历史上,曾经影响中国财政收入之巨的池州铜冶监,由于多种因素,在其境内进行了三次大迁移。矿产资源、燃料、水运、用水、战争等都是池州铜冶监设置的主要制约因素。尽管每次设置与迁徙,都是诸种因素的综合考量,但每一次迁移的主导因素都会随历史而变化,有时甚至牵动了整个封建王朝主要精力分布。     

Mobilities at Play: The Local Embedding of Transnational Connections in West African Football Migration

Abstract

So far, academic contributions have widely framed football in Africa as a means for migration from a western point of view. At a time, they presented particular and one-dimensional understandings of transnational links in the realm of football migration between Africa and Europe. Macro-level perspectives which mostly focus on African exploitation and dependency and more recently those that take the players’ agency into account reproduce a Eurocentric view of the phenomenon, while disregarding its local perceptions in African settings. Thus, despite the recent shift from a macro- to a micro-level perspective there is still an analytical gap between the ambitions and experiences of migrating players and economic power relations at play on the one hand and the socio-cultural embedding of the transnational connections in football migration on the other. In order to understand why and how football mobilities are indeed linked to ‘the transnational’ in migration there is a need to localize the phenomenon and investigate how local understandings of migration and mobility are lived and expressed in a transnational sport like football. By taking data from fieldwork among West African football migrants, the paper thus shows the local embedding of transnational football migration practices in the West African context.     

Migration,Knowledge Transfer,and the Emergence of Australian Post-War Skiing: The Story of Charles William Anton

Skiing underwent substantial changes during the post-war years when the sport turned into a multi-billion dollar industry and a leisure activity for the masses. Despite its global nature and popularity, skiing in academic writing has not gained much recognition. This paper explores the role of knowledge transfer during the pioneering phase of post-war skiing in Australia. It describes the life of Charles William Anton, an Austrian refugee from the Anschluss who migrated to Sydney and subsequently became one of the founding fathers of Australian post-war skiing. The following pages show the multi-layered nature of skiing as a global sport by exemplifying how ideas spread from pre-war Europe to post-war Australia. The paper will also provide a case study about refugee knowledge transfer and the ‘productive process of absorption, adoption or rejection of knowledge’ that takes place once an idea has been introduced into a new environment.     

MARC Reborn: Migrating MARC Fixed Field Metadata into the Variable Fields

Despite calls over the past decade and a half for MARC to be replaced with an encoding standard that is more in keeping with current metadata practices, the current standard has evolved in such a way as to render many of the arguments by those who call for its demise moot. A further revision to the standard is proposed to address the one remaining problem with MARC so as to allow it to better serve the needs of information seekers for years to come.

Digital media and intergenerational migration: Nannies from the global south

Based on long-term ethnographic research on global nannies in Paris, this study explores the possibilities and limitations of digital media use for minorities, given that more and more young women from the global south engage with digital media. It will argue that transnational relations and practices are not necessarily and inevitably a progressive process, but pose new yet often risky opportunities more than freedoms, or foster a normalization of risk.

A Clean Sweep: The Tools and Processes of a Successful Metadata Migration

ABSTRACT

In 2016, the University of Utah's J. Willard Marriott Library migrated digital asset management systems from CONTENTdm, a vendor-provided solution from OCLC, to Solphal, a homegrown system utilizing several open source tools. During the migration, issues with metadata led to a large-scale metadata cleanup and standardization project, enhancing discovery in the new system. This article discusses the method used to determine which system would best meet the library's needs, methods for metadata migration, issues observed during migration, metadata management capabilities of the new system, and future plans for post-migration metadata cleanup and remediation to ensure that the metadata is consistent with best practices.     

出入境权许可性限制条款术语辨析
