Electronic platforms and two-sided markets: A side-switching analysis

We define electronic platforms as two-sided markets in which two groups of agents – sellers and buyers – can switch from one side of the market to the other. Using a duopoly model, we interpret equilibrium fees and profits in terms of rewards and penalties, relative to the equilibrium without side-switching. We establish that if the group with the highest side-switching probability has the lowest externality parameter, platforms make more profit with side-switching. It is also shown that agents' heterogeneity is favorable to platform profitability.

In this part we describe various types of sensors used in remote sensing and suitable observation platforms for placing sensors. We then discuss how to extract information from remote sense images. We conclude the article with a look at the future.     

What Does Wiki Reveal About the Knowledge Processing Strategies of School Pupils?

On the basis of one teaching project carried out in a school, this article discusses collaborative writing in wiki platforms. It aims to find out what wiki reveals about pupils’ knowledge construction, creation, and division and their collaborative writing skills. In this project, wiki is treated as a useful tool for analyzing these processes because it gives us the possibility of studying those elements and stages of educative writing that are normally hidden from the teacher or researcher’s eye. Also, it shows us the interaction between pupils. The theoretical background of the project lies in collaborative writing and writing research.     

基于大数据云平台的深度学习预测模型研究

近年来,随着云计算、大数据等技术的迅猛发展,如何快速、有效地从纷繁复杂的数据中获取有价值的信息成为当前大数据应用的关键问题。为此,对基于大数据云平台的深度学习预测模型进行研究,以对未来序列数据走势进行有效预测。首先对几种基于深度学习的长短序列预测模型进行对比分析,分析其与传统预测模型的区别及优势,提出一种加入 dropout 的轻量级 GRU 预测模型。采用代表性天气数据作为实验对象,实验结果表明,该方法的实验预测指标 MAE（平均绝对误差）的平均值相比传统预测方法有所提高,从而有效验证了轻量级 GRU 预测方法的正确性与有效性。     

Digital platforms and transformational entrepreneurship during the COVID-19 crisis

There has been an increased usage and popularity of digital platforms during the COVID-19 crisis. This has resulted in many new types of digital platforms emerging that are tied to specific localities and based on emergent needs. This article presents the results of a study on the ClickforVic digital platform that was started during the first 2020 lockdown in Melbourne, Australia as a way for country farmers to connect with urban consumers. The study is premised on transformational entrepreneurship theory that enables a focus on the societal changes that have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. A semi-structured in-depth interview approach was utilised to understand how farm entrepreneurs perceived the digital platform and how this contributed to transformational entrepreneurship outcomes. The study is amongst the first to incorporate a digital platform, farm entrepreneurship, transformational entrepreneurship and COVID-19 perspective. The findings suggest that farm entrepreneurs are driven by financial, social and community goals during a crisis that influences their usage of digital platforms. As a consequence, the findings contribute to managerial practice and policy debate by highlighting the way digital platforms can be used in times of crisis to produce transformational entrepreneurship outcomes.     

The digital transformation of innovation and entrepreneurship: Progress,challenges and key themes

The emergence of novel and powerful digital technologies, digital platforms and digital infrastructures has transformed innovation and entrepreneurship in significant ways. Beyond simply opening new opportunities for innovators and entrepreneurs, digital technologies have broader implications for value creation and value capture. Research aimed at understanding the digital transformation of the economy needs to incorporate multiple and cross-levels of analysis, embrace ideas and concepts from multiple fields/disciplines, and explicitly acknowledge the role of digital technologies in transforming organizations and social relationships. To help realize this research agenda, we identify three key themes related to digitization—openness, affordances, and generativity—and, outline broad research issues relating to each. We suggest that such themes that are innate to digital technologies could serve as a common conceptual platform that allows for connections between issues at different levels as well as the integration of ideas from different disciplines/areas. We then summarize the contributions of the 11 papers presented in this Special Issue relating them to one or more of these themes and outlining their implications for future research.

“普通教育有高考,职业教育有技能大赛”。历经了五届电子类职业技能大赛,其中承办了2010年至2012年三届电子类职业技能大赛,积累了丰富的经验,对高职院校学生专业技能竞赛与激励机制进行了积极地探索与实践。通过不断地探索与实践,深刻地认识到只有不断完善技能竞赛的选拔和表彰奖励的激励机制,才能更好地促使一大批高技能人才脱颖而出。因此,紧紧围绕高技能人才更好地进行培养、评价、使用和激励,构建了支撑电子类职业技能大赛的六平台建设系统。
