评《二十世纪中国文学史论》

《二十世纪中国文学史论》的编选以现代性为线索,符合20世纪中国文学追求现代性的历史任务。同时,追求现代性意味着文学必须对时代作出回应。尽管这样会使文学及其研究难逃实用目的,但以现代性的核心——理性精神来回应时代不同于以往政治实用论。《二十世纪中国文学史论》以回应时代为灵魂,以现代性为线索,在论文集的编选上达到了形神兼备,成为论文集编选的学术规范典范。     

Getting to New Horizons in the Educational Milieu

Given the prevailing spirit of teacher frustration regarding current educational policy, the authors perused frequently visited teacher blogs and discussion boards in the summer of 2009 to determine whether teachers are effectively using them to express professionally informed political dissent regarding educational policy. While many teachers are frustrated with educational policies, they are not particularly adept at voicing their dissent against such policies. Many downplay their professional knowledge, avoid overtly political postings, and feel isolated from others who share their views.     

Teaching Critical Thinking and Problem Defining Skills

Critical thinking and skills in defining problems have been among the goals of a computers and society course that had its credits reduced and student number increased. In an attempt to prevent worsening the students' learning, four measures were taken. The results actually improved from a failure rate of 21.5% to 0.7%. This was mainly due to tighter project structure and additional student work. Reduced course material and improved teacher preparation did not seem to have any effect, while more focused project teaching may have contributed to the decreased failure rate. Further improvements may be gained through time estimation in the problem definition process.     

Incidence of violence in Turkish schools: A review

The present article deals with the incidence of violence cases inTurkish schools. A review of research based on published research reports andunpublished M.Sc. and Ph.D. dissertations is presented and basic lines of researchare discussed. Special emphasis was placed upon culturally specific issues,besides the culturally determined attitudes of parents and teachers. The need for anationwide system for the prevention of violence and corporal punishment wasemphasized.     

高职示范院校与普通院校促进学生现代化的对比分析

借助于人的社会化与现代化理论,使用2007年杨国枢等开发的测量工具,选择两所同行业高职学校进行教育资源的差异对学生社会化与现代化影响的比较研究。结果表明,首批进入国家示范性建设的C校的传统性明显偏低,其中"孝亲敬长"差异显著(P0.01);而现代性并不特别高,仅"独立自主"成份显著(P0.05)。各自新老学生比较发现,无任何头衔M校的传统性与现代性略有降低,但"中庸心态"和"求新求变"两成分显著(P0.05);C校则两方面略有上升,但"男性优越"显著(P0.05)。归纳分析两校学生的现代化进程基本一致,C校在教育学生继承传统和走向现代两方面都有优势,但示范效应不显著。     

Patenting and US academic research in the 20th century: The world before and after Bayh-Dole

The dramatic growth of patenting and licensing of publicly funded research by American research universities in the closing quarter of the 20th century has stimulated some of the highest-profile debates in science and technology policy today. The issue of what aspects of academic research should be public - and what private - lies at the heart of each of these debates. The movement of academic scientists into commercialisation of discoveries and inventions has been extolled by some as a new model of academic research, one which facilitates economic and social returns from universities. At the same time, this trend has been criticised by others as representing a socially inefficient ‘privatisation’ of academic research and as a threat to the ethos of science itself. This paper places these debates in historical context, with a review of changes in American universities’ patenting policies, procedures and practices throughout the 20th century, an assessment of the logic underlying the passage of the Bayh-Dole Act of 1980, and an overview of its effects on economic returns from university research.     

文学“大众化”问题的现代性境遇

由于紧密配合社会现代性的历史进程,使得文学＂大众化＂难以避免地存在着功利和审美纠结、精英和大众的身份矛盾以及文学主体性缺失的困境。这些困境是文学＂大众化＂不得不面对的现代性境遇。要想突破困境,需要社会为各个文化领域的自治发展提供条件,使文学获得充分的自律,也要依赖大众教育程度的普及和鉴赏水平的提高,使其能够真正从精神上享受文学。     

人的主体性及其道德思考

人的主体性一直是西方近现代哲学的中心问题 ,也是现代文明的核心内容。人类主体积极、能动的创造性活动推动了人类社会文明发展 ,也带来了一系列的社会问题。人的主体性活动由于本身所具有的局限性 ,必然要受到各种主客观条件的制约 ,其中 ,道德是主体实践活动健康发展的重要条件。道德一方面制约人的行为 ,另一方面激励人们去追求和发展 ,为主体性的发挥提供更广阔的空间     

晚清政治小说的现代性

作为从西方引入的一种文学类型,晚清政治小说具有强烈的功利性与乌托邦色彩,是创作者用以开启民智的工具,主旨不在文体建设。尽管如此,作为古典文学向现代文学转变中的一个重要环节,晚清政治小说在“说教”中实蕴含着巨变,它在题材、叙事、传播等方面都呈现出了现代性意义,并影响着新文学的发展。
