The dynamics of connecting universities,non-governmental organizations and community members by means of academic projects directed at people in need

In this article we discuss an action research experience that took place from 2002 to 2015. We analyze the inception and progress of several project-based learning-centered academic courses that were aimed at developing the project management skills of graduate and undergraduate students. The experience involved approximately 1800 students from two universities and 40 community partners. The students developed real-life projects on behalf of institutions and non-governmental organizations located in the area that help people in need; we refer to these agencies as ‘community partners.’ We analyze the development of the course from a systemic perspective, making use of causal loop diagrams in order to understand the main driving dynamics. We discuss the results achieved by these projects and the benefits brought to the community partners. We also present testimony from the community partners themselves. We conclude by presenting the lessons we learned over the years we have been running this course.

Challenges of adopting constructive alignment in action learning education

This paper will critically examine how the two influential pedagogical approaches of action-based learning and constructive alignment relate to each other, and how they may differ in focus and basic assumptions. From the outset, they are based on similar underpinnings, with the student and the learning outcomes in the center. Drawing from experiences of developing an action-based master program in management with the integration of constructive alignment in its curriculum, the purpose is to reflect on what difficulties emerge when adopting both perspectives simultaneously. Constructive alignment works under the premises that the learning goals can and should be decided beforehand in order to align them with learning activities and examination forms. This view brings a challenge for programs where the means of the learning process is provided, while it is much up to the students’ own responsibilities to drive the learning toward some self-governing and internalized learning outcomes.     

普通高校学报零被引论文分析及应对措施——以《天津职业技术师范大学学报》为例

【目的】分析普通高校学报零被引论文产生的原因,为提升普通高校学报办刊质量和学术影响力提出对策建议。【方法】 采用文献计量方法,从作者群特征、学科分布、基金项目情况等对《天津职业技术师范大学学报》发表年限为6～10年的零被引论文进行统计与分析。【结果】作者群方面,零被引论文作者呈现年轻化、学术影响力偏低等特征;学科分布方面,零被引论文多来自非优势学科;项目资助方面,零被引论文获得的项目资助较少且层次较低。【结论】来稿质量难以保证、传播形式单一以及引用偏好和规范等问题,都导致普通高校学报零被引现象的产生。因此,应当通过丰富和优化稿件来源、提升稿件规范性、开辟多元化宣传推广途径、加强软硬件建设等方式,提升普通高校学报的综合实力和学术影响力,推动其良性发展。     

粤港科技合作的发展历程与成效研究

在广东大力实施创新驱动发展战略背景下,加强粤港科技合作对促进两地产业转型升级和提升区域竞争能力具有重要的现实意义和作用。按照粤港科技合作的发展演变过程,可将粤港科技合作划分为自发合作、政策引导和全面合作三个阶段,研究发现,在不同阶段,粤港科技合作的内在驱动力、合作模式及合作内容等均有很大差异,从最初的粗放式民间自发合作逐步发展到了现今的政府引导为主、市场发挥调配作用的全面合作阶段,并在科技制度创新、创新资源融合及产业转型升级等方面取得了重大发展成效,但是也存在诸如微观合作机制不健全、合作"渠道"不畅通、联合攻关能力不强等问题,最后针对现有问题提出了若干对策建议。

中国大陆高等工程教育专业认证经历了热烈的筹备、良好的开局、漫长的探索三个阶段。总体来看,我国大陆地区高等工程教育专业认证发展缓慢。究其原因,主要在于理论研究滞后、顶层设计重心偏移、认证机构缺乏、专业认证与工程师注册制度脱节等。在此基础上,本文展望了中国大陆高等工程教育专业认证的发展趋势。
