词素与神经元的特征对比分析

本文通过比较神经元与词素的基本特征,指出神经系统与语言系统在宏观结构上的一致性和互动性,并以此讨论了当前神经语言学研究中存在的技术和方法上的问题。同时,本文也对神经语言学研究的发展方向做出了近期的推测。

短篇小说集《果园城记》是师陀历时八年创作的代表作，风格特异。尤其是作品的语言，可谓匠心独具。其语言策略可概括为：一：泛指，即以语意概括的词汇来模糊指代特征明显的具体对象。二，浓缩，即把具体的情感铺张转变为饱含深情的议论语言。语言策略成就了《果园城记》独特的艺术风格。     

Dyslexia assessment in Arabic

Despite advancements in empirical studies of developmental dyslexia, progress on methods of dyslexia assessment have been hampered by ongoing debate concerning diverse issues such as the role and validity of IQ in the assessment process, labelling and definitions ( Miles, 1994 ; Stanovich, 1991, 1992 ). With the emergence of cross-linguistic studies of dyslexia came the realisation that the manifestation of dyslexia is different in different languages ( Goulandris, 2003 ; Smythe, Everatt & Salter, 2004 ). It follows that the assessment of dyslexia should consider specific linguistic features of the language spoken by the individual to be assessed. This paper argues for the need of culture-fair assessment and calls for considerations to be given when assessing monolingual Arabic-speaking individuals with dyslexia which would take into account the specific linguistic feature of the Arabic language.

English-Plus Multilingualism as the New Linguistic Capital? Implications of University Students’ Attitudes Towards Languages of Instruction in a Multilingual Environment

This article investigates university students’ attitudes and perceptions about language in a multilingual country where most instruction is in English and annual national literacy results have been declining for at least 15 years. Despite this decline, English seems to be entrenched as the language of instruction, and at university it seems a foregone conclusion that instruction will occur in English. Bourdieu’s concept of linguistic capital is offered as an explanation for the preponderance of English, but the question is posed: Is the dominance of English as simple as desiring linguistic capital? Do students really regard English as critical to success, and if so, is it to the exclusion of their home languages? The results show that students invest considerable effort in learning English, but not to the exclusion of their home language and with little desire to assimilate with the English culture. The results also provide interesting and sometimes contrasting insights into students’ desired language of instruction.

20世纪西方哲学的语言学转向被称为是现代哲学的一场“哥白尼式”革命。现代西方哲学的语言学转向主要体现于科学主义和人本主义两大哲学思潮的发展中,它们以各自不同的轨迹开始并完成了这一转向。两大思潮的哲学家从不同的角度转向语言学,以意义理论为核心,强调了语言的本体论地位。这种哲学的语言学转向虽然有不科学的方面,但它为哲学研究开拓了新的广阔的空间。
