以H省两所高中的1358名学生为调查对象,采用结构方程模型考察社会说服与数学自我效能的关系及其内在作用机制——掌握经验的中介效应和内在价值的调节效应.结果表明:(1)社会说服正向预测数学自我效能;(2)内在价值对社会说服与数学自我效能之间的关系具有调节效应,即社会说服对数学自我效能的影响随着内在价值的降低而减弱;(3)内在价值的调节效应以掌握经验为中介变量.研究揭示了社会说服与数学自我效能之间关系的内在机制及其个体差异,丰富了数学自我效能来源的成果,对避免社会说服在学生数学学习过程中的消极影响具有理论意义.  相似文献

The relationship between perspectivism and oral argumentation is explored by observing eight triads of high school and university students discussing an environmental dilemma, with the aim of convincing their peers. No differences are appreciated between high school and university students regarding the frequency and duration of perspectivistic levels of discourse. When analysing such levels in the whole sample, significant differences are revealed in favour of the me (defence and explanation of own perspective) and other as an obstacle (demolition of others’ positions) levels, compared to the other strategy (legitimate persuasion) and us (search for agreement) levels. Therefore, argumentative discourse is anchored in a reasoned defense of one’s own perspective as well as in the attack on others, displaying a limited perspectivistic development. In relation to the interaction sequences, symmetrical responses are observed towards the me and other as obstacle levels, both in high school and university students, and also towards us in university students. The potential of perspectivism to improve expert argumentation is discussed.  相似文献

Abstract

Social media and news use arguably contribute to the prevalence of contentious politics because individuals may express dissent through their social networks as they consume news. This study seeks to test whether individuals might be more open to political persuasion in this context, especially if they are exposed to political disagreement or discuss politics in a civil manner. Relying on survey data from the UK, results based on a moderated moderation model show that (a) social media news use predicts political persuasion on social media (direct effects) and, (b) discussion disagreement and civil reasoning moderate this relationship in two-way and three-way interactions.  相似文献

This article examines the corporate branding efforts of Singapore's publicly funded higher education institutions within a context of neoliberal marketization. Adopting a discourse-analytic perspective, it examines the kind of branding approaches employed by Singapore's universities and polytechnics, and how these approaches are realized discursively in their brand artefacts. Three main approaches are identified and discussed. Referred to as (i) characterizing the brand; (ii) positioning the brand and (iii) personalizing the brand, they are constituted by a variety of language devices and discursive strategies such as positive evaluation, colloquial language and the use of particular metaphors, and represent a spread of approaches ranging from the more fact/reason-based to the experience/emotion-oriented. While the institutions employ a range of approaches, the findings of the analysis suggest that experience/emotion-oriented approaches are better elaborated in the artefacts, and gaining traction in the sector as a whole.  相似文献

This study examined the relationship between hemispheric processing of complex messages and message acceptance. In particular the research sought to answer several questions regarding the processing and interpretation of persuasive messages and message sources. Based on the results of this research it was concluded that (1) the brain's right and left hemispheres, when isolated from one another, process information according to a particular “style,” (2) that semantic properties of language influence hemispheric processing, and (3) that message sources are perceived differently by the right and left hemispheres. Potential implications for the study of communication in terms of message style and acceptability, language intensity, perceptions of source, and perceptions of threat conclude this analysis.  相似文献

This column discusses persuasion as a way to change women''s ideas about safe, healthy birth. This study analyzed persuasive styles and tactics used in the United Nations General Assembly Debate speeches by Arabic and English speaking leaders. Past work has identified three persuasive styles: analogical, presentational, and quasilogical. The literature suggests that Arabs use analogical and presentational styles, while the “West” prefers the quasilogical style. Our results indicate that Arabs used the quasilogical style more often than English speakers. All speakers drew upon most of the tactics identified to strengthen their arguments. Finally, there has been a shift in the usage of some tactics for both sets of speakers over 30 years.  相似文献
