教师教育的发展与师范院校的转型

进入 2 1世纪后 ,随着国际化程度的加强、科学技术的发展和教育终身化潮流的来临 ,中国的教师教育呈现出高学历化和高素质要求、教师来源多元化 ,以及教师教育一体化、教师职业专业化等新的发展趋势 ,因此 ,师范院校必须不断改革 ,才能持续发展。本文首先从教师教育发展趋势的轨迹切入 ,指出师范院校在新时代中所面临的挑战 ;其次 ,着重分析师范院校战略转型的综合性及具体策略上的多元化 ;最后 ,指出在师范院校转型过程中所应注意的几个问题     

Paired peer learning through engineering education outreach

ABSTRACT

Undergraduate education incorporating active learning and vicarious experience through education outreach presents a critical opportunity to influence future engineering teaching and practice capabilities. Engineering education outreach activities have been shown to have multiple benefits; increasing interest and engagement with science and engineering for school children, providing teachers with expert contributions to engineering subject knowledge, and developing professional generic skills for engineers such as communication and teamwork. This pilot intervention paired 10 pre-service teachers and 11 student engineers to enact engineering outreach in primary schools, reaching 269 children. A longitudinal mixed methods design was employed to measure change in attitudes and Education Outreach Self-Efficacy in student engineers; alongside attitudes, Teaching Engineering Self-Efficacy and Engineering Subject Knowledge Confidence in pre-service teachers. Highly significant improvements were noted in the pre-service teachers’ confidence and self-efficacy, while both the teachers and engineers qualitatively described benefits arising from the paired peer mentor model.

Why some teachers easily learn to use a new virtual learning environment: a technology acceptance perspective

After a decade of virtual learning environments (VLEs) in higher education, many teachers still use only a minimum of its affordances. This study looked at how academic staff interacted with a new and unknown VLE in order to understand how technology acceptance and support materials influence (perceived and actual) task performance. In an experimental design, 36 participants were split into a control (online help) and experimental (instructor video) condition and completed five common teaching tasks in a new VLE. In contrast to most technology acceptance model research, this study found that perceived usefulness of the VLE was not related to (perceived) task performance. Perceived ease of use was related to intentions and actual behaviour in the VLE. Furthermore, no significant difference was found between the two conditions, although the experimental condition led to a (marginal) increase in time to complete the tasks.     

高职教育存在的问题、成因及对策浅谈

本探讨了我国高等职业技术教育中存在的问题，分析了导致问题的原因，并在此基础上提出了改进高职教育的措施，以期为我国高职教育事业改革提供参考。     

新时期韩国教育的重大改革与社会反映

韩国是我国的临国，虽然社会制度不同，但所遇到的社会难题和教育问题，诸如早期留学热、课外辅导热、教育不公、教师评价难、职业教育衰竭等十分相近。韩国与社会制度相同的欧美各国的教育改革也有所不同，每届政府都很重视教育问题，努力通过修订国家相关的教育法律、政策和采取有效的行政措施，积极推进多项教育改革，以解决学业负担重、教育质量下滑、社会不公等诸多社会难题，值得分析与借鉴。     

Teacher and school characteristics and their influence on curriculum implementation

Reform‐based curriculum materials have been suggested as a mechanism to make inquiry‐based instruction more prevalent in secondary science classrooms, specifically when accompanied by comprehensive professional development (Loucks‐Horsley, Hewson, Love, & Stiles, 1998 ; Powell & Anderson, 2002 ). This research examines the implementation of a reform‐based high school chemistry curriculum in a large, urban school district. We explicitly consider the role of the teachers' knowledge and beliefs in their implementation of the reform‐based chemistry curriculum, as well as school level factors. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected in the form of beliefs interviews and classroom observations from 27 high school chemistry teachers. Analysis of the data revealed that implementation of the curriculum was strongly influenced by the teachers' beliefs about teaching and learning, and the presence of a supportive network at their school sites. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 湖南"双师型"教师队伍建设的问题与对策

制度建设不完善，来源渠道单一，竞争激励机制与培训机制不健全是当前湖南省职业院校“双师型”教师建设的主要问题。建议制定“双师型”师资建设整体规划，构建相关资格认证体系，并从编制政策、来源渠道、培训体系、评审标准等角度进一步完善“双师型”教师培训保障体系。     

中学骨干教师培训模式的创新研究与实践

传统的骨干教师培训模式已不能适应新课程背景下对骨干教师的要求,因此,我们在培训模式上进行了大胆的改革和创新,即重在培养教师的教育理念和教育能力。通过培训,为职后教育探讨了一条新途径。     

Channel One Revisited: Prospective Teachers and the Role of American Higher Education

This study examined perceptions of college of education students and their experiences with Channel One, a privately-owned news service used in public education. Given that about one-third of middle and high schoolers in the US view the broadcast every school day, the authors surveyed 172 freshmen to discern their views and attitudes toward Channel One programming and commercials and the role colleges and universities might play in relation to this media service. While most studies on Channel One have been conducted from a K-12 point of view, the goal of this study was to reconsider the topic from the perspective of prospective teachers and post-secondary education. A. J. Angulo  is Assistant Professor of Social Foundations, Winthrop University. He received an Ed.D. and Ed.M. from Harvard University. His research interests include history of education, technology and education, and student rights. Susan K. Green  is Associate Professor of Educational Psychology, Winthrop University. She received a Ph.D. in social psychology from Loyola University, Chicago and a Ph.D. in educational psychology and research from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. Her interests include classroom assessment, motivational and instructional strategies to promote learning, and multicultural issues in education.
