专业英语阅读课教学内容与形式的研究--外语系教学改革立项初探(上)

阅读是人类获取知识的重要途径。本文以外语系教学改革立项课题“专业英语阅读课教学内容与形式的研究”为中心，以该课程及立项的目的为出发点，分析了目前专业英语阅读课存在的问题，总结并实施了一系列改革方案，初步取得了教学效果，提高了学生的语言实践能力：     

机械原理与机械设计大作业改革探索与实践

机械原理与机械设计是工科高校机械类专业的重要基础课程,对于学科发展与人才培养具有重要作用。在传统的课程教学模式中,对实践教学环节的重视程度往往不够,难以适应当前新工科和工程教育专业认证背景下的教学要求。针对该问题,分析并探讨了机械原理与机械设计大作业设置的必要性以及改革的方法与策略,以期通过大作业改革提高机械类专业学生的综合分析能力、创新设计能力和解决实际工程问题的能力。     

Creating a distinctive business career outcome programme

This article describes how a small private business school, accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, reengineered its career services programme to become a premier programme in the United States. Drawing on theory of involvement, the research gives business schools a strategy to improve business career placement through capital support, student engagement, corporate engagement, alumni engagement, faculty engagement and continuous improvement initiatives. Further, two major outcome categories (i.e. supportive outcomes and end outcomes) are identified and various measures are discussed. Supportive outcomes indicate growth in the number of on-campus business recruiting career events, high internship evaluations by internship supervisors and significant increase in students’ satisfaction with career services. End outcomes provide strong evidence for placement rate success with a 98% career placement rate for the past four years, significant increase on mean starting salaries of graduates across the years following the implementation of the strategic changes, improved quality of positions attained by graduates, and professional success of alumni in their positions. The impact of strategic changes on school ranking, enrolment and donor support are also discussed. The research proposes a model of student career success and identifies various elements influencing the success of such programmes.     

高填方路基分层铺设土工格栅验算方法探讨

高等级公路的施工中，在高填方路段分层铺设高强土工格栅，较好地解决了路基沉陷问题。但铺设土工格栅的滑动稳定性验算，仍待进一步探讨。对计算公式、格栅层数、铺设要求进行了讨论。     

软件项目管理的思考

软件项目的管理问题几乎已成为决定软件项目成败的关键。本文结合实践开发经验,试图从分析软件项目引入项目管理的必要性入手,探讨影响软件项目管理的关键因素,以及软件项目管理的一般方法,并针对软件项目管理过程中常见的几个误区,进行剖析并提出解决思路。     

EFL teachers’ perceptions of English language policy at the elementary level in Taiwan

Due in large part to the trends towards economic globalization, English has become the most widely disseminated and ubiquitous international language. The purpose of the study was to investigate what Taiwan’s EFL teachers at the elementary level believe about the policy of English as a compulsory subject and how they perceive the benefits and obstacles of the policy’s implementation. Ten elementary English teachers in Tainan City and its suburban areas participated in this study. Data were collected through teachers’ interviews, classroom observation and document analysis. Results found that all ten teachers agreed with the policy for English as a compulsory subject at the elementary level. They observed both positive and negative sides of this top‐down policy. Classroom observation and interview data revealed that EFL teachers had to plan their English classes with the constraints on a large class of students with mixed levels of proficiency, limited teaching hours and resources. Parents’ expectations of and attitudes towards English learning also became an obstacle.     

论学术期刊栏目形态策划与编辑分类体系的建构

学术期刊特色栏目的策划和科学的编辑分类思想理论体系的建构,在推进学术期刊张扬自我学术优势和创造品牌的过程中占有十分重要的地位。当代我国学术期刊的学术栏目形态策划和栏目编辑分类思想理论发展趋势呈现出以下趋势:从综合性栏目→特色栏目→专题栏目,在整合的基础上由宽泛、分散向具体、专门与精细化递进,由粗放型栏目编辑分类向创造集约型、品牌型栏目编辑分类转换。学术刊物栏目的生成机理大致可分为原生形态、依托形态和争鸣形态。衡量栏目水平的标准包括:充分发挥刊物自身的独特优势且具有不可替代的特色,由栏目突破带动期刊整体的自觉优化,栏目的学术影响力和对社会发展的贡献等。     

"地下工程测量"实习基地建设的探索与实践

"地下工程测量"是河南理工大学测绘工程专业一门重要的专业课。针对新形势下该课程实习所出现的问题,从课程的教学、实习特点出发,依据人防工程平战结合战略,充分利用人防工程,建成了具有别具特色的"地下工程测量"实习基地。加强了实践性教学环节,提高了教学质量,带动了教师们的教学科研水平,拓展了人防工程平战结合的新思路,收到了良好的效果。     

关于“项目兴市”的若干思考

抢抓“西部大开发”机遇，加快区域经济发展，必须有符合实际的发展“项目”；必须着力改善投资“软”、“硬”环境；必须认真研究项目的“生命周期”；必须加强项目监督管理，以尽快形成十堰新的经济增长点。     

Fluid reasoning,working memory and planning ability in assessment of risk for mathematical difficulties

ABSTRACT

The demands on mathematical problem-solving have increased in almost all school systems internationally and may constitute a barrier for children with special educational needs (SEN). This study explored the role of fluid reasoning (FR), working memory (WM) and complex executive function of planning (EF) in children (N = 62) referred for assessment of SEN, and specifically of risk for mathematical difficulties (MD). Performances on FR, WM and complex EF of planning were used to predict risk for MD. Results showed that planning ability predicted children at risk for MD, beyond FR or WM ability, when comparing with children not at risk for MD. It was concluded that assessing the complex EF of planning in addition to FR and WM ability is crucial in identifying children at risk for MD. The importance of understanding how planning ability affects children’s mathematical problem-solving is discussed, in relation to assessment and teaching practices.
