多媒体阅览室拓展少儿网络学习教育功能的思考——以柳州市图书馆多媒体阅览室为例

互联网承载和传播着大量的信息和数据,其中有不少涉及色情、暴力、诈骗等不健康信息。以柳州市图书馆多媒体阅览室为例,就如何正确引导少儿读者利用网络进行学习,拓展公共图书馆多媒体阅览室的网络学习教育功能阐述了自己的想法。     

Expanding opportunities to learn to support inclusive education through drama‐enhanced literacy practices

This study examines how the Early Years Educators at Play (EYEPlay) professional development (PD) programme supported inclusive learning settings for all children, including English language learners and students with disabilities. The EYEPlay PD model is a year‐long programme that integrates drama strategies into literacy practices within real‐classroom contexts. Inclusive education refers to ensuring equal opportunities to access and participation in learning activities for all students. Cultural‐historical activity theory was used to understand and unpack the drama practices. Twelve semi‐structured focus group interviews were conducted with 19 preschool teachers. The data were analysed via constant‐comparative and interpretive methods. The study findings showed that EYEPlay PD practices enhanced inclusive learning settings for diverse groups of students by increasing access and expanding opportunities to learn, and supporting a positive learning environment.

[目的/意义]深入探究和学习习近平的读书思想，把握其与读书相关的思想精髓与思想价值，进而影响和推动阅读型、学习型、书香型社会的建设和发展。[方法/过程]根据习近平关于读书的系列重要论述，结合其自身长期不辍的读书经历，以人们普遍关注的关于读书的3个基本问题："为什么读书""怎样读书"和"读什么书"为纬度，系统研究和阐释习近平读书思想。[结果/结论]习近平读书思想的分析与把握，对指导全民读书活动的开展以及阅读推广活动的深入推进具有重要的意义。     

‘It's The Catcher in the Rye… He said it was the kind of book you made your own': Finding Holden in Contemporary YA Literature

Published in 1951,The Catcher in the Rye encapsulated teenage angst. Some time ago David Belbin mused about the influence of Catcher on the proliferation and popularity of YA literature. Salinger's recent death has sparked a renewed interest in his work and more attention on Holden and his inheritors. This article discusses how five recent adolescent novels, with male protagonists, mirror Holden's adolescent paralysis. They exist in a liminal state between childhood and adulthood, attempting to understand the phonies around them. These protagonists help define the nature of the ‘lost’ adolescent in the current golden age of YA literature.

Increasing engagement of students with learning disabilities in mathematical problem‐solving and discussion

Engagement in problem‐solving and mathematical discussion is critical for learning mathematics. This research review describes a gap in the literature surrounding engagement of students with Learning Disabilities in standards‐based mathematical classrooms. Taking a sociocultural view of engagement as participation in mathematical practices, this review found that students with LD were supported towards equal engagement in standards‐based mathematics through multi‐modal curriculum, consistent routines for problem‐solving, and teachers trained in Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching. Using this small set of studies (7), we identify the need to deepen the engagement of students with LD in mathematical problem‐solving and discussion. This review concludes with implications for teaching and learning.     

SOS儿童村孤儿教育初探

SOS儿童村自1985年进入中国,已经是家喻户晓。其独特的抚养方式,重新给予了孩子家庭的温暖。让他们在离开儿童村后能够真正融入社会、独立生活,是国际SOS组织提出的培养、教育孩子成功的检验标准。德育,是SOS儿童村孩子教育的主体工作内容,本文就齐齐哈尔SOS儿童村德育的具体实践加以分析、总结,对我国10所儿童村中的全体SOS孩子的德育具有现实意义。     

基于微信辅助下的成人本科阶段英语阅读能力提升实践

分析了成人本科阶段学生在英语阅读理解方面存在的问题,采用“微信打卡”小程序和“微信公众号”帮助学生每天坚持阅读技能训练。参与的学生可以进行文字、语音、图片等方式的打卡操作,分享自己完成该篇阅读的时长、答案、收获、困惑等,教师次日在“微信公众号”中发布阅读理解的答案、译文、解析、阅读技巧等,并根据学生的提问进行个别化的辅导。实践证明,基于微信辅助下的阅读方式能有效帮助成人学生坚持阅读训练,分享阅读心得,提高阅读技能,提升阅读兴趣。     

English in Education: the first fifty years

On the fiftieth anniversary of the first publication of English in Education, this article reviews the journal's contribution to research and practice in the teaching of English. A thematic analysis based on close study of a sample of volumes is arranged chronologically (to show the development of ideas and practices) and thematically in terms of language mode (speaking; writing; reading, including new technologies). The article argues that the journal archive can shed light on the educational past in ways that can effectively inform the educational present and help to set agenda for the future.     

Exploring an intervention’s impact on everyday school activities

The focus of this paper is on a group of pupils with reading and writing difficulties who have been participating in an intervention study using assistive technology. That intervention study contained supervised training sessions with reading and writing tasks using an iPad with special supportive applications. The current study is a qualitative investigation of whether there has been any transfer from the intervention, to the pupils’ everyday school activities. Interviews with pupils and their teachers and observations during classroom lectures have been used to collect data. The results show that the pupils were positive to the assistive technology (the applications on the iPads), they found the apps easy to learn how to use and they appreciated the benefits they could give. Even so, only a few of the pupils had found use for and continued to use the tools after the intervention period finished. Possible reasons are that when the novelty wore off, students reverted to their usual study habits and that older students with many teachers and different classrooms were less able to adapt to using the apps. To improve transfer, it is suggested to introduce assistive technology earlier to students, in the younger grades, before study habits have been formed and to inform teachers about the use of AT in the classroom, including what is available and how it can benefit students.
