Assessing the Benefits of Content Notes Enhancements for Digital Audio Resources

Our library has previously investigated the potential impact the addition of contents notes on circulation. In a subsequent study, we found contents notes were the second metadata element most heavily linked to circulation (title was first). Since there has been a marked decline in the use of print resources at our library and a corresponding increase in digital resources, we wanted to know if the addition of contents notes to records for online streaming audio files would result in a similar increase in usage. After enhancing the records, we tracked usage for a period of three months.     

Benefits to Collection Development Librarians from Collaborating with “Community-Embedded” Librarians-In-Training

The 21st century collection manager encounters serious challenges in collection development (e.g., budget shortages, lack of skilled personnel, lower agency prioritization, and reduced available staff time). This article explores a practical, low-cost solution to these challenges that prevent collection developers from regularly creating/managing adequately balanced collections. It discusses the role of 93 “community-embedded” librarians-in-training to develop contextually situated collections in a graduate course taught seven times in an information sciences program in a southern land grant university. Findings of collection management activity tasks completed during the course provide evidence of accrued tangible outcomes/benefits to motivate collection development librarians and their information agencies collaborate with librarians-in-training in future initiatives.     

对体育课程结构改革的探讨--浅议在高校体育课中增设体育活动课

长期以来体育教学是以体育课程为主体的体育学科体系，在传统的体育教学中占有举足轻重的地位。本文通过对体育学科课程、活动课程及其与教学的关系进行比较分析，对体育活动课程的改革提出几点建议。     

论专业课程教学中的人文教育

目前各高校己在专业课程教学中将人教育摆到了一个相当重要的位置，各高校都明确了化素质教育的定位和内涵，指出了当前专业课程教学中应加强化素质教育工作，以提高全体大学生的化品位，审美情趣，人素养和科学素质。

促进人的个性发展是教育长期追求的重要目标。思想政治课在学校的课程体系中居于首要位置,在提高学生的文化素养、道德修养及促进学生的个性发展等方面发挥着不可替代的作用。而艺术院校的学生在个性及其专业特性上具有明显的特点,因而,在思想政治课教育中,重视和利用教育对象的特殊性并将其与教育活动紧密联系,使教育活动自觉反映并符合学生身心发展的需求、学生的个性发展与教育活动趋向良性互动的状态,实现艺术院校思想政治课教育功能最大化的目标。     

基于服务外包专门用途的高职日语听说课程教学模式改革研究

学习外语是为了更好的交流,多元化的价值观和日益增多的人际交往使得沟通变得愈加重要。可以让对方理解的、成功的语言交际需要人们具备完成任务的能力和跨文化理解的能力(包括通过接触多种文化开拓眼界,理解并尊重其他文化)。传统的日语听说教学关注学生词汇、句型的掌握等,教学内容侧重日语能力考试的听力训练,也就是语言知识本身的掌握情况,新的教学理念要求侧重培养学生的实际语言应用能力、对不同文化的理解能力以及学生的一般素养。本文在分析目前高职日语听说课程教学中存在问题的基础上,结合专门用途英语理论,提出日语听说课程教学模式改革的一些建议。     

浅论科学研究对医院发展的贡献

采用文献研究法、定性分析法和定量分析法,对目前国内外部分医院科研现状进行分析,总结医院的科研现状和发展规律,分析医院科研对医院的贡献,为提高医院科研水平提供参考依据。结果表明:医院科研给医院带来的贡献包括科研产出和科研声誉;医院开展科研,在SCI发文量和专利获得量上,给医院带来了巨大的贡献;同时,良好的科研会提高医院在医院排行榜上的位置,提高医院声誉。     

电机学精品在线开放课程校企合作初探

工程教育专业认证背景下,电机学省级精品在线开放课程注重校企合作,收集丰富的生产现场教学资源,聘请企业专家录制教学视频,开展网上讨论、网上直播课等。下阶段校企合作重点是编写理论和实践教材、共建电机科技活动实训室、企业专家指导网上PBL项目、指导学生选取企业真题申报大创项目。     

The effect of television viewing on ethnic prejudice against immigrants: A study in the Italian context

Television viewers construct many different meanings from the programs they watch. Here, we investigated whether ethnic prejudice is differentially influenced by the genre of television programs in their portrayal of ethnic minorities. We also wanted to determine whether a higher educational level reduces ethnic prejudice and television use. A self-reported questionnaire was administered to 401 Italian adults. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the relationships between ethnic prejudice and television program contents and educational level. Viewing Reality and Variety Shows was positively related to ethnic prejudice, News and Public Affairs was negatively related, and Films and TV series had no apparent influence on prejudice. Educational level was negatively related to both ethnic prejudice and watching Reality and Variety Shows, and positively related to viewing News and Public Affairs and Films and TV series programs.     

高职思政课实践教学与工学结合叠加教学探索

实践教学是思政课及工学结合不可或缺的重要组成部分。积极推进思政课实践教学与专业顶岗实习的有机结合，重构与工学结合相适应的思政课实践教学体系，以发挥二者间的叠加教学效应。这既是高职培养“全面发展和适应社会需要”的人的题中应有之意，也是高职思政课实践教学改革要着力探索的一种新型方式和途径。
