Exploring a new silent test of phonological awareness

This is the preliminary study of a test of phonologicalawareness which does not require that subjects speak or hear toparticipate. The test was designed to minimize memory loads, and tomeasure speeded written naming and segmentation-by-sound. Spelling datacan also be collected. Subjects have 45 seconds to name items in each oftwo sets of line drawings. The average frequency of the names variesacross these sets. In the third set, subjects must name the items, andalso segment the written names into their constituent sounds. This taskwas administered to disabled and normally-reading adults, with twocommon tests of phonological awareness. The new test discriminatedbetween the readers as reliably as the benchmark tasks, correlating witheach better than they correlated with each other. The new test was thenadministered to deaf adults, who performed similarly to the disabled(hearing) readers. The data represent the first direct demonstration ofphonological abilities in deaf subjects, using a task designedspecifically for that purpose.     

基于Web模式可移植性训练系统的设计与实现

三层结构模式在Web应用系统中广泛应用，但也存在不足之处：系统对网络环境完全依赖，网络资源利用不平衡．因此，从一个基于Web模式的训练教学系统的设计和实现过程，对Web三层结构提出了调整改进措施，在设计中构建了具有一定逻辑功能的Web页面数据单元，从而实现数据的重用性和系统设计的可移植性，并有效地解决了Web三层结构系统的不足之处．     

顺铂联合放疗治疗晚期子宫颈癌的临床分析

目的：评价顺铂辅助化疗联合放射治疗晚期子宫颈癌的疗效。方法：同期对比分析经放疗加顺铂化疗（放化组）60例和单纯放疗（单放组）60例Ⅲ期子宫颈癌患者5年生存率、局部控制率、远处转移率和并发症。结果：5年生存率放化组63.33%,单放组43.33%（P〈0.05）。局部控制率放化组80%,单放组60%（P〈0.05）。远处转移率放化组43.33%,单放组41.66%（P〉0.05）。放射性直肠炎：放化组13.33%,单放组10.00%（P〉0.05）。放射性膀胱炎放化组8.33%,单放组10.00%（P〉0.05）。无因治疗而引起的死亡发生。结论：放射治疗联合顺铂化疗能提高Ⅲ期子宫颈癌患者局部控制率和5年生存率,未改善远处转移率,副作用能耐受。     

利用WinSock实现实时通信的新方法

通过Winsock编程技术，实现了时基于TCPAP协议的面向连接的流方式套接字网络通信程序的设计，阐述了在线实时通信的技术支持，给出了利用VB中的Winsock控件编写服务器端、客户端通信程序的基本思路。     

基于C/S模式的通用题库管理系统

分析了题库建设的必要性及以往题库系统中存在的问题，介绍了校园网上基于Client／Server模式的通用题库管理系统的结构设计及实现技术。     

基于Web的数据库系统研究与开发

从阐述数据库应用系统体系结构入手，分析了客户机／服务器（C／S)模式与浏览器／服务器(B／S)模式的各自优劣，基于web的数据库应用系统开发模式比客户机／服务器模式性能更好。设计开发了基于web的某武装部信息管理系统．     

基于C/S模式的社会保险档案管理信息系统的设计与实现

结合社会保险领域档案管理工作的实际,以湖北省荆州市社会保险事业局安泰社保服务中心档案管理信息系统为例,提出了一个面向社会保险事业档案管理的将人工智能技术、决策分析技术和数据库技术相结合的智能化管理信息系统的模型,介绍了基于C/S(客户机/服务器)模式网络MIS档案管理信息系统应用于社会保险领域的结构和功能,分析了网络环境中系统实现的一些设计策略,并给出了社会保险档案管理信息系统的具体实现。     

Enhanced teaching and student learning through a simulator-based course in chemical unit operations design

This paper illustrates a teaching technique used in computer applications in chemical engineering employed for designing various unit operation processes, where the students learn about unit operations by designing them. The aim of the course is not to teach design, but rather to teach the fundamentals and the function of unit operation processes through simulators. A case study presenting the teaching method was evaluated using student surveys and faculty assessments, which were designed to measure the quality and effectiveness of the teaching method. The results of the questionnaire conclusively demonstrate that this method is an extremely efficient way of teaching a simulator-based course. In addition to that, this teaching method can easily be generalised and used in other courses. A student's final mark is determined by a combination of in-class assessments conducted based on cooperative and peer learning, progress tests and a final exam. Results revealed that peer learning can improve the overall quality of student learning and enhance student understanding.
