论理性主义与希腊罗马史学观念之嬗变

古希腊的理性主义世界观和方法论对希腊罗马的历史观产生了重要影响,实质主义和形而上学的方法论是这一历史观的突出特征。西方史学家在希腊罗马时代就把历史看做是具有理性的实践活动,排斥否定神灵对人事的影响,从而树立起人文主义的历史观。希腊哲学是基督教思想的来源之一,与基督教史学也有着密切联系。西方近现代史学最突出的特征就在于打破理性主义哲学对历史学的桎梏,并努力用辩证的方法将史论两者有机地统一起来。

女性主义诗学向性别诗学的转变是女性主义理论发展的必然趋势,但是在女性的主体、身份及身体与权利的诸多方面仍然存在着许许多多的问题,它们对从女性主义诗学向性别诗学转变的方向起着巨大的影响力,因此,在女性的主体、身份及身体与权利的问题未解决之前,性别诗学的建立也只能是另一种性别不平等对话的开始。     

中外史学交流与徽学学科建设

徽学作为一门学科,其学科归属和定位十分重要。徽学是一门以徽州社会经济史特别是明清社会经济史研究为主体,综合研究徽州整体历史文化以及徽人在外地活动的历史学科。严格意义上说,徽学应当归属于历史学的专门史研究范畴。正是中外交流的开展,才使徽学最终成为一门学科,并逐步走向成熟与繁荣。     

抗战时期陈垣先生的史学成就

抗战期间,陈垣先生撰写了《明季滇黔佛教考》等宗教史作和最能代表他学术成就的史注研究专《通鉴胡注表微》,贡献出一批精审的史学研究成果。他的研究在考证方法和材料运用诸方面有新的突破,同时由于倡导有意义的史学,将史考与史义紧密结合起来,努力发挥史学的社会功能,使他的学术研究进入了一个新的境界。

女性主义文学批评从文学形象批评开始寻找女性被书写、被定义的历史,在对男性文本的性别阅读中发现自己、表达自己,重视女性话语权力,使女性的声音不再被湮没,使男性的文本开始正视女性的真实存在,这为女性身份的定义开拓了新的空间,也为女性形象的重建提供了可能性。     

“Truth or consequences”: a feminist critical policy analysis of the STEM crisis

STEM education has received significant attention in the USA and is largely fueled by rhetoric suggesting the USA is losing its global competitive edge and that there is a lack of qualified workers available to fill growing STEM jobs. However, a counter discourse is emerging that questions the legitimacy of these claims. In response, we employed feminist critical policy analysis as both a theory and a method to further critique the STEM crisis discourse. We argue that the nature of the current discourse is misleading at worst and incomplete at best and show who is fueling the crisis discourse and who stands to win or lose as a result. We reveal how the crisis discourse draws attention away from the multi-layered complexity of the issue and surface what is missing in the discourse to re-center public attention on protracted problems that still need dismantling.

Early Football and the Emergence of Modern Soccer,c. 1840–1880

The origins of the modern football codes have attracted considerable attention from historians of sport over the past two decades, resulting in a vigorous debate between the self-described ‘revisionists’, led by Adrian Harvey, and the followers of Eric Dunning, dubbed by their opponents as the ‘orthodox’ view. However, this article argues that both sides commit the same methodological errors: an overestimation of the importance of written rules, an ahistoric view of culture and continuity, and a tendency to view the past through the lens of the present. By re-examining the historical record of early forms of football and presenting a broader contextual perspective for the emergence of the football codes in the 1840 to 1880 period, the article aims to address some of the key historiographical issues that confront historians of sport today.
