Introducing the Concept of Convergence of a Sequence in Secondary School

My purpose in this paper is to present a didactic tool – a set of specially designed problems and questions for discussion – that can help making students better aware of the various aspects of the formal notion of limit of a sequence. The didactic tool will be justified using results from my own and other authors' research on students' naïve or erroneous conceptions of limit of a sequence.

Time Management in the Work Economy of A Class, A Case Study: Integration of Cabri in Primary School Mathematics Teaching

Time is a constraint but also a condition of operating within a didactic system. Don’t we need to distinguish several kinds of times? Our study will focus on teachers’ time management strategies. We will identify these strategies by taking into account two temporal dimensions – didactic time and time capital – and the rate at which the former advances relative to the latter, called the pace of an activity, a lesson or a teaching sequence. Those strategies have been identified in the specific context of the integration of the Cabri-geometry dynamic geometry software in the daily work of a French primary school.     

Useful interactive teaching tool for learning: clickers in higher education†

Many university lecturers are encouraged to implement innovative teaching tools and methodologies such as clickers in order to create an interactive learning environment and improve student learning, but its performance must be evaluated. The aim of this paper is to test empirically the impact of the use of clickers on students' learning processes. The teaching experience applied to the subject of Financial Accounting is specifically described. The total sample size is 77 students from a Business Administration and Economics Degree, taught in English and in Spanish. The analysis, using multivariate techniques, of the questionnaire responses, students' grades and a reflexive experience of the lecturer conclude that learning with clickers is effective. There is a positive relationship between grades and intrinsic motivation through clickers. Consequently, the students' marks are related to its intrinsic motivation, feedback to understanding, students' discussion and its negative aspects but not gender nor age.

基于模糊理论的数控机床故障诊断方法

通过分析数控机床故障的特点,应用模糊数学理论,结合经验,提出了一种数控机床故障诊断模糊数学定量分析方法,分别从数控机床故障症状、故障源两方面进行研究,最后加权综合,找出故障原因.解决了传统数控机床故障诊断依靠经验而带来的困难,减少了盲目性,提高了可靠性,并以数控系统主电源低为例介绍了此方法的具体应用.
