高校文化育人视阈下的大学生外语节功能——以湖州师范学院“外语节”为例

传统的"以教师为主,以书本为主"课堂已无法满足高校学生学习外语的需求,校园文化活动的"第二课堂"的作用日益凸显。该文以湖州师范学院的"外语节"为例,通过问卷调查、走访等形式研究"外语节"活动如何发挥校园文化的强大育人功能,成为英语课堂的延伸和补充,起到开拓学生视野,激发学习热情,提升外语专业技能和应用能力的关键作用。     

漫话中国英语

英语现在已名符其实地成为国际语言(international language)。当今世界,如果不能有效地掌握和使用英语,就等于与世界割裂开来。英语的全球化,也伴随着英语的本土化,中国英语便是英语和中国本土文化相结合的产物,它已成为中国向世界传达自己观点的有效通道。本文就中国英语产生的必然性、合理性及普及中国英语的方法作一简要阐释。     

An EFL Teacher Education Program Proposal

A 3-month teacher education program is proposed to enable teachers to teach more effectively and develop constantly by familiarizing them with social demand,informing them of modern language learning and teaching theories and training their ability in pedagogical reasoning and decision making.The knowledge base,rationale and overall implementation of the whole program are elaborated respectively.     

诗语言情境的新现象学意蕴

新现象学家赫尔曼·施密茨提出了情境理论,并将其运用到诗语言范畴中,阐释了诗语言情境的内涵。诗语言通过象征、隐喻和韵律等表现手法更加贴切地阐释情境。诗语言展示人类情感的脆弱和质朴,引发了施密茨对诗语言的人学思考。诗语言就是在人存在的原初的当下和展开的当下之间所进行的一种居间游戏。诗语言更贴近＂生活本身＂,诗语言呈现了情境的原初性、整体性和意蕴性,为尝试解决语言的困境开辟了道路。     

An Analysis of the CET English Writing Tests from the Perspective of Language Testing

This article is mainly talked about CET English writing tests from the perspective of language testing.Writing tests designed to test the language proficiency,have direct and integrative characteristics.Writing requires the candidates to use language accurately,fluently and appropriately.     

The Critical Discussion of the Second Language Learning in the Classroom in China

Over the past decades,Chinese students have employed various methods with a large amount of time and enormous efforts on learning English.However,the result is still far from satisfaction.Therefore,how to learn English more effectively in the classroom has become a major concern not only for students,but also for teachers and linguists.This paper consists of two sections,and each section has the same three topics,exploring the second language learning issues according to the literature review and my personal English learning context in China.Hopefully,it can help Chinese students and teachers to have a better understanding of some common issues related to the second language learning.     

On the College English Learning Strategies and Their Usages

English language learning strategy is an important part in the process of learning,and the selection and use of it has a direct impact on the effect of English learning.Now there are some problems in the use of college English learning strategy,which have many factors,such as:learning environment,learning concepts,learning motivation and so on.Therefore,some corresponding strategies must been taken so as to improve the quality of teachers’teaching and the efficiency of students’learning.     

The Relationships among Language Self-Efficacy,Listening Strategy and Academic Achievements:A Case of Chinese Qinghai-Tibet Plateau EFL learners

The present study was carried out to analyze the effect of language self-efficacy and listening strategy on academic achievements in Chinese Qinghai-Tibet Plateau EFL learners.To achieve this goal,eighty-seven university students participated in the study and filled in language self-efficacy and listening strategy questionnaire.The result revealed that learners’language self-efficacy,listening strategy are positively correlated with academic achievements.Comparing the two factors influencing language learning,self-efficacy has higher prediction than listening strategies to academic achievements.Inner correlation exists in language self-efficacy and listening strategies.No gender exists.The study shed more light on the influence of self-efficacy and listening strategy on students’performance.     

基于COCA语料库的英语近义词辨析：以small和little为例

该文基于美国当代英语语料库对small和little这一对近义词进行辨析,发现两者在语域分布、搭配和语义韵上存在差别。这样的区分方法,相对于传统的教学方法更能准确地区分近义词,因而语料库作为有效的工具应该引入到外语教学和学习。同时,语料库能够对词典的编纂提出合理有效的建议。     

An Analysis of Cultural Obstacles on English Learning

Language and culture can not be separated. It is impossible to learn language well if people do not master cultural background. With the frequent communication between China and other nations throughout the world, cross-cultural communicative competence is put forward to be the ultimate goal of foreign language learning in China. However, in present situation, cultural factor has not gained its due place in students’ English learning. Based on this circumstance, this paper analyzes the cultural obstacles on English learning from the aspects of listening, reading and communicating, and puts forward that while instructing English language, teachers of English should pay attention to and spread cultural background knowledge of English speaking nations to improve students’ language comprehension ability and cross-cultural communicative competence.
