Recently scholars have called for more detailed historical study of the teaching lives of academics across countries, systems and institutions. This article contributes to the research on the professoriate in its widest sense. The article focuses on the disciplinary perspectives and cultures of academic staff employed in one of Australia’s oldest colleges of advanced education during the period 1965–1982. It examines official beliefs, slogans, and truisms, which formed part of these perspectives. Disciplinary perspectives include the academics’ views of the subject, the important problems for the subject, and the criteria of utility of the subject. Australia’s Commonwealth Advisory Committee on Advanced Education saw colleges of advanced education compared to universities enrolling students with different interests, stressing part‐time studies, concentrating on applied courses rather than humanities, being closely attuned to the labour market and workforce needs and being principally teaching institutions. They were to be equal but different to universities, but came to be viewed as equal but cheaper. A crucial issue is the extent to which the disciplinary perspectives of college of advanced education academics matched those that the legislators envisaged. 相似文献

In contrast to theoretical and empirical insights from research into formative assessment in compulsory schooling, understanding the relationship between formative assessment, motivation and learning in vocational education has been a topic neglected by researchers. The Improving Formative Assessment project (IFA) addresses this gap, using a sociocultural approach to explore the relationship between formative assessment practices and ‘learning cultures’ in vocational education. This article explores the influence of learning cultures in vocational education on the practice of formative assessment and evaluates critically two closely related questions. Why do some learning cultures foster formative assessment that leads to instrumental learning while others develop deeper forms of learning? 为了丰富和完善中华优秀传统文化教育传承体系,推动民族传统体育进校园,通过文献研究法、逻辑分析法、调查法、专家访谈法等,探讨中华优秀传统体育文化教育传承的目标、内容与方略。研究表明:1)中华优秀传统体育文化教育传承的目标集中体现在提升青少年体育运动能力和体育文化知识,促进身心健康,培育民族精神,提升文化自信等方面。2)中华优秀传统体育文化可分为武艺、游艺、养生三大类教育传承内容,依据不同学段学生身心发展特点、不同类别运动项目技能形成规律以及体育课程"一体化"要求,可设计出1~9年级四个学段的课程内容。建议构建传统体育文化课程和教材体系,发挥其学校教育主渠道作用;丰富课外锻炼和竞赛活动,构建传统体育"学、练、赛"体系;颁布相关政策法规,为落实传统体育文化教育保驾护航;突出传统体育项目在课程标准中的地位,并将其纳入体育中考内容体系;组织专门培训,支持外聘专业人士和传承人授课;培养专门人才,加强体育教育专业学生传统体育文化教育。 相似文献

辽金元三朝诗是在民族文化融合的历史背景下发展的,是中国韵体文学史上不可或缺的环节,显示了独特的风貌和魅力,有一定的历史贡献。辽诗以圣宗即位为断,分为前后二期。金诗经历了前、中、后三个发展时期,尤以金、元易代之际为繁盛,出现了彪炳千载的艺术大师元好问。元诗发展大体与蒙古统一北方、统一全国和元明鼎革的历史进程相对应。早期的北方诗人群、一统后的元诗四家、衔接中、后二期的萨都刺和易代之际铁崖诗派领袖杨维桢等一大批诗人是镶嵌于元诗史上的明珠。元诗为题画诗、边塞诗、竹枝词、宫词、奁体诗、咏物诗等部类都提供了新的基质。元代北方民族诗人群体的出现也成为引人瞩目的现象。 相似文献

With a central focus on thecultural contexts of Pacific island societies,this essay examines the entanglement ofcolonial power relations in local recordkeepingpractices. These cultural contexts include theon-going exchange between oral and literatecultures, the aftermath of colonialdisempowerment and reassertion of indigenousrights and identities, the difficulty ofmaintaining full archival systems in isolated,resource-poor micro-states, and the drivinginfluence of development theory. The essayopens with a discussion of concepts ofexploration and evangelism in cross-culturalanalysis as metaphors for archival endeavour. It then explores the cultural exchanges betweenoral memory and written records, orality, andliteracy, as means of keeping evidence andremembering.
