Teacher and school characteristics and their influence on curriculum implementation

Reform‐based curriculum materials have been suggested as a mechanism to make inquiry‐based instruction more prevalent in secondary science classrooms, specifically when accompanied by comprehensive professional development (Loucks‐Horsley, Hewson, Love, & Stiles, 1998 ; Powell & Anderson, 2002 ). This research examines the implementation of a reform‐based high school chemistry curriculum in a large, urban school district. We explicitly consider the role of the teachers' knowledge and beliefs in their implementation of the reform‐based chemistry curriculum, as well as school level factors. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected in the form of beliefs interviews and classroom observations from 27 high school chemistry teachers. Analysis of the data revealed that implementation of the curriculum was strongly influenced by the teachers' beliefs about teaching and learning, and the presence of a supportive network at their school sites. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 福州市部分高校硕士研究生体育行为之探微

本文通过对福州市4所高校130多名在读硕士研究生的体育行为进行调查，分析得出大部分高校研究生有积极的体育行为，主要以强身健体，放松自我为目的，影响高校研完生体育行为的因素主要有时间、场地、器材以及体育意识等，针对以上原因，文章进一步提出促进研究生参加体育活动的方法。

心理学研究生入学统考四年试卷内容与能力结构分析

我国的心理学专业研究生入学考试实行全国统考已经四年了。四年试卷质量如何,值得关注。通过分析四年试卷所测内容的稳定性及其与大纲的一致性、所测能力结构的稳定性与合理性,可对四年试卷的内容效度做出评价。分析表明:考题的内容结构基本符合大纲的要求,且相对稳定;所考查的能力结构有明显的学科差异,年度间也不稳定,尚有需要改进之处。     

To be or not to be ‘a disabled student’ in higher education: the case of a postgraduate ‘non‐declaring’ (disabled) student

This paper draws on data from a research project that was funded by the UK's Higher Education Academy. The project focused on the experiences of disabled students in one English higher education institution, and a key feature of the project was to attempt to access the perspectives of ‘non‐declaring’ disabled students. This paper draws on the experiences of one of the ‘non‐declaring’ respondents, Anna, a postgraduate student. In the UK, some students declare their disabled status on entry to a higher education institution, some do so once at the institution and some never let the institution know of their impairment. It is the perspectives of this latter group that are particularly difficult to access. Anna's experiences as a postgraduate student provide some insight into what may affect decisions about declaration of impairment. Drawing on a social‐relational understanding of disability, factors that influenced her decision not to ‘declare’ and the consequent effect on her experience of higher education are explored.     

父母受教育程度对研究生自我定位的影响——以厦门大学博士生为例

研究生自我定位受到多种因素的影响,其中父母受教育程度与研究生自我定位有重要的联系。研究生在自我定位过程中受到父母期望的影响,不同学历家庭出身的研究生在升学意愿上存在显著差异,研究生自我定位过程中的困惑程度也因父母的受教育程度有所差别。
