From Ivory Tower to Cross-Media Personas

This article introduces a theoretical typology of four rival yet converging ideal types of cultural critics in contemporary media culture and in cultural journalism, more specifically, encapsulated by the term the heterogeneous cultural critic and characterized by different kinds of authority and expertise: (1) the intellectual cultural critic, who is closely connected to an aesthetic tradition, bohemia and/or academia, or institutionalized cultural capital; (2) the professional cultural journalist, who is first and foremost embedded in a media professional logic; (3) the media-made arbiter of taste, whose authority is closely linked to practical experience with cultural production and repeated charismatic media performances; and (4) the everyday amateur expert, who offers subjective opinions and represents experience-based cultural taste. The aim is to provide an analytical minimum model for future empirical studies by outlining the contours of the multiple, objective and subjective, professional and non-professional cultural “authorities” of contemporary media culture.     

Teaching Transgressive Representations of LGBTQ People in Educator Preparation: Is Conformity Required for Inclusion?

Abstract

One strategy used to teach about diverse populations is to edit their -curricular representations to minimize their transgressive nature in an effort to gain more acceptance among students. This article explores the implications of these -assimilationist narratives when used in educator preparation programs to -represent LGBTQ people. It examines the potential advantages of teaching more diverse and transgressive representations in the interest of inclusion and educator -preparation.

本文根据我国学习型社会构建战略推进的现况,对我国企业员工继续教育学习成果认证面临的机遇与挑战进行一个系统的探究与透析,重点对我国学习型企业、创新型企业、国际型企业建设给企业员工继续教育学习成果认证带来的前所未有的机遇,以及社会转型时期种种矛盾所带来的严峻挑战进行深层梳理与理性评价,并对要把握的重要关系提出了建设性阐述。     

工程教育认证框架下中外合作专业人才培养的探索

以学生为中心、以学习成果为导向、持续改进是我国工程教育认证的三大核心理念。工程教育认证标准为我们制定理念先进的、与国际接轨的专业人才培养方案提供了非常宝贵的依据,它也是指导中外合作专业建设的必要基础。本文从中外合作专业的人才培养目标、学生毕业要求、课程体系、持续改进以及合作教育模式等方面进行了探讨和实践总结。提出在工程教育认证框架下,以工程教育认证标准为指引,以引进国际合作院校的先进教学资源为方式,以多元文化交流和融合为抓手,从而培养出具有良好的学习能力、创新意识、外语交流能力和国际视野的宽口径、复合型、高素质工程技术人才。     

专业认证对药学专业人才培养建设的启示——以新疆医科大学药学院为例

专业认证是教育部“五位一体”评估制度的重要组成部分,是保障人才培养质量的重要举措,对深化教育教学改革和提高人才培养质量具有重要作用。新疆医科大学于2018年10月进行药学专业认证,根据教育部专家组的建议和意见,药学院从课程体系、教学质量、实践教学、教师队伍等多方面进行了改革和探索。本文对这些方面的改革进行了阐述,以期为药学专业人才培养建设方面提供参考。

提高教育质量是高职教育实现可持续发展的关键,质量保证体系作为质量建设的基础平台,是提高高职院校教育质量的关键所在,学校有各自的基本情况和办学特色,但构建的校内教育质量保证体系应遵循构建的原则,具备相对完整的功能和组织框架,能全面的、客观的评价学校教学的教学水平,具有系统性。     

灵魂深处的曝光:权力崇拜情结——以沈从文小说《龙朱》、《神巫之爱》、《豹子·媚金·与那羊》为例

通过文本细读,可以看出沈从文的湘西系列小说中以狮、虎、豹等兽类来比附人物的叙写,除了作者有意识地用雄强和柔顺的兽类隐喻和象征湘西人的精神,深层无意识冲动即民族记忆对作家创作的强势入侵也是狮、虎、豹等兽类涌现在作者笔端的重要原因,兽类的象征指向昭示了沈从文心灵深处的权力崇拜情结。     

The nature of teacher authority and teacher expertise

The so‐called ‘soft skills’ utilised by teachers – including relationship building, awareness of the pupil's context and background and the demonstration of authority – to develop an appropriate learning culture in their classrooms have long been recognised as being a major contribution to effective promotion of positive behaviour. This article considers some of the dimensions of these, focusing on how these help in contributing towards ‘teacher authority’. The article draws on the parallel experiences of teachers and researchers in England, Russia and the United States to illustrate some of the international dimensions of this theme.
