A review of ‘psychology and the study of education: critical perspectives on developing theories’

This review examines Psychology and the Study of Education: Critical Perspectives on Developing Theories, a collection of academic articles edited by Cathal Ó Siochrú. The collection comprehensively considers wide-ranging topics pertinent to the psychology of education, with a target audience of educators and students wishing to learn more about psychology. The review evaluates the collection as an integrated work of entries and analyses each component chapter; recognising the success of the collection with respect to its aim of challenging readers to critically reflect upon and consider the value of psychology in both understanding and influencing education. 校阅在CAT与FIT中对受测者行为表现与状态焦虑水平的影响

校阅(review)对CAT中受测者心理影响的研究有利于CAT的推广应用。J.Oleat等研究者在CAT(computerizedadaptivetest,计算机自适应性测验)与FIT(fixed-itemtest,固定项目测验)中,将校阅(review)对受测者行为表现与状态焦虑水平的影响作了比较研究。实验结果表明,在允许校阅的环境中,受测者正确反应与被估计的能力水平显著增加,并且状态焦虑水平下降。本文对J.Oleat等研究者的主要研究成果进行了详细的评述,并进一步探讨了在CAT中增设校阅(review)环境的重要性和可能性。     

近年来我国教育产业问题研究述评

近年来各界学围绕教育的产业属性，教育能否产业化，发展教育产业的意义与作用等问题，进行了较广泛的讨论，观点见仁见智，莫衷一是。     

An empirical review of anonymity effects in peer assessment,peer feedback,peer review,peer evaluation and peer grading

Abstract

Peer assessment has proven to have positive learning outcomes. Importantly, peer assessment is a social process and some claim that the use of anonymity might have advantages. However, the findings have not always been in the same direction. Our aims were: (a) to review the effects of using anonymity in peer assessment on performance, peer feedback content, peer grading accuracy, social effects and students’ perspective on peer assessment; and (b) to investigate the effects of four moderating variables (educational level, peer grading, assessment aids, direction of anonymity) in relation to anonymity. A literature search was conducted including five different terms related to peer assessment (e.g., peer feedback) and anonymity. Fourteen studies that used a control group or a within group design were found. The narrative review revealed that anonymous peer assessment seems to provide advantages for students’ perceptions about the learning value of peer assessment, delivering more critical peer feedback, increased self-perceived social effects, a slight tendency for more performance, especially in higher education and with less peer assessment aids. Some conclusions are that: (a) when implementing anonymity in peer assessment the instructional context and goals need to be considered, (b) existent empirical research is still limited, and (c) future research should employ stronger and more complex research designs.     

Anti-racist moral education: A review of approaches,impact and theoretical underpinnings from 2000 to 2015

Racism is a moral issue and of concern for moral educators, with recent social movements such as #BlackLivesMatter highlighting how far we are from obliterating racial oppression and the unearned privilege whiteness confers. To contribute to a more formalised approach to anti-racist moral education, this article systematically reviews 15 years of peer-reviewed scholarship concerned with anti-racist education, to establish the definitions and aims of anti-racist education drawn on, the theoretical frameworks underpinning these, the methods used in education efforts, and their intended impact. It also considers the geo-political aspects of knowledge production in the field, such as author country location and implementation context of empirical studies. It concludes with implications for moral education in classroom and community contexts and advocates for anti-racist moral education that comprise three interconnected components—making visible systemic oppression (visibilising), recognising personal complicity in oppression through unearned privilege (recognising) and developing strategies to transform structural inequalities (strategising).     

Health literacy and consumer health information

The rigours of the past few years have demonstrated the importance of good health literacy levels with the imperative of being able to obtain and interpret information to maintain and improve one's health never more apparent. With this in mind, this issue is focused on consumer health information, the gender and population group differences that exist in information seeking behaviour, the challenges of understanding medical explanations and terminology, and existing criteria to assess and ultimately produce better consumer health information.     

我国普通高等学校强化班研究述评

我国对高校强化班的研究始于20世纪80年代,重点集中在探索创新人才培养的新模式上。最近十年来,该论题研究有了深入的发展,这些研究主要集中在三个方面：对北京大学强化班的研究;对国内其他高校强化班的个案研究;对各类强化班的特征概述。但这些研究仍存在些问题：强化班培养理念与管理机制关系问题研究较少,侧重应试教育而忽视实践教育,严重忽视心理学在强化班课程体系中的重要地位。     

高职教育服务城乡经济研究综述

在文献调研基础上,将近年来高职服务城乡经济的相关研究划分成三个阶段,即以高职教育经济服务功能确立、适应城乡经济发展为焦点的早期研究,以高职教育主动服务城乡经济及实现路径为焦点的中期研究,以及以高职教育与城乡经济统筹发展关系及实现路径为焦点的近期研究。并评述了各阶段研究的不足,对未来研究重点进行了展望。     

傅兰雅研究综述

作为传教士的傅兰雅,有着与其他传教士与众不同的在华经历,在对近代中国的西学传播和科学普及方面影响深远,近年来,这一领域越来越引起学术界的重视。     

《annals of tourism research》2005～2009年文献回顾

随着旅游业的发展,旅游业相关研究受到越来越多学着的重视,相关的研究文章日渐繁多,研究角度和侧重点也日新月异。《Annals of tourism research》作为国外旅游研究的重要刊物,其刊登的文章在一定程度上反映了目前国际旅游相关研究的主要关注点。总结该刊物2005～2009年的239篇文章,其主要研究的国家为美国、英国、西班牙等11个,研究主体主要为旅游目的地、旅游者、旅游吸引物等11个。
