论分卷考试考务管理与考生答题要求

随着计算机科学和网络技术的发展,我国的各类考试方式也发生了很大改变,大部分考试已从过去的常规卷改成了分卷形式。阅卷也逐步从纸质改为机器阅卷和网上评卷。网上评卷为多评制创造了条件,对考试管理和考生答题提出了新要求。本文以全国大学英语四六级考试为例,对实施网上评卷,扫描答题卡过程中发现的一些问题,提出自已的看法和建议,以促进分卷考试更适应机器阅卷和网上评卷工作的要求。

对周口师院体育系332名学生进行手反应时测验,用所测数据进行多种统计运算,制定出评分标准和评价标准,供素质评定和选材参考。

The Delphi Project: Transforming Flemish Libraries Into User-Oriented Points of Information

ABSTRACT

Flemish libraries have historically been praised by visitors and valued by the general public, but since the turn of the century, they have seen a decline in usage. A group of libraries in Flanders believed the role of libraries should be substantially reevaluated. They embarked on the “Delphi Project” to establish methods for libraries to become centers of their local communities by focusing on the information needs of their customers. The emergence of technology supported a shift from libraries as lending institutions to information centers. In addition to a customer service philosophy and training, online tools have helped staff reach library users. An online tool called the “Bronnenwijizer” combines searching the local library catalogue, provincial and state catalogues, and the Internet. The tool also supports the creation of “baskets” for a patron's information needs that can be shared with other staff. Delphi libraries have also used “Infopleinen,” Web-based guides to topics featuring printed media and online sources. Finally, a new online question registration system was developed that fit the new Delphi service philosophy. Over half the libraries in West-Vlaanderen are entitled to call themselves Delphi Libraries, and the philosophy is being disseminated more broadly through the Delphi Project Web site. Due to governmental changes in provincial authority, the future of the project is challenged because coordination among libraries has been critical for the project's success.

大学生参与英语写作作业的批改

文章探讨了英语写作教学过程中的一个重要环节———批改环节。一般情况下,学生完成的英语作文都由教授该课程的英语教师批改,有时是抽改,有时是全部批改。英语教师很少考虑邀请学生参与学生所写英语作文的批改。文章提出应该让大学生参与同学所写英语作文的批改。文章结合大学英语写作的教学实践从学生参与的可能性、重要性、如何引导学生参与批改三个方面探讨大学生参与同学所写英语作文的批改。     

对高校数学基础课程流水阅卷模式的思考

基于流水阅卷具有高效、高质量、公平等优点,对高校数学基础课程考试采用流水阅卷的实施办法进行改革,通过实践证实效果良好。     

Can training improve marker accuracy at detecting contract cheating? A multi-disciplinary pre-post study

Contract cheating occurs when students outsource assessed work. In this study, we asked experienced markers from four disciplines to detect contract cheating in a set of 20 discipline-specific assignments. We then conducted a training workshop to improve their detection accuracy, and afterwards asked them to detect contract cheating in 20 new assignments. We analysed the data in terms of sensitivity (the rate at which markers spotted contract cheating) and specificity (the rate at which markers spotted real student work). Pre-workshop marker sensitivity was 58% and specificity was 83%. Post-workshop marker sensitivity was 82% and specificity was 87%. The increase in sensitivity was statistically significant, but the increase in specificity was not. These results indicate that markers can often detect contract cheating when asked to do so, and that training may be helpful in improving their accuracy. We suggest that markers’ suspicions may be crucial in addressing contract cheating.     

Quality and Qualms in the Marking of University Assignments by Sessional Staff: An Exploratory Study

The higher education sector is increasingly reliant upon casual (‘sessional’) staff for teaching and marking purposes. While this practice has been little examined in the past, over the last few years increasing attention has been paid to the quality of marking, mainly because students and academic staff alike are becoming increasingly likely to question examples of poor practice. Hence, many universities in Australia are now attempting to introduce stricter procedures relating to marking. Despite current concerns, there is little published research on marking practices in Australian universities. This paper adds to the body of knowledge by reporting on two pieces of empirical research into the use of casual markers. A project at Charles Sturt University comprised focus groups of, respectively, students, lecturers and markers, and a survey of distance education students. Research at the University of South Australia focused on pedagogical issues relating to marking, comparing the approaches of permanent lecturing staff with those of sessional markers. The results of these projects provide a useful insight into areas of current concern to university staff and management.
