School closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic uncovered the overriding need to create engaging online learning environments to facilitate students' learning. This paper focuses on the online evaluation of Own-Voice Intensive Phonics (OVIP) approach, a computer-assisted instruction programme used during the COVID restrictions to help 15 pupils aged 7–12 with reading difficulties improve their reading. Analysis of Single Word Reading pre-and-post-test revealed a 3.2-year mean word reading age gain over a 19- to 22-week period. Questionnaire data from pupils and parents and the end of OVIP session and parent-reported data at a one-year follow-up demonstrated an overall increase in pupil reading skills and self-confidence that transferred into wider confidence and engagement for some pupils. Findings indicate that OVIP might be an effective teacher-mediated programme in supporting pupils with reading difficulties to enhance their reading skills through online tutoring. Further research is necessary to compare teacher-mediated own voice approaches to unmediated programmes, using a larger sample.  相似文献

政策激励和价值感知是影响农户节水技术采纳行为的重要方面,分析二者对农户节水技术采纳的影响有助于提升节水技术采纳率、实现水资源可持续利用。本文基于冀鲁豫1188个粮食种植户调查数据,运用双变量Probit模型分析政策激励和价值感知及其交互项对农户节水技术采纳行为的影响,并揭示农户节水技术采纳行为的代际差异和规模差异。研究发现:①政策激励和价值感知显著促进农户采纳农艺和工程节水技术,对同时采纳两种技术的影响由高到低依次为政策补贴、经济感知、农技宣传、适用感知、环境感知和灌溉水价。②价值感知在政策激励对农户节水技术采纳行为的影响中发挥调节效应,农技宣传、政策补贴、灌溉水价对农艺和工程节水技术采纳行为的激励作用均受到经济感知的影响,农技宣传能够激励高环境感知农户采纳农艺节水技术、高适用感知农户采纳工程节水技术,灌溉水价有助于高适用感知农户采纳农艺节水技术。③政策激励和价值感知对农户节水技术采纳行为的影响存在代际差异和规模差异,老一代农户、规模农户的节水技术采纳行为受到政策激励和价值感知各变量的显著影响,农技宣传、适用感知显著促进新生代农户采纳工程节水技术,小农户节水技术采纳行为主要受到农技宣传、政策补贴和适用感知的影响。④农技宣传、政策补贴与灌溉水价在影响农户节水技术采纳行为的过程中存在互补效应。鉴于此,本文提出应强化政府在节水技术推广中的作用,注重提升农户价值感知水平,加强对新生代农户和小规模农户的政策倾斜。  相似文献

Using a sociocultural framework to approach intergenerational learning, this inquiry examines learning processes used by families during visits to one nature center. Data were collected from videotaped observations of families participating in an environmental education program and a follow-up task to draw the habitat of raptors. Based on a thematic analysis, researchers developed two themes about the learning processes at play in the nature center, related to the use of prior knowledge. First, families’ prior knowledge used at the nature center came from informal education activities: (a) observation in the outdoors and spaces designed to represent an aspect of nature, (b) media (including books and Internet), and (c) experiences at informal education institutions. Second, when sharing prior knowledge, participation frameworks were created through the conversation that leveled the hierarchy between parent and child allowing for negotiation and collaborative idea formation. In the nature center, families valued social harmony by positioning their children as capable contributors of environmental knowledge. Suggestions to researchers taking a sociocultural approach are given, including the potential of ‘participation frameworks’ as an analytical tool to study learning interactions and as a potential tool for environmental educators to encourage families to create roles and structures for successful learning outcomes in nature centers.  相似文献

The lived experiences of young people are becoming increasingly marginalised within the narrowly defined curricula of neoliberal contexts. Many young people are also cast within the media according to deficit discourses of youth, which contributes to the fragmentation of communities and the limitation of interaction between generations. This article describes a film project in which young people living in an ex-mining community in the Midlands of England worked in and with their community to create a representation of where they live. As part of the process, the young filmmakers did more than connect to other people’s memories as repositories of information; both as process and as product, their film can be seen to connect shared narratives of people and place, across time and space. We argue that this project offers a timely opportunity to reflect upon the ways in which we understand learning in and out of English classrooms.  相似文献

