services or our relationships with users? This article attempts to assess the impact of social media on academic libraries in the United States through a review of the literature published since 2005. In particular, it looks at how academic libraries have used social media to improve or develop new services. By comparing published case studies with the theoretical literature, this article seeks to separate theory from practice and determine the extent to which the social web has transformed library practice. The author concludes that, despite several noteworthy examples, the majority of social library applications ultimately fail to live up to the transformative potential promised within the literature and that this failure may have more to do with philosophical rather than technical limitations.

在这个充满诸多干扰的时代,高校学风普遍存在着一些问题,特别是高职院校。本文在探讨了高职院校学风的主要问题及分析引发其成因的基础上,从辅导员的角度来谈如何改善高职院校学风的几点思考。     

外来术语的引进与学术本土化——以softpower的汉语翻译之争为例

外来术语的引进不仅仅是一个简单的翻译问题。softpower这一术语进入中国之后被翻译为“软实力”、“软权力”和“软力量”，甚至引起了学者间的持久争论。从术语学的角度看，对softpower的翻译违反了术语的单义性和单名性原则，没有充分考虑来源语中该术语的概念体系和目标语中该术语的概念体系，以及这两个概念体系之间的对应。从翻译学的角度看，解构主义给翻译的异化原则提供了理论支持，使译者对来源语术语的忠诚度减弱，自我创作成分增加。从意识形态的视角看，学术本土化为通过术语翻译的方式进行所谓的创新提供了道义支持。     

赋权少数族裔学生：一个干预框架

吉姆康明斯提出了一个理论框架来分析少数族裔学生学业失败的原因，以及之前曾尝试过的，诸如补偿教育和双语教育这样的教育改革相对缺乏成功的原因。这些尝试之所以没有成功是因为教育者和少数族裔学生之间的关系以及学校和少数族裔社区的关系都没有得到显著的改变。研究旨在为教育者提供一些改变这些关系，从而赋权学生，使得学生在学业上取得成功的方法。     

公共英语新版教材编写体验与认知

为了更好地配合和适应我国公共英语等级考试和教学的发展需要，新版公共英语教材经过重新编写即将面世。该系列教材在第一版的基础上无论从指导思想、内容、以及编排体例上都做出许多新的变化，内容选材上更加注重时代感、启发性、实用性和文化性，编排上追求系统性，科学性，开放性，以及可操作性。全书融入许多新的教学理念，必将更好地应用与服务于我国公共英语教学的实践。     

Mixed Reality Lab at Mississippi State University Libraries

Virtual and Augmented Realities are advancing technologies that are becoming more popular in gaming and programming communities. However, virtual reality has been in development for decades. As libraries are often at the forefront of offering new and advancing technologies to their communities, virtual and augmented reality programs have become new additions to library services. While gaming is the prominent use of these technologies, virtual and augmented reality affords many educational opportunities. Mississippi State University Libraries have recently added a virtual/augmented reality lab as part of its library program.

论文通过分析石定1980年-1990年之间的文学创作,认为石定的小说描摹出了上世纪末黔北农村变化的历程,刻画出黔北农民心灵变迁的轨迹。石定的作品雅致纯净、天然灵动,是一幅幅打下时代印迹的水墨丹青。     

A historical analysis of academic development using the theoretical lens of Pierre Bourdieu

This paper provides a history of academic development by examining how a South African institution coped with the potent social forces confronting it before the collapse of apartheid. Theoretically, it draws on the framework of Pierre Bourdieu and engages with a paper written a decade ago by Naidoo, who also used Bourdieu to understand institutional change in South Africa in the late 1980s. Through contrasting the habitus of two professors, it is argued that academic development helps to preserve the autonomy of the university field by refracting forces impinging on it from the economic and political realms.
