英汉动物词语的文化内涵浅析

语言是文化的载体，而语汇是语言中最活跃的成分。通过英汉两种语言中动物词的文化涵义对比分析，即文化内涵重合，文化内涵碰撞，文化内涵空缺，并揭示形成这三种语言现象的社会文化心理。通过两种语言中的动物词文化内涵对比分析，我们力图归纳出共性与个性及它们对跨文化交际的影响。     

Learning and organizations: towards cross-metaphor conversations

Discussions on learning in organizations are characterized by the diversity of perspectives involved and the variety of their disciplinary roots. This is an effort to identify the roots of some metaphors employed in this literature. It is argued that cross-metaphor conversations can contribute to the richness of discussions in the field. Some specific instances where more than one metaphor is employed are identified. The promises of certain “disruptive devices” to facilitate such desirable cross-metaphor interactions are briefly explored.     

The implementation of clay modeling and rat dissection into the human anatomy and physiology curriculum of a large urban community college

After a considerable amount of research and experimentation, cat dissection was replaced with rat dissection and clay modeling in the human anatomy and physiology laboratory curricula at La Guardia Community College (LAGCC), a large urban community college of the City University of New York (CUNY). This article describes the challenges faculty overcame and the techniques used to solve them. Methods involved were: developing a laboratory manual in conjunction with the publisher, holding training sessions for faculty and staff, the development of instructional outlines for students and lesson plans for faculty, the installation of storage facilities to hold mannequins instead of cat specimens, and designing mannequin clean‐up techniques that could be used by more than one thousand students each semester. The effectiveness of these curricular changes was assessed by examining student muscle practical examination grades and the responses of faculty and students to questionnaires. The results demonstrated that the majority of faculty felt prepared to teach using clay modeling and believed the activity was effective in presenting lesson content. Students undertaking clay modeling had significantly higher muscle practical examination grades than students undertaking cat dissection, and the majority of students believed that clay modeling was an effective technique to learn human skeletal, respiratory, and cardiovascular anatomy, which included the names and locations of blood vessels. Furthermore, the majority of students felt that rat dissection helped them learn nervous, digestive, urinary, and reproductive system anatomy. 图形-背景理论视角下“前”表时间的空间隐喻研究

用汉语方位词"前"表示时间,实际上是一种空间隐喻,它既可以表征过去的时间,又可以表征未来的时间。拟以图形-背景理论为依据,从自我中心表征、地标表征和去自我中心表征层面来研究汉语方位词"前"表时间的空间隐喻。研究表明当观察者从自我中心表征的层面来看,"前"表征过去的时间;当观察者从地标表征的层面来看,"前"表征未来的时间;当观察者从去自我中心表征的角度来看,"前"既可以表征过去,又可以表征未来。     

基于应用型创新人才培养构建动物生物学网络课程

从网络课程的网站建设、教学组织和教学评价方面论述了《动物生物学》网络课程的构建方案,以期解决《动物生物学》课程内容多,信息量大,课时少的矛盾,促进学生自主学习以利于应用型创新人才培养,为网络课程教学改革的深入发展提供借鉴。

“动物标本制作”实验课是河南师范大学生命科学学院近年教学改革中新开设的一门实验选修课。该课程在明确实验选修课开设基本思路的基础上,采用多种教学方式,逐步分解教学过程,提出了教学改革方案,为今后进一步提高教学质量提供参考。     

认知视角下《论语》中的隐喻研究及其英译赏析——以安乐哲、刘殿爵及辜鸿铭译本为例

在分析《论语》中隐喻运作机制的基础上,赏析评价了出现频率较高的"人"结构隐喻、"天"本体隐喻、"上—下"方位隐喻在安乐哲、刘殿爵、辜鸿铭三个英译本中的传递.最后得出结论:《论语》语言深刻、富有内涵,正确理解原文是《论语》隐喻翻译成功的关键;成功的隐喻翻译不是将喻体简单地对应到译入语,而是要保证译文喻体的映射意象与原文喻体的映射意象一致,而且为大多数译入语读者所理解和接受.     

动物遗传学实验教学改革的实践与探索
