This paper addresses the question of dissemination of nutritional knowledge in textbooks of household schools between 1890 and 1940. It starts by considering the nature of food recommendations in manuals that are used in Belgian household schools, and then deals with the sources that are referred to by those who give food advice, comparing the latter to the state of the art of nutritional knowledge. If, prior to 1925, school manuals referred to working-class households, paid attention to abundant and economical food, recommended meat, hardly cared about breakfast and connected food to health in a general way, the manuals of the late 1920s and 1930s discussed the average consumer, advised limited meat consumption, warned against unbalanced diets that could lead to specific diseases and recommended required amounts of calories and vitamins. Textbook authors rarely referred to their sources – and if they did, international names were hardly mentioned – which raises the question of the value of the information in these textbooks. Yet from the late 1920s onwards, more direct references were made to science and researchers, which may be linked to the strengthening of scientific authority within society.  相似文献

Abstract

Over the years, the publishing industry has packaged single works of printed resources with accompanying media such as 3.5″ disks, CD-ROMs, videocassettes, audiocassettes, or web sites. Recognizing the importance of the information provided in the accompanying media and the library clients' access to them, the Library of Rush University (LRU) at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center developed and implemented “mixed media” policies and procedures. This paper discusses issues and Rush Library responses to the issues surrounding the management of “mixed media” titles in selection, cataloging, labeling, housing, circulation, loading data files, and the publicity that puts them in the client's hands.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the dietary practices of soccer players of different ages. The diets of the members of four soccer teams (mean ages of 14.0, 15.0, 16.6 and 20.9 years, respectively) were examined. 为了解黑龙江省运动员的营养需求,以提供平衡膳食、科学营养的正确指导,促进其营养意识的提升,对黑龙江省冬夏季不同项目运动员进行日常饮食习惯问卷调查,发现多数运动员早餐营养摄入不足;夜宵摄入大量垃圾食品;大量饮用瓶装饮料代替喝水等一系列问题。建议运动员应多吃主食、多吃蔬果、多吃豆奶制品、少吃油炸食品、减少油脂及盐分摄入,并通过运动营养知识教育培训、健全膳食营养管理体系、配备专兼职营养师等一系列举措调整餐厅膳食配餐及营养结构,以提高运动员营养意识,保证日常饮食健康合理,为运动训练提供营养支持,为运动成绩提高夯实营养基础。  相似文献

目的统计和分析关于北京十多个郊区县农村居民健康状况、饮食习惯和食物消费特点的调查结果;结论不合理的膳食结构是一个突出的问题,这个问题产生的三个主要原因是食物种类不丰富、饮食习惯不科学、专业营养与健康知识缺乏;建议政府和相关部门应采取措施对北京农村居民进行健康教育并且引导他们科学饮食、调整膳食结构进而提高他们的生活质量。  相似文献

对选育的抗营养阻遏产酶黄孢原毛平革菌pc R5305菌株的产酶营养基质与环境条件进行了优化。实验结果表明pc R5305在37℃、初始p H4.5条件下,以酒石酸铵(富氮2.2g/L),葡萄糖(20g/L),Mn^2+(0.2g/L),Tween 80(1g/L)为主要成分的优质培养基中培养24h后添加5.2mmol/L苯甲醇,pc R5305的产酶活性最高。上述条件下,该菌接种后静置培养6 d,Li P活力可达到2013.59U/L,Mn P活力达到353.42U/L,分别提高了23.41%和27.97%。  相似文献

目的:了解备战奥运会国家队训练基地运动员餐厅食品供应和营养状况,掌握营养卫生方面存在的问题,为运动员餐厅优化膳食结构,有效保障国家队运动员的奥运备战工作提供合理解决方案。方法:采用问卷调查和称重法,分别对在运动员餐厅就餐的运动员、科研人员和教练员进行现场调查及其餐厅食物供应比例的构成进行计算。结果:运动员餐厅就餐环境及卫生状况良好,食物供应在主食、杂粮、奶制品和水果商供应比例适宜;导致运动员膳食营养不均衡的主要构成要素为:烹调用油和肉类供应过多状况;运动队没有配备专业运动营养师;运动员在训练中无加餐习惯及其餐厅无提供加餐的习惯。  相似文献

The introduction of colour supplements by three ‘quality’ newspapers during the 1960s was a key development in the British press during the decade, and was described by the editor of the Sunday Times as ‘perhaps the most successful single innovation in post-war journalism’. This article provides an overview of the advent of the colour supplements, explaining why they emerged when they did and developed in the manner they did, and exploring some of the difficulties and issues that attended their arrival. The article also demonstrates that sections of the British press were capable of taking advantage of changes in print and advertising culture brought about by the arrival of the post-war consumer society. However, the term ‘colour supplement’ became pejorative shorthand for the perceived vacuity of this new society, in part because of the tension that existed between the editorial and advertising content of these modish new publications. Consequently, the success of the colour supplement experiment was not universally celebrated.  相似文献
