虚妄的轮回——论《受活》中个体人文幻想

《受活》在许多视角上得到业内普遍关注,．但在元幻想构建下显示出的具有虚妄疯癫的轮回特征的人文幻想却鲜有人谈论。然而,它作为阎连科神实主义的实践作品之一,正是以此人本主义情怀和观照热情为缘起,深度展示了一个有责任感的知识分子的疼痛感知与敏锐的洞察力。以人文幻想和轮回性视角重新观照《受活》,一方面可以给予作品新的研究范式,另一方面也能够更深入透辟人性的理想真实与灵魂真实。     

Using symbolic convergence theory to discern and segment motives for enrolling in professional master's degree programs

In a preliminary effort to stem a steep decline in graduate enrollments, a regional comprehensive university began a search for its perceived market advantages. Using the tenets of Bormann's (1985) Symbolic Convergence Theory, the investigation identified fantasy types involved in student decisions to enroll and, after surveying new students (N = 739) over a four year period, isolated two emergent rhetorical visions ～ “Better Program, Quality University,” and “Small Campus, Big Opportunity”‐that were shared, to differing degrees, by students in professionally diverse academic programs. Results are discussed in terms of what they suggest about promoting professional master's degree programs generally, and communication programs specifically, and what they reveal about the saliency of rhetorical visions.

神话是20世纪中国人学科话语中出现的新名词，与它同时传入我国学术界的是以神话为研究对象的新学科－“神话学”，神话作为学，宗教和初民思维的表现形式，具有非常重要的化意蕴和哲理蕴涵，现代神话学发展迅猛，理论和方法日新月异，在解读模式上可归结为语言学的，仪式学的，自然学派的，历史学的，结构主义的，心理学的，哲学的和女性主义的八中方法流派，总结神话学的多种方法并加以综合运用，对于拓展跨学科的人研究具有启示意义。     

“What does Obama want of me?” Anxiety and Jade Helm 15

This article reclaims the concept of anxiety for rhetoric and demonstrates the usefulness of doing so by examining reactions to the Jade Helm 15 military training exercise. Following Lacan's recently translated seminar on Anxiety, the essay argues on behalf of a conceptualization of anxiety as a result of affective investments in a network of discourse rather than an individual feeling. This rearticulation of anxiety has implications for both rhetorical theory and criticism as well as practical responses to right-wing conspiracy theories such as those surrounding Jade Helm.

‘You Never Know,Things Might Have Once Existed’: Young Readers Engaging with Postmodern Texts that Blur the Boundaries between Fact and Fiction

This article considers children’s engagement with the Ologies, a series of postmodern texts that blur the boundaries between fact and fiction. It follows on from a text-based analysis of the series published in this journal (22(3) 2015). Data collected from 9–12 year olds demonstrate how actual readers took up the invitation offered by the text and were able to identify the tension between realism and fantasy, oscillate between different genres, stop to play games and use the tactile to make meaning. In addition, they willingly brought their own knowledge of the world to the text and were able to tease out meanings through dialogic interaction. We argue that the meaningful discussion that ensued is due to the multi-layered nature of the books which offers agency to the pupils with little adult interference.

斯蒂芬·克莱恩的《街头女郎梅吉》是一部经典的贫民窟小说。作品中的女主人公梅吉没有认识到贫民道德观和中产阶级道德观的分裂和冲突,却刚好掉进了两者的裂缝间,成为这种冲突的受害者。克莱恩通过这部作品传达了他对贫民窟非传统道德观的思考。     

论葛兰西的科幻小说观

对科幻小说审美特征的论述是葛兰西文艺思想和政治思想的重要组成部分。葛兰西重点论述了凡尔纳和威尔斯等人的科幻小说作品。他对凡尔纳科幻小说的科学性、幻想性和乐观精神等特点给予了高度评价,也指出这些特点给凡尔纳创作所带来的局限性;他重点论述了威尔斯科幻小说的现实批判性特征,对威尔斯小说中的道德说教倾向进行了批评。葛兰西对科幻小说审美特点的论述具有理论家的深刻性和革命家的现实性。由于从既定的理论出发,葛兰西对科幻小说审美特征的分析也有先入为主的缺陷。     

试论唐人小说中胡人形象的美学意蕴

胡人形象是唐人小说人物类型之一。唐人小说具有传奇美学特征,胡人形象虽然在唐人小说中并不占重要篇幅,但同样具有丰富的美学意蕴。通过对胡人形象的外貌特征、身世背景、方术技能的考察,认为胡人形象具有奇幻色彩,与唐人小说的传奇美学正相一致。
