The Experiences of Low-Income Latina/o Families in an Urban Voucher,Parochial School

Catholic schools have become a popular choice for many low income families Latino/a families. Families enrollment in these schools are often faced with the mandate to participate. However, regardless of the mandate, some schools often experience low parental participation. The purpose of this study is to document the experiences of low income, Latino/a families around parental involvement in hopes of understanding the reasoning for participating (or not) in their child’s school. The researchers conclude that families do not participate for a number of reasons including lack of opportunities, and an unwelcoming environment. The implications for Latina/o urban education are discussed.

阿尔兹海默症患者的语义记忆损伤:表现、理论及展望

图片命名、范畴流畅性等神经心理学测验表明,阿尔兹海默症(AD)患者普遍存在语义记忆的损伤,并随着病程的发展表现出进行性与弥散性特点。AD患者语义记忆的损伤既可能由语义知识的存储障碍造成,也可能由语义知识的提取障碍引发,还可能由存储与提取的双重损伤造成。未来研究应开发出对早期AD检测更为敏感的语义记忆测验,并采用横向与纵向多种研究技术与手段,考虑不同语言文化背景下AD患者语义损伤的情况,以综合分析AD患者语义记忆损伤的实质及其发展趋势。

程度副词修饰名词原本不是一个被语法学界完全认可的语法组合,然而在当代口语及书面语中,“程度副词 名词”组合却有越来越多的人使用。可见,“程度副词 名词”虽是一类很特殊的结构,但已具有相当程度的可接受性。与一般意义上的名词不同,进入这一结构中的名词需具有由具体指称向情状描述转化的潜在语义特征,这一类名词与程度副词的组合弥补了形容词语义表达上的问题,并由此引发了部分名词向名形兼类词的转变。

校园选址规划建设是学校总体建设的主要组成部分，近年来，高校校园选址规划建设存在校园选址欠妥、不注重土地使用效益、功能分区不合理等问题。解决这些问题的对策主要是坚持以人为本，贯彻“适用”、“经济”、“美观”的方针进行科学选址、合理规划，既尊重总体规划又不断完善总体规划，走可持续发展的道路。     

Which notion of implication is the right one? From logical considerations to a didactic perspective

Implication is at the very heart of mathematical reasoning. As many authors have shown, pupils and students experience serious difficulties in using it in a suitable manner. In this paper, we support the thesis that these difficulties are closely related with the complexity of this notion. In order to study this complexity,we refer to Tarski's semantic truth theory,which contributes to clarifying the different aspects of implication: propositional connective, logically valid conditional, generalized conditional,inference rules. We will show that for this purpose, it is necessary to extend the classical definition of implication as a relation between propositions to a relation between open sentences with at least one free variable. This permits to become aware of the fact that, in some cases, the truth-value of a given mathematical statement is not constrained by the situation, contrary to the common standpoint that, in mathematics, a statement is either true or false. In the present paper, the didactic relevance of this theoretical stance will be illustrated by an analysis of two problematic situations and the presentation of some experimental results from our research on first-year university students' understanding of implication. 汉语下肢语义场的历史演变

汉语下肢语义场是词汇系统中典型的语义场之一 ,这一语义场的“能指”从古到今发生了比较显著的变化。本文拟对古汉语下肢语义场内各义位的使用及其历史演变情况作较为详尽地描写 ,在此基础上分析各语义子场内多元体存在的价值 ,探讨下肢语义场的演变特点及规律 ,探求下肢语义场演变的原因。     

语义单位的句法组合原理

有些符合语法规则的短语不能成立，究其根本原因在于语义。运用义素分析方法研究语义单位组合的规则是解释词语组合原理的科学方法。从目前分析的结果看，语义单位进行句法组合有三项重要的定律与一项规则，即：义位组合的语义成分不矛盾律，义位组合的语义成分条件关系律，义位组合的语义成分蕴含关系律，以及语义组合想象合理的规则。常规的义位组合必须遵守前三项定律中的其中之一，非常规的义位组合应该遵循语义组合想象合理规则。不违背句法组合原理的短语可以在语言中存在。
