车载卫星天线快速找星控制系统的研究与设计

为了在运动的载体上能接收卫星信号,综合应用GPS接收机、电子罗盘HMR3000、信标接收机等多种新技术,设计一种由STC12C5A60S2单片机组成的快速卫星天线找星与跟踪控制系统,并阐述了各部分的工作原理、设计方法与软件算法的实现过程。经检测证明该系统能快速、准确的寻找到卫星。     

Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase C677T polymorphism predicts response and time to progression to gemcitabine-based chemotherapy for advanced non-small cell lung cancer in a Chinese Han population

Objective:The aim of this study was to evaluate the association between the methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase(MTHFR) C677T excision repair cross-complementation group 1(ERCC1) genetic polymorphisms and the clinical efficacy of gemcitabine-based chemotherapy in advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods:A total of 135 chemonaive patients with unresectable advanced NSCLC were treated with gemcitabine/platinum regimens.The polymorphisms of MTHFR C677T,ERCC1 C8092A,and ERCC1 C118T were genotyped using the TaqMan methods.Results:The overall response rate was 28.9%.Patients with MTHFR CC genotype had a higher rate of objective response than patients with variant genotype(TT or CT)(41.2% versus 19.1%,P=0.01).Median time to progression(TTP) of patients with MTHFR CC genotype was longer than that of patients with variant genotype(7.6 months versus 5.0 months,P=0.003).No significant associations were obtained between ERCC1 C118T and C8092A polymorphisms and both response and survival.Conclusions:Our data suggest the value of MTHFR C677T polymorphism as a possible predictive marker of response and TTP in advanced NSCLC patients treated with gemcitabine/platinum.     

The American Filter

This study explored the television viewing habits of a cohort of Asian Indians who migrated to the US more than 40 years ago. This cohort eventually became acculturated into watching Indian television via the satellite dish. The study used the integrative communication theory and examined how two concepts of the theory relate to adaptation: enculturation and acculturation. The study produced findings that described how these Asian Indians used American television to acculturate to the US, but used American television as a filter through which they judged Indian television and distinguished between what they believed to be good and bad programming.     

Text Messaging the Reference Desk: Using Upside Wireless' SMS-to-Email to Extend Reference Service

The author discusses “Text a Librarian,” a short message service-to-email service provided via Upside Wireless, Inc., a Canadian telecommunications provider. Any user of the University of Virginia Library who has a cell phone and text messaging capability can send a text message to a local phone number provided by Upside Wireless. Upside's “virtual SMS channel,” which forwards the message to the Library's reference e-mail account. Librarians then respond to the query with an e-mail message that the user receives as a text message on his or her cell phone. This article describes the process by which a library developed the idea for the service and decided to contract with Upside, as well as staffing for the service and the challenges, successes, and possible new directions. A brief survey of the SMS reference landscape is included.     

Distance Education in the Rural K-12 Environment

Abstract

A small rural school in Idaho tried various forms of distance education to broaden the range of subjects offered to students. It gave up on satellite-based coursework because of high cost and synchronization problems. Correspondence courses solved the synchronization problem, but still required expensive adult supervision to keep students on task. IP-based videoconferencing appeared to promise lower costs and better synchronization, but in practice it proved to be difficult to implement and exhausting for course teachers. The school began to view videoconferencing in terms of its enrichment and collaboration values. The Internet, together with other distance education technologies, may one day erase the educational disadvantages of rural isolation. They also promise to make lifelong learning the expected norm.     

空间通信系统模拟与QoS性能的研究

空间通信链路由于其固有的特点（长传播延迟、可变延迟和高误码率）,对空间通信的服务质量QoS(Quality of Services)提出了新的要求和挑战。提出了空间通信系统模拟的体系结构,实现了基于卫星工具包STK(Satellite Toolkit)的空间通信系统的模拟,并开发了空间通信系统的QoS性能测量软件,同时对QoS性能进行了分析。     

细胞信号转导网络模型简化的一种混合推理方法

细胞信号转导网络的结构复杂,规模庞大,建立的数学模型维数高,变量多,具有高度非线性。在复杂系统分析设计中,模型简化始终是主要的研究问题之一。提出一种基于混合推理方法的模型简化策略,利用代谢控制分析、敏感性分析、主元分析和通量分析相结合,降低系统模型维数,减少生化反应个数,简化系统结构。以NF-κB信号转导网络作为研究对象,原模型由24个常微分方程和64个参数组成,简化模型则包括17个常微分方程,1个代数方程和52个参数。仿真结果表明,简化模型能够准确地预测系统的动态特性,为模型分析和参数辨识提供方便,验证了模型简化策略的有效性。     

不同持续时间低氧后训练对大鼠海马组织细胞凋亡的影响

目的:观察不同持续时间低氧后训练对大鼠海马组织细胞凋亡的影响,探讨低氧训练对海马神经细胞凋亡的影响,为科学地指导运动员进行低氧训练提供实验依据。方法:雄性SD大鼠60只,随机分为6组,每组10只,正常对照组(A组),低氧8 h组(B组),低氧12h组(C组),训练对照组(D组),低氧8 h训练组(E组),低氧12 h训练组(F组)。采用零坡度跑台的训练方式,对D、E和F三组以25 m/min的速度在常氧环境中每天训练1 h。将B、C、E和F组放入低氧舱内,氧浓度为12.5%(相当于4 000 m海拔高度),过8 h和12 h后,分别将B、E组和C、F组取出放入正常氧浓度环境。训练共持续4周,每周5 d。最后一次训练至力竭后24 h断头处死,取大鼠海马组织,测定Bax和Bcl-2蛋白表达的阳性细胞个数和凋亡指数。研究结果显示:在低氧训练过程机体对低氧刺激的适应性改变,使得在停止运动后,海马组织的损害减小。随着低氧时间的延长,低氧训练使大鼠海马组织CA1区的细胞凋亡有减少的趋势,从而起到神经保护作用。