This paper explores the role of collective contradictions in the development of participants in a group employment programmes. It presents an analysis, rooted in cultural-historical activity theory, of longitudinal data collected during an intervention aimed at social and professional reintegration of people living a long-term unemployment situation. Notably based on contradictions typology proposed by Y. Engeström and Sannino (2011), our analysis shows a predominance of discursive manifestations of conflicts and critical-conflicts in the transformation of the group’s activity. The contribution to the resolution of contradiction and the mobilization of scientific and systematic conceptual instruments seems to promote the processes of consciousness that allow, on the one hand, a better understanding of what shapes these actions, thoughts and emotions, and on the other hand, a greater control or mastery thereof. This inclusion of conceptual knowledge in the curricula of employment programmes plays a critical role in the empowerment of participants. The analysis of the collective activity of groups aimed at social and professional integration shows the importance of dialectical contradictions as a driving force for development, both in terms of collective and subjective activity. Findings support the benefits of the group context in helping participant’s development towards SPI.  相似文献

This paper describes the mixed methodology evaluation of the Own‐Voice Intensive Phonics (OVIP) programme with 33 secondary students with persistent literacy difficulties. The evaluation involved a quasi‐experimental evaluation in which 33 students in years 7–9 in four schools used OVIP over an 8 week period and were monitored at three times for their word reading, phonic decoding and phonological skills. Students, teaching assistants and teachers involved were also interviewed about the use of OVIP, the perceived processes and outcomes. Assessment results showed that OVIP was associated with greater gains in word reading than these students' usual teaching/intervention approaches. Those interviewed also experienced benefits associated with using OVIP. It was further found that word reading gains were not related to a measure of being at risk of significant literacy difficulties. Participants identified the use of their own voice, the student's agency and working at their own pace as key factors relevant to how OVIP worked. These factors aligned with a working OVIP programme theory. The findings are discussed in terms of further development and research related to an own voice approach to addressing persistent literacy difficulties.  相似文献

This article examines how non-fiction children’s television programmes portray bodily changes and sexuality at puberty. Engaging with the body and the sexuality of children in the broadcast media raises cultural and social challenges. Public concern about social morality and the ‘sexualisation of children’, sexual objectification and pornography, together with the construction of childhood as a naïve pre-sexual stage of life, have silenced children’s television when it comes to the subject of children’s sexuality. However, a few programmes have offered an alternative to this taboo. Based on a study of 30 non-fiction programmes submitted between 1964 and 2016 to Prix Jeunesse international festival for children’s media, this paper describes and analyses how these programmes present unique, thought-provoking and innovative ways of engaging with the culturally controversial issue of the body and sexuality on children’s television.  相似文献

代际知识转移是保持组织知识持续性和创新能力的一种有效方式,而年长员工的代际知识转移意愿是启动该项活动的一个重要前提。基于传承理论的视角,本文提出"被需感"、"印记感"和"人生意义"需求是年长员工代际知识转移意愿的三个重要前因。通过对219份样本数据的PLS分析,本文发现"被需感"需求会对年长员工代际知识转移意愿产生积极影响;"印记感"需求对年长员工代际知识转移意愿没有直接作用,但会通过"被需感"需求的中介对年长员工代际知识转移意愿产生积极影响;"人生意义"需求不仅对年长员工代际知识转移意愿产生直接积极影响,还会通过"被需感"需求的部分中介对年长员工代际知识转移意愿产生间接促进作用。本文的研究结论在一定程度上回答了"年长员工为什么愿意转移知识给年轻员工?"这个问题,且能够对代际知识转移理论和实践做出一定的贡献。  相似文献
