在移动互联网迅速普及的时代背景下,各类丰富的英语词汇习得模式也在PC和移动互联终端中应运而生。其发展一方面继承者传统英语学习理论,另一方面又体现出自身独特性。笔者基于调查问卷和实证测试所得数据,整理分析了高等教育阶段学生借助移动互联网自主习得英语词汇的基本取向和情况。在理论和实证论述的基础上得出移动互联时代英语词汇自主性习得模式研究对高等教育的启示。  相似文献

It would be impossible to preface what follows with one of those ‘disclaimers’ that insist ‘the views and opinions expressed in this article are those of the author and do not reflect the views of…’ This would not only be disingenuous, it would deny the history that I draw on to make an argument about teaching, learning and research. Twenty-five years ago I came to the Institute of Education to do an MA in Language and Literature. My tutors were Jane Miller and Tony Burgess. Since 1989 I have been working at the Institute as a member of what used to be called the English department, largely as a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) and MA tutor. My ideas about classrooms as places where creativity and cultural making are defining characteristics have grown out of my work here, the time I’ve spent in classrooms and working with trainee teachers and MA students. As important have been the conversations I have had with colleagues in the Institute and the writing I’ve done with them. This history has its roots in the work of James Britton and Harold Rosen and their insistence that we have no choice but to ‘begin from where the children are’ (Britton, J. [1970 Britton, J. John Yandell’s work is part of this history, particularly his many studies of the ways in which students illuminate and make sense of the literature they encounter in the classroom. ‘The text, the classroom and the world outside’ is the sub-heading of Chapter 6 of his book The Social Construction of Meaning: Reading Literature in Urban English Classrooms (Yandell, J. 2013 Yandell, J. 2013. The workload of academics in Australia is increasing. Among the potential ramifications of this are work-related stress and burnout. Unions have negotiated workload models in employment agreements as a means of distributing workload in a fair and transparent manner. This qualitative pilot study aimed to explore how academics perceive their current workload and the utility of workload formulas within their workplace. The findings revealed five themes: scepticism, anger, vindication, justice and balance. Workload models appear to have utility within academia as a means of balancing role expectations in an equitable and transparent manner. They are also useful for demonstrating workloads to management objectively and identifying staff at increased risk of burnout because of inappropriately high workloads. Problematic issues identified were perceptions that workload models are management tools to control and monitor the workplace, and their implementation would not result in change.  相似文献

工作记忆训练是一种在计算机上进行,通过集中练习、锻炼完成各种工作记忆任务来提高有关认知能力的训练。新近的研究发现,工作记忆训练能提升工作记忆、抑制、注意、阅读和数学等认知功能。还有一些研究发现,通过工作记忆训练可以改变大脑的受体浓度、皮层厚度以及白质结构连通性和灰质量。未来的研究应致力于进一步扩展被试、更准确地阐明工作记忆训练影响认知能力的机制以及提高工作记忆训练外推效度和加强应用研究。  相似文献

Practical classification problems often involve some kind of trade-off between the decisions a classifier may take. Indeed, it may be the case that decisions are not equally good or costly; therefore, it is important for the classifier to be able to predict the risk associated with each classification decision. Bayesian decision theory is a fundamental statistical approach to the problem of pattern classification. The objective is to quantify the trade-off between various classification decisions using probability and the costs that accompany such decisions. Within this framework, a loss function measures the rates of the costs and the risk in taking one decision over another.  相似文献
