Becoming Fathers: Initial Exploration of a Support Program for New Fathers

Emerging fathers experience a variety of stressors, including identity and role transitions, changes in their relationships, and challenges in developing caregiving skills. Increasing expectations for father involvement in childcare are emphasizing the importance of the father role, but social supports for new fathers remain scarce. Nineteen expectant and new fathers participated in a pilot 5-week group intervention aimed at improving stress coping and involvement attitudes using a combination of mindfulness practices and skill-building for parenting and partner communication. We administered surveys pre- and postintervention to assess efficacy in the areas of stress, depressive symptoms, father involvement attitudes, and mindfulness. Within-participant differences were compared across participants as well as examining individual reliable change. Results indicated initial reductions in stress and depressive symptoms and increases in the mindfulness constructs of nonjudgment and nonreactivity. No significant changes were found in father involvement attitudes. Perinatal intervention specific to fathers holds promise as an underexplored avenue for supporting families across the transition to parenthood.     

Are we using Friedman's roadmap? A comparative analysis of stimuli of private school enrolments in post-Soviet countries

There have been extensive scholarly debates on the role the private sector in the provision of schooling across the world. The former Soviet states have been largely excluded from these debates. This exploratory study examines the role the private sector in the formal provision of primary and secondary education in post-Soviet countries to demonstrate comparative trends and to provide a framework for the analysis of stimuli for private enrolments in the region. On the basis of the analysis of secondary data, documentary evidence and relevant literature, this paper shows that across the former Soviet countries, neoliberal ideas of education marketisation have not found fertile soil for development.     

改革开放40年高等体育教育资源优化配置的社会学审视

摘要：我国高等体育教育资源优化配置研究引入社会学视角理论与方法，理论与实践均取得专家的认同。运用文献资料法、专家访谈法和实地考察法等方法发现，在计划经济体制下我国高等体育教育资源配置主体单一性、手段行政化和政治倾向性强，凸显出高等体育教育资源配置缺乏激励机制和市场竞争机制的问题，造成高等体育教育资源配置成本最大化和社会效应的最小化问题较多。自改革开放以来,随着我国市场经济体制的建立为高等体育教育资源优化配置提供了难得的发展机遇，我国高等体育教育资源配置取得了明显成效，但仍然存在高等体育教育资源配置机制滞后、体制机制改革创新步伐缓慢、高等体育教育资源配置不合理以及民办普通高校体育教育资源配置严重不足等问题。据此，从社会学研究的视角，提出了构建多主体推动高等体育教育资源优化配置创新的发展模式、多元化高等体育教育资源优化配置资金投入的保障体系、高等体育教育资源优化配置均衡发展的运行机制和大学城体育教育资源“共建共享”的创新发展模式的新时代我国高等体育教育资源优化配置的发展策略，旨在服务新时代全民健身与全民健康深度融合发展，“推动构建人类命运共同体”发展目标的实现。     

面向新生的“微视频+代入式体验”信息素养教育研究

[目的/意义]基于建构主义学习理论，借鉴翻转课堂先进理念，以提高个人信息素养能力的初学者为主要教育研究对象，调研分析其个性特征、信息行为和教育方式偏好。[方法/过程]通过调研分析，总结教育方式与学生需求之间的矛盾成因，提出面向新生的"微视频+代入式体验"信息素养教育创新模式，着重分析模式特点、构建策略和实施方案，并提出可行性组织策略。[结果/结论]"微视频+代入式体验"信息素养教育新模式，综合运用微视频所特有的视觉冲击力，克服教师语言抽象化的不足，同时通过代入式情境体验，完成知识吸收内化、高层次思维认知，有效提升学生的信息素养综合能力。     

Virtual Microscopy as a Learning Tool in Brazilian Medical Education

Virtual microscopy (VM) is a widely used teaching method in Medical Education in many developed countries. In Brazil, however, this is not the case for most medical schools, considering Brazilian social inequality and uneven access to technology. Recently, the Covid-19 pandemic has also challenged Universities to seek and make a transition toward more effective methods of full-time online education. Thus, the main goal of this work was to verify student's perception and academic performance, assessed upon VM implementation in a Brazilian Medical School. Ribeirao Preto Medical School students answered a 26-question survey with regards to optical microscopy (OM) and VM. Academic performance was compared between participants that were (year of 2019) or were not (year of 2015) exposed to VM. Taken the results together, subjective impressions such as handling, suitability, learning effectiveness, and pleasure using the tools, have shown a higher score for virtual microscopy (median = 29), when compared to optical microscopy (median = 24) with a P-value < 0.001 by Wilcoxon rank test, upon measurement using an ordinal scale. Regarding academic performance, no statistically significant differences were found between groups (P-value = 0.38, Cohen's d = 0.19). Therefore, VM proved to be adequate to the Brazilian medical education in light of Brazilian social contexts and Covid-19 pandemic.     

依法治国背景下的地方法治建设

在阐述依法治国、地方法治建设及其相互关系的基础上，审视地方法治社会建设发展的历史与现状，分析中国目前地方法治社会建设的主要障碍及成因，并提出全面推进依法治国背景下加强地方法治社会建设的对策。     

教师教育U-S合作的结构性障碍与路径选择

大学与中小学(U-S)合作是当前教师教育的一条有效出路。但目前我国教师教育U-S合作过程存在严重的结构性障碍,主要表现为合作中的异质性资源依赖感不强,合作主体的合法性认同严重不足,合作协调机制缺位。因此,我们需要充分挖掘U-S合作中的异质性资源,增强双方异质性资源依赖程度;赋予中小学教师教育义务并提升合作双方的利益共识,增强合作主体的合法性认同;构建政府统筹的U-S合作管理体制,规范合作行为。     

论廉颇的自我批评精神

自我批评是一种自觉反省过错的积极态度,《史记》中廉颇的自我批评精神体现在他愧对蔺相如而负荆请罪的行为上,其精神主要表现为四方面:一是自我批评要出于公心;二是自我批评需要宽大的心胸;三是自我批评要公开进行;四是自我批评需要有良好的社会环境。廉颇的自我批评精神不仅令将相和传为千古佳话,也对现代有着教育意义,成为中华民族的一种精神财富。     

课外活动对大学生动手和社交能力的影响探究

当代大学生的动手能力和社会交际能力普遍需要提高。本文采用问卷调查的形式,对本地大学生课外活动开展情况进行了调查,探索了现阶段的课外活动开展对大学生造成了什么样的影响及如何更好的开展课外活动,并对如何提升大学生动手能力和社会交际能力提出了有用的建议和措施。
