中西礼貌语用差异成因探析

从中西方礼貌原则的对比可以得出,中方偏重于贬己尊人,西方偏重于得体真实。这种差异主要源于不同民族文化的思维方式和民族性格。汉民族有机整体的思维定势和群体取向影响了其谦和谨慎、含蓄内向、仁慈宽厚的民族性格;而注重个体思维定势和个人主义取向的西方民族由此形成冒险竞争、独立自信、坦率真诚的民族性格。     

从人的本质学说探源“为人民服务”的精神内涵

在社会主义市场经济条件下，道德建设以“为人民服务”为核心，使之成为全体社会成员共同遵守的社会伦理原则，这就使“自我牺牲”始终同历史进步的方向联系起来，成为一种对社会发展利益的自觉追求，其内涵也由强调“毫不利己，专门利人”转向“我为人人，人人为我”。归根结底，这是由人的本质——人的社会属性所决定的。     

对贫困地区基础教育发展中矛盾的考察

目前困扰贫困地区基础教育发展的矛盾主要有：有效供给与需求的矛盾、教育资源“备”与“用”的矛盾、办学主体责任与能力的矛盾、地方教育投入与收益的矛盾、社会教育观念与基础教育功能的矛盾、“教”与“学”的矛盾、“学”与“用”的矛盾、人们受教育的愿望与现实可能的矛盾。这些矛盾能够而且只能通过基础教育的体制转换和协调发展来解决。     

Effects of a life skills-based sexuality education programme on the life-skills,sexuality knowledge,self-management skills for sexual health,and programme satisfaction of adolescents

This study aimed to develop and establish the efficacy of a life skills-based sexuality education programme for junior high school students that focused on prevention. A non-equivalent control-group pretest-posttest design was employed with 105 students in the first-year of junior high school participating. The experimental group received 10 sessions of a life skills-based sexuality education programme, and the control group received 10 sessions of the standard sexuality education, both provided during a home economics class. A comparison of the two groups’ post-test scores showed that the experimental group scored significantly higher than the control group on sexual and reproductive health related knowledge (F = 58.50, p < .001) and life-skills (F = 11.52, p = .007). In addition, the experimental group showed a larger improvement in self-management skills for sexual health than did the control group (F = 9.32, p = .003). A life skills-based sexuality education programme increased life skills levels, knowledge about sexuality and sexual and reproductive health, and helped participants identify appropriate behaviours when facing a sexually risky situation. Results highlight the value of including an evidence-based and practice-oriented life skills-based sexuality education programme in the formal curriculum of junior high schools in Korea.

Impairments in learning due to motivational conflict: situation really matters

Although many theories mention distractions by conflicting alternatives as a problem for self-regulation, motivational conflicts are rarely considered when explaining impairments in learning. In two studies, we investigate the assumption of motivational interference theory that students show different amounts of impairments in learning depending on the presence and motivational strength of conflicting alternatives. In Study 1 (N?=?221), the subjective value attributed to a respective alternative in a study–leisure conflict scenario partially accounted for differences in self-regulated learning while controlling for interindividual differences. Study 2 (N?=?112) demonstrated that this pattern applies to both when the respective alternatives refer to ‘liking to’ (want conflicts) and ‘having to’ (should conflicts) do something. Moreover, it is demonstrated that impairments due to motivational conflict are higher than impairments inherent in the studying activity itself (baseline). The results emphasise the importance of concurring action alternatives for explaining difficulties in self-regulated learning.

A Conceptual Change Teaching Strategy to Facilitate High School Students' Understanding of Electrochemistry

Recent research in chemistry education has shown an increasing interest in the facilitation of conceptual change in student understanding of chemical concepts. Most of the studies have tried to show the difference in student performance on algorithmic and conceptual problems. The objective of this study is to go beyond and design a teaching strategy based on two teaching experiments that could facilitate students' conceptual understanding of electrochemistry. The study is based on two sections (control, n = 29; experimental, n = 28) of 10th grade high school students at a public school in Venezuela. Experimental group participated in two teaching experiments designed to generate situations/experiences in which students are forced to grapple with alternative responses leading to cognitive conflicts/contradictions. Results obtained show that learning electrochemistry involves both algorithmic and conceptual problems. On Posttest 1, 93% of the experimental group students responded correctly, in contrast to 39% of the control group. On Posttest 2, 39% of the experimental group responded correctly, in contrast to 0% of the Control group. The difference in performance on both posttests is statistically significant (p < 0.001). It is concluded that the teaching experiments facilitated students' understanding (progressive transitions) of electrochemistry.
