Identification of Good Practices in the Implementation of Innovative Learning Methodologies

We intend to present the partial issues resulted from the development of the European Project DelnTRA ＂cooperation for innovative training methodologies deployment in the European Labour Market＂--Stage 4： Identification of good practices in the implementation of innovative learning methodologies. This project is included into the Lifelong Learning Programme Leonardo da Vinci, Partnerships, DG Education and Culture during the period 2008-2010. The partnership （formed of eight different multi-agent organizations, directly linked to training, entrepreneurial and social environments） has identified more than 20 good practices in the field of innovative learning methodologies and has elaborated the report of stage 4. Our specific contribution is represented by the three best practices identified for Romania, under the comparative frame developed by the partnership.     

Examining Factors Affecting Science Achievement of Hong Kong in PISA 2006 Using Hierarchical Linear Modeling

This study uses hierarchical linear modeling to examine the influence of a range of factors on the science performances of Hong Kong students in PISA 2006. Hong Kong has been consistently ranked highly in international science assessments, such as Programme for International Student Assessment and Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study; therefore, an exploration of the factors that affect science performances of Hong Kong students can give a lens to examine how science education can be improved in Hong Kong and other countries. The analyses reveal that student backgrounds as male, at higher grade levels, and born in mainland (when in the same grade) are associated with better science performance. Among the attitudinal factors, enjoyment of science and self-efficacy in science play important roles in scientific achievements. Most of the parental factors, on the other hand, are not having significant impacts on achievement after student attitudes are taken into account, with only parents’ value of science having a small effect. School student intake is found to be a strong predictor of school average achievement, as well as a major mediator of the effects of school enrollment size and school socio-economic status. The findings differ from recently reported results, which suggested that school enrollment size was associated with achievement. This study also points out the problems of the use of science instruction time as a school-level variable to explain science achievement in Hong Kong.     

美国大学图书馆游戏服务的调查与思考

通过网络调查,总结出美国大学图书馆提供游戏服务的几种方式,如游戏资源借用、举办游戏主题活动、开发信息素养游戏、将游戏应用于信息素养教学。分析游戏对于大学图书馆读者服务具有的几点价值,如形成特色馆藏、创新服务内容、宣传图书馆服务、开展信息素养教育。在此基础上对我国大学图书馆开展游戏服务提出建立游戏馆藏、开辟游戏空间、开展游戏活动、在图书馆服务工具设计中融入游戏理念、将游戏与信息素养教育相结合的5点建议,供国内大学图书馆开展相关服务参考。

本文通过对科技信息素质与创新能力概念的简述,讨论创新能力培养与科技信息素质教育的关系,详细分析以科技信息素质教育推动创新能力培养的具体途径。     

Young Children, Questions and Nonfiction Books

This article discusses the use of nonfiction as a powerful antecedent for success in the types of reading required later on in the intermediate grades. Recent trends in informational (nonfiction) books, values of bringing together young children, and informational books and criteria for selecting high quality informational books are identified. Several question types are highlighted and incorporated into three strategies for bringing together young children, informational books, and questions. Also, a bibliography of high quality informational books is provided.     

基于游戏化学习的儿童数字读写素养研究

读写素养是儿童认知和学习的基础。数字时代的儿童读写素养面临儿童阅读兴趣不足的挑战。游戏化思维在儿童教学中具有重要影响,能够激发儿童学习动机,增加学习兴趣。为提升儿童数字读写素养,文章提出基于游戏化学习的儿童数字读写素养培养项目设计,开发了游戏化阅读平台--"阅读大挑战",在香港小学生中推广使用,并对使用效果进行了实证分析,讨论该项目中游戏化学习策略与项目运行要素;借此构建基于游戏化学习的儿童数字读写素养培养模式,研究结果可为数字时代下的儿童读写能力培养设计提供启示。     

摭谈卓越工程师的计算机科学素养培养

根据新一轮《计算机基础课程教学基本要求》,从我国公民的科学素养调查情况出发,以省属本科高校福建工程学院为例,分析了计算机基础教育现状,提出构建"一主两翼"的课程体系和"三层次四领域"知识体系。提倡将计算思维、信息素养等理念植入计算机教育课堂,进行有针对性的教学模式改进,以培养和提升卓越工程师的计算机科学素养。     

聚焦设计:实践与方法(上)——美国“以学生为中心”的本科教学改革研究之三

本文是美国"以学生为中心"的本科教学改革研究之三,主要介绍在这场改革中美国学者和教师创造的行之有效的实践和方法。全文共九部分。第1~3部分介绍相关文献、科学基础和大学教学有效性双因素假设。第4~6部分介绍由科学研究、受生活与职业发展影响和由经验总结而产生的实践与方法。第7部分是SC方法论,讨论了"SC方法树"、"3650"框架和5个"方法论误区"。第8部分是关于SC改革的未来,介绍了颠覆性创新概念和两所创新性学校。文章特别强调了设计在课堂教学模式改革中的核心作用。好的设计能把SC原则贯穿教学实践,能结合学生实际,促进学生有效学习。由于原文较长,故分为上下篇发表。上篇包括前四部分,下篇包括后五部分。     

高校图书馆用户信息素质教育及其评价标准

高校图书馆用户信息素质普遍不高,导致信息需求相对不足。信息素质教育迫在眉睫,可通过信息意识教育、信息道德教育、信息技能教育三个方面来完成。与此同时,建立健全一套完善的评价体系,也是检验高校信息化水平的有效手段。     

从教师的几何教学素养谈教材的解读

几何教学是数学教育工作者长期以来关注的热点问题。几何教学素养的生成在于个体对数学价值的认同,数学价值认同的内在动力在于数学思维的训练与养成,是提高教学效率的关键。对几何教材解读的深度、对几何知识历史脉络的熟悉程度是教师具备较高几何教学素养的体现。
