Can students with dyslexia be effectively supported in the diversity of an international school setting?

In the diversity of an international school, many children for whom dyslexia is a barrier to literacy skill development may not have formally been identified as dyslexic; however, it does not mean that their needs do not require to be met. This paper considers the elements necessary to support the learners with dyslexia. Teaching Reading Through Spelling, which is a synthetic phonics-based APSL (alphabetic, phonic, syllabic, linguistic) programme, was used, 3 × 45 minutes a week, in an international school setting. The students (N = 12) made 2.0 years spelling, and 2.8 years reading improvement in one year. In addition to selecting an appropriate teaching programme, successful additional elements were found to be careful planning for both short and long term, effective communication and involvement of all participants.     

Declining quality of Nigerian university graduates： Revitalizing quality assurance through foreign agencies＇ support

Increasing and uninterrupted supply of high-level manpower has become a fundamental pre-requisite for social and economic development of any nation. Hence, the direction of the university education in Nigeria is intensifying and diversifying its programmes for the development of high-level manpower within the context of the needs of the nation. To achieve this, the government of Nigeria initiated higher education policy reforms that intended to bring its university system more in line with international good practices. It is however disheartening to note that the quality of university graduates in Nigeria has continued to decline due to inadequate funding. The focus of this paper is to examine how foreign agencies＇ support would help to increase the quality of Nigerian university graduates.     

我国顶岗支教研究综述

顶岗支教正在我国兴起,通过澄清顶岗支教的概念,阐述了实行顶岗支教的理论基础,列举了顶岗支教的典型案例,总结顶岗支教的意义、特点及模式研究的共同点,对我国顶岗支教实习中存在的问题进行分析并提出相应的建议。     

海西县域经济发展与金融支持研究

加快县域经济发展对于海西经济区建设和闽台经济合作具有重大意义。通过分析我国普遍存在的县域金融抑制,以漳州市县域经济为样本,说明当前海西县域经济发展仍需强有力的金融支持,提出了在非完全竞争条件下深化海西县域金融改革的政策措施。     

咸宁县级电大发展的几点思考

咸宁六县电大在近三十年的发展历程中,几起几落,到今天已逐渐把握了形势变化,明确了自身主业和发展定位,成为地方远程学习中心、继续教育中心以及终身教育体系中的骨干力量。通过强化管理、优化服务、立足主业、开拓创新、把握契机、寻求政策,县级电大完善了内涵建设,整体效益多元发展,保持了规模发展可持续。但受困于定位不清、扶持不力、思想不明、认识不够、硬件不强、软件不优、机制不灵、体制不活等因素的制约,县级电大的发展一度滞后,在未来科学可持续的发展道路上,县级电大迫切需要一些新的对策与思路。     

基于网络的形成性考核障碍与对策

远程开放教育注重形成性考核。开展基于网络的形成性考核试点工作,以加强课程形成性考核和终结性考试的整体设计,促进考核与教学过程的紧密结合,促进学生自主学习,提高教学质量。针对目前学生参与课程形成性考核面临的个别化学习、计算机应用能力、自主选课和情感障碍问题,应从入学教育、技术支持、学习过程跟踪、学习策略研究、考核评价中的情感设计、合作式学习等方面加强学习支持服务。     

地市级电大学习支持服务管理的探索与实践

学习支持服务是远程教育的重要组成部分,构建强有力的学生学习支持服务体系,是现代远程教育新的教学模式能否有效运行的基础性工作。地市级电大学生学习支持服务体系的建立,应当体现以学生为主体,有利于学生个性化自主学习,其中关键是做好“服务”工作。本文拟结合我校开放教育试点情况就地市级电大学生学习支持服务管理略做探讨。     

Culture of Spirulina platensis in human urine for biomass production and O2 evolution

Attempts were made to culture Spirulina platensis in human urine directly to achieve biomass production and O2 evolution, for potential application to nutrient regeneration and air revitalization in life support system. The culture results showed that Spirulinaplatensis grows successfully in diluted human urine, and yields maximal biomass at urine dilution ratios of 140-240. Accumulation of lipid and decreasing of protein occurred due to N deficiency. O2 release rate of Spirulina platensis in diluted human urine was higher than that in Zarrouk medium.

中国公共图书馆没有贵族化,对其工作应予公正评价。不要把为大众服务与为生产、科研服务和开展特色服务对立起来。图书馆经费短缺的主要责任在政府。“图书馆精神”是应该永远发扬的。中国图书馆员是发扬了“图书馆精神”的。公共图书馆的工作有缺失,但不是主流。参考文献4。
