中国文化的根本精神

中国历史,首先必须恢复五千年到七千年的真实。中国文化的源头,应是发端于伏羲,积蓄于炎黄,大披于唐虞。大中刚正的大道哲学是中华民族的根本精神。中国文化不是一个私己的文化,而是追求天地人世的生生不息精神,追求不为物蔽、不为形移的超越精神,是建立在仁德的基础上的。     

更新教育观念 积极推进高师化学教学改革

新一轮国家基础课程改革已在各级各类学校积极展开,高师化学课程教学如何紧紧跟上时代步伐,更新教育教学观念,充分发挥化学实践性学科的特点,积极推进化学教学改革,以实现通过素质教育培养创新人才的历史性跨越,是我们必须努力探索和实践的课题。

高等医学院校大型教学实验中心的管理实践

医学实验教学长期以来是依附于学科的单一模式，实验室是三级管理体制，已不适应现代医学模式转变对医学教育的要求。介绍该校于1997年成立东校区大型科学实验中心，通过改革体制、科学管理、深化改革、突出效益、服务育人等措施，经过3年的管理与实践取得了明显成效。     

高等师范院校计算机基础教育的现状与对策

从高校计算机基础教育的目的出发,结合笔者的教学实践,对高等师范院校计算机基础教育的现状进行了分析,在教学方法、教学内容、教学模式等方面提出了几点改革建议.     

Mastery,insight, and the teaching of chemistry

The learning of chemistry is described as a process analogous to the process of making chemical discoveries. Historical examples are given to show how chemists have used their insight to break out of a conceptual loop in order to advance the science. Having the insight to make the intuitive leap necessary to break a conceptual loop is as important as having the mastery of the pertinent facts. As in making chemical discoveries, learning elementary chemistry requires developing insight as well as acquiring mastery of the facts. However, current general chemistry teaching tends to teach facts first and insight later. Suggestions for improving this situation so that insight and facts are learned together are given. Finally, the nature of insight is probed more deeply and presented as a two-step process where the first step is an evaluation of the perceptions about science which are held. Once the student, teacher, or researcher has a clear evaluation of the validity of the perceptions that he or she holds, further significant progress toward understanding or scientific discovery is possible.     

注重共性中的个性教学

自然科学所遵循的基本规律是事物内在本质决定的。但任何规律也必须是辩证的。不能将其公式化。在化学教学中，要求学生掌握普遍规律的同时，注重普遍性中的特殊性同样重要。以初中化学中违背基本规律的几个典型问题为例，强调在突出共性教学的同时注重个性教学。     

化学教学中的环境教育

公众的环境保护意识的水平高低,直接关系到我国环境保护事业的成败,而提高公众环境意识、培养公民的环境道德,最主要的途径就是开展环境教育;阐释了环境教育的必要性,并就化学教学自身,分析如何结合教材内容进行环境教育、结合化学实验进行环境教育、在课外活动中进行环境教育,以培养学生的环保意识。     

Double Jeopardy: Testing the Effects of Multiple Basic Skill Deficiencies on Successful Remediation

Prior research has established that the depth and breadth of remedial need in basic skills (math and English) exhibited by a student at college entry are strongly and negatively associated with the likelihood of achieving college-level competency in those subjects (i.e., successful remediation). This well-documented finding is built upon a body of work employing either simple bivariate analyses or regression analyses that assume additive effects. Yet, there are reasons to suspect that multiple basic skill deficiencies, rather than exhibiting additive effects alone, may exhibit a negative multiplicative interaction effect on the likelihood of successful remediation. In this research, I test the hypothesis that the negative effect of math deficiency increases in magnitude with decreasing English competency. Although the data support this hypothesis, I find that this interaction does not have substantive importance in the face of the powerful direct effect of math deficiency on the likelihood of successful remediation in math. 试论课程三维目标

课程目标是当前基础教育课程改革中涉及的基本问题。课程三维目标的提出是现代社会发展的需要，也是人自身发展的需要。三维目标与双基目标既有区别，又有一定联系。课堂教学改革应围绕三维目标的落实而展开。
