Infrared Absorption Spectra of Serpentine Cat＇s Eye from Sichuan Province of China

Infrared （IR） absorption spectra and X-ray powder diffraction （XRD） patterrns of sexpenfine cat＇s eye from Sichuan Province have been investigated, and infrared absorption bands of the serpentine have been assigned in this paper. The results indicate that the bands near 3 600 - 3 700 cm^-1 belong to the stretching absorption band VOH, the bands in 948 - 1 100 cm^-1 axe assigned to the stretching vibraling band Usvo, and the bands at 600 570 and 440 cm^-1 respectively belong to the bending vibration band VOH, δMg-O and δSi-O. The serpentine cat＇ s eye includes two types： chrysotile and antigorite. Chrysotile has a sharp and intensive band at 3 688 cm^-1 and a weak band at 3 643 cm^-1 , while antigorite has only one intensive band in the region. At vibration band VSi-O, chrysotile and antigorite have a similar feature at 1 071 cm^-1, but the band at 980 cm^-1 in anfigorite has been split into two bands in chrysotile - a strong one at 1 027 cm^-1 and a weak one at 949 cm^-1. In addition, antigorite has a characteristic bending vibrating band δMg-O at 570 cm^-1. Based on the analysis of the feature of crystal structure, their IR differences axe well explained.     

Local Spiral Curves Simulating Based on Hough Transformation and Center Auto-Locating of Developing Typhoon

In the developing phase of typhoon formation, the spiral belt partly emerges in satellite cloud images. This research starts from images and moves on to graphics and then to representation and recognition. Following this route, local spiral cloud belt is segmented from the raw images using image segmentation, the spiral information is extracted using mathematic morphology, and local spiral curves are detected using Hough transformation. The problem of center locating of developing typhoon has finally been solved through a search algorithm of spiral curve. For No. 99082008 cloud image, the result produced by the algorithm in this paper is at 122. 3 degree west longitude, 17.5 degree north latitude. The real typhoon center location was at 122.4 degree west longitude, 18 degree north latitude.     

基于C8051F020的智能红外报警系统设计

以C8051f020单片机作为控制核心,采用热释电红外传感器模块DYP-ME003作为前端探测器,通过SPI协议模式对语音芯片ISD1700进行语音录放功能的精确操控,实现语音门铃录音、播放,报警声录音、播放等。若有人入侵,则通过单片机控制GSM模块按照设置好的号码及信息发送到主人的手机上,达到报警目的。测试结果表明,该系统能真实再现语音效果,运行稳定、可靠。

FTIR Measurement of Cellulose Microfibril Angle in Historic Scots Pine Wood and Its Use to Detect Fungal Decay

Microfibril angle (MFA) – the orientation of cellulose fibres in the S2 layer of the secondary cell wall – is a key determinant of the stiffness and strength of timber. The microfibril angle depends on the way in which the timber was grown and its position within the tree. Microfibril angle can be measured by X-ray diffraction and other methods, but the methods in current use are slow or require advanced instrumentation. The aim of this study was to explore the use of polarised Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) microscopy as a relatively fast and inexpensive method for measuring MFA in historic Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.). The FTIR measurements were calibrated against X-ray measurements of MFA in modern Scots pine. We observed a wide range in MFA values and a radial pattern of MFA similar to modern Scots pine in undecayed Scots pine heartwood from sixteenth and seventeenth century beams in Scottish secular buildings. The density of the heartwood was also similar to modern plantation-grown Scots pine despite the much slower growth rate recorded in the ring widths of the historic timber. The sapwood, which had been attacked by both insect pests and fungi, showed an erratic reduction in density and a large increase in MFA compared to the modern material. The increased sapwood MFA was attributed to selective destruction of the S2 layer of the wood cell walls by fungal decay. Using MFA measurements in conjunction with density offers the possibility to estimate the mechanical properties of sound historic pine timber, to detect fungal decay more sensitively than by density alone, and to distinguish between pest and fungal attack in a way that relates directly to the remaining mechanical performance of the timber.

快速检测熏硫银耳系统设计及实验教学应用

银耳被硫磺熏蒸后能够防霉变、防虫蛀,并且鲜艳卖相好。但长期服用熏硫银耳会伤害身体。本项目开发了便携式可见-近红外光谱法快速检测硫熏银耳测试系统,通过对熏硫银耳样品的实验测试结果,得到熏硫银耳中残留的硫磺在715 nm和835 nm处存在明显吸收峰,说明银耳含有硫磺残留,实现了熏硫银耳中硫磺残留量的快速检测。有助于市场现场鉴别熏硫银耳,为加强市场管理提高了有效检测方法。将研究结果用于传感器等课程实验教学后,激发了学生的学习兴趣,有助于工科学生实践创新能力的培养。
