Rebuilding a High School Library Collection After Hurricane Katrina

SUMMARY

After Hurricane Katrina struck, many friends, fellow librarians at all levels, alumni, and others came to help in our rebuilding efforts at Benjamin Franklin High School. I developed an action plan that covers stages in the rebuilding process. It is extremely important that a librarian remain focused and flexible in all rebuilding efforts. The plan, procedures, process, needs assessment, and current educational, library, and technological trends are important to successfully rebuild a library. Librarians faced with any kind of disaster are encouraged to use the steps presented as a guide or modify them in rebuilding other libraries.     

Evaluating Usage and Impact of Networked Electronic Resources through Point-of-Use Surveys: A MINES for Libraries™ Study

This article presents a literature review of methods for evaluating serials, or networked electronic resources, usage, and focuses on point-of-use intercept Web surveys. In the context of the MINES for Libraries protocol administered by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and derived from the indirect cost study methodologies developed by Franklin and Plum, the article discusses a variety of point-of-use Web survey implementation methodologies used in libraries. It discusses sampling plan options and articulates issues related to the mandatory and optional versions of the point-of-use Web survey protocols with an emphasis on nonresponse bias. The article provides a set of methods that libraries can use to continue to evaluate their networked electronic services in innovative ways to better serve the research, teaching, and learning needs of their users.     

基于情景分析的城市规划资源环境问题研究——以天津滨海新区为例

本文利用情景分析预测城市规划可能产生的资源、环境影响,构建了以综合情景和分情景为基础、定性—定量相结合的情景分析模式,并应用于天津滨海新区发展及其未来能源问题的预测和评价。案例证明该模式能够很好的解决城市发展环境影响预测中的不确定性问题,评价城市规划的资源、环境影响,为制定预防、减缓的对策和措施提供支持,最终促进城市的可持续发展。

婺剧文化旅游资源开发与利用研究

在当今的世界旅游发展趋势中，地域文化旅游已渐成热点。独具地方民俗风情魅力的地方戏曲文化是地域文化的重要代表。本文根据婺剧文化的特点及优势，借鉴其他地方的成功做法，提出了开发、利用婺剧文化旅游资源的三点设想．即建造婺剧博物馆；定时定点演出精品婺剧节目；开发婺剧文化旅游纪念品。

新建地方本科院校的应用型人才培养方案设计应坚持“地方性、应用型”的人才培养定位,树立“实基础、适口径、重应用、强素能”的设计理念。构建相对完整、较为系统的理论教学体系,以夯实学生的学科基础、适当拓宽专业口径;构建“三层次三结合”的实践教学体系,培养学生的实践能力和创新精神;构建素质拓展教育结构体系,不断提高学生的知识运用能力和参与意识、责任意识。

建筑识图与构造课程教学改革的核心任务就是学生应用能力的培养。从高职建筑技术专业岗位职业能力入手,结合基于工作过程导向的职业能力培养要求,从社会需求出发,对能力培养目标、内容、方法、考核评价等进行探讨性研究,以突出学生应用能力培养。

Bridging the Digital and the Physical User Experience: Analysis of Academic Library Floor Plans

Abstract

In library user experience (UX) literature, physical and digital spaces are often studied separately. In academic libraries, different stakeholders often control and operate the logistics of each set of spaces. Additionally, library UX studies seldom consider the physical experiences of users beyond the borders of library websites or buildings. Our survey of 37?U.S. academic library websites found that 97% had some kind of digital representations of physical spaces – predominantly floor plans. A content analysis of those floor plans found that many were poorly designed, and identified two specific themes: non-accessible content and a lack of comprehensive information to facilitate the user journey. This paper offers several recommendations for building more accessible digital representations of physical spaces for the library website. These trends and recommendations are intended to be instructive for managers of library websites and elucidate larger themes about academic libraries.     

企业集团内部建立财务公司之我见

阐述了企业集团发展中遇到的财务难题 :( 1 )资金缺口大 ;( 2 )集团核心筹资能力差 ;( 3)集团内部成员单位结算机制不完善 ;( 4 )企业集团核心层投资主体的功能难以发挥。探讨了企业集团建立财务公司的必然性及财务公司发展过程中存在的问题。提出了搞好财务公司的三点设想 :( 1 )对财务公司的组建条件加以限定 ,避免其盲目发展 ;( 2 )对符合条件的财务公司给予适当的支持 ;( 3)在组建财务公司时应注意发挥其它金融渠道的作用。
