流行语的语言学界定及特征

流行语不是热门词语,也不是高频词语,《中国语言生活状况报告》课题组使用的"流行语"实际上是"热门词语"和"高频词语"的复合体,语言学界应当有自己的流行语定义,我们认为流行语的语言学界定是"当流行以语言为载体,而且具有语法组合或语义组合的创新时,就形成了流行语",这一定义使我们更多地关注流行语的语言形式的创新及其语义演变过程,更有利于理解语言变化的社会动因。流行语具有流行性、创新性、变异性和模因性四大特点。

近几年,地方党委、政府换届工作中拉票贿选现象日益凸显且屡禁不止。究其原因是多方面的,主要是民主选举制度存有缺陷,权力运行缺乏制约,贿选法律惩罚缺乏刚性,民主选举监督机制缺失。防治拉票贿选的有效措施在于创新民主选举方法,改进民主管理制度,健全贿选惩罚法律,完善民主监管机制,加强民主法制教育。

基于数字多波束形成的比幅测向法

面对现代战争的超视距要求,需要通信侦察装备具有很高的侦测灵敏度,尤其是侦测各种天波、散射及旁瓣信号。为此,提出将数字波束形成算法与比幅测向相结合,在空域与频域同时处理阵列信号,以此来提高系统的测向灵敏度和测向精度,仿真结果表明该方法要明显优于相位干涉仪测向法。

This article is a glossary of terms one finds in open source integrated library systems (ILSs). The focus of this glossary is on the two major open source ILSs—Evergreen and Koha. These are being used in an increasing number of U.S. and Canadian public libraries as well as other types of libraries. The glossary is an introduction to the terms that those working with these open source library systems use on a day-to-day basis, with links to sources with more information for those new to open source projects.

“姑舅”是河湟地区颇为流行的一种称谓,其义项主要包括姑表、姨表兄弟姐妹之间的互称和年龄相仿者之间的互称两种。河湟“姑舅”称谓是古代“舅姑”、“姑舅”、“姑”、“舅”等称谓的现代遗留,后来在拟亲属称谓制度的现实实践中,“姑舅”称谓的指称范围不断延展、扩大。     

Life,liberty, and the handgun: The function of synecdoche in the Brady Bill debate

This essay identifies the debate over the Brady Bill as part of a longstanding public argument rooted in two conflicting views of handguns that conceptualize competing social realities, and it argues that the social constructions of the handgun, in divergent synecdochic forms, shape the debate and maintain controversy over gun control. The divergent representations of the handgun in the debate are viewed as tactical components of competing discourses that function to sustain the practice of handgun ownership rights on the one hand, and to replace that practice on the other. Thus the critical task in this essay is to identify these synecdochal representations of the handgun as vital to both the construction and maintenance of competing social realities in the debate over the Brady Bill, and to demonstrate how such representations serve as divergent rhetorical constructs for competing interests.     

Unpacking child-centredness: A history of meanings

This paper examines the historical development of the term 'child-centred' in the discourse of early schooling in America. The discussion begins with the founder of the kindergarten, Friedrich Froebel, and traces the development of the kindergarten in the US until the 1930s. We explore how underlying meanings of the term child-centredness have changed - which were lost and which survived by tracing the educational and philosophical currents of each historical context. The term balances on many layers of complex and sometimes contradictory meanings that have been forged over the years by competing interest groups, each appropriating the term and, adding to and taking away from the existing meaning, moulding it to their own purposes. In the process, some underlying meanings were lost, others were added. Meanings were changed and then shared within and sometimes across groups. The term has masked complex and contradictory underlying assumptions about children and their learning and development that should be addressed.
